Can any one tell me the difference between the Phoenix and the fluxomizers? I have a pack of the 1ml fluxo and I like them, except for the issue of the rubber insert cutting off the flow to the wick.

Is there a difference between these two systems? I need to place an order and don't know which to get.

What about the bottom coil? Do they leak, because I have heard they do?

If it helps, I generally vape 70pg,30vg. I am starting to DIY so I may move to 50/50

the fluxo and top coil are very similar. The top coil is supposed to have a different coil than the fluxo, they say its the same as the bottom coil. Visually i cant tell a difference between the coil on a fluxo vs top coil phoenix. Maybe chris or dan could provide some details here.

Taste wise, i love the top coils. Best tasting carto ive ever tried.

bottom coils have great flavor but its a very cool vapor. I personally like the warm vapor from a fluxo or top coil better. Bottom coils will only leak if you fill them wrong or if you squeeze the tube after its filled.

Ive had leaking problems with 2 of my top coils but its fixable by adjusting the cup seal, 2 others ive tried are fine. Chris said he's tested 40 of them and only 2 leaked on him, so i just got unlucky on my five pack. This makes them a little fiddly as you have to fill it and vape it and see if its going to leak down the center tube or not.

Actually no, the phoenix top coil's cup seal is the same one from the old fluxo deluxe. The drip tips that come with them and any of my own actually have about a 1/8 inch gap between the bottom of the drip tip and the cup seal.

with the fluxo supreme, i have some drip tips that will go down to the ceramic cup after removing the cup seal and as such i dont need the cup seal on them at all. The drip tip becomes the cup seal.

Do the Phoenix top coils have the same problem with the cup seal as the fluxo? In the picture it looks like the drip tip doesn't come to the top of the cup seal.

The problem I have with the flux is the drip tip pushes the cup seal down and cuts off the flow in the wick

I also take the seal out completely and just use a drip tip in the fluxo's. Sits nicely on the cup ;)

you guys and gals are lucky, none of my drip tips seem to reach! but then again I have no problems with my old deluxe middle seal :)

Pushing the drip tip down until it contacts the ceramic cup doesn't work on any of the earlier versions, unless you cut a little off the outer tube. The latest versions have a slightly longer metal tube inside than previous versions.

I havent had to fluff the wicks. On 2 of the 4 ive used i had to remove the cup seal and turn it 90 degree's and reseat it. The two were overwicking and leaking out the center tube. Turning the cup seal so the notches didnt line up with the wick put pressure on the wicks and slowed down over wicking so they no longer leak.

The other 2 ive used right out of the box and havent done anything to them and they work great.

Great!!! It seems that Phoenixes work nicely right out of the box usually. That is really good to know.
Thank you for your answer, MrWarspite :)
