I hope the nickname "Crystal Big Nasty" spreads like wildfire ... do you have any Protank coils laying around? I know you said you had no luck with PT's, but if you have some left they are good to practice on ... if you can rebuild a PT coil head, you can rebuild anything.

And welcome to the club my dear, you are officially a "vaper" ... we all started with the intent of just quitting smoking, and we all became addicted to what is now a genuine hobby for most of us. ;-) None of us "need" as much gear as we have, but like you said, its fun, and now its a hobby/obsession ... Easy coil for Kayfun Lite. I use my MVP to "torch" ie burn my coil instead of using a torch.


I position my coils exactly like he does, and use toenail clippers to cut the "ends" of the wire off the screws. I also wet the wicks with juice before assembling and do a few pre "fires" to make sure everything's up to speed.

Crankybiitch, here's the thread for the "official" Kayfun Lite. I read through the whole thing AFTER I got my Tobeco "clone" KFL. The original had quite a few issues and I didn't experience any of them with my Tobeco. The Russian is very, very similar.
They show a lot of different coil builds and different wicks on that thread. The Marstech KFL's I ordered from Focalecig shouldn't cause me any problems, trouble shooting should be easy if I come across anything after reading so much.

Well a little Review of the EGO batteries I got from FC. Unfortunately, not a good review. They arrived yesterday, and as I do with all batteries I put them on the charger. Didn't take long and said they were charged. I also test all batteries to see how long they last (even if I am giving them away as I don't want to give someone something that is bad) so I started with the silver one this morning first thing, only lasted 4 hours, not good for a 900mAh battery. Switched to the black one thinking I guess I just got a bad battery with the silver one, well it lasted almost 5 hours, still not good. The 900mAh batteries I got from FT, I ordered the same day as these, after 9 hours are still not blinking/dead, still have 2 of 5 bars on LCD. The ones they sent me by mistake last just like the FT ones, so it is not all there EGO's, but this one SKU, I would not recommend ordering this SKU from FC. Doris was good making the first order with the wrong EGO's right, so I am not going to hit her with another problem, I'll just put them in my backup box for emergency's, or some such.

Good to know Burnie, so thank you for posting the update ... well, at least they will have some use as back ups . Interesting that the one's you received by accident last longer the one's you intended to get.

Nikki and NiNi, thank you both, I now have a twin coil working on the Steam Turbine SS mesh @1ohm exactly and a single SS mesh on the Kraken @1.2ohm and well pleased with your help I was able to overcome this

Got an issue now with my Nemesis in that its not liking either the gennies, it will fire the Kraken a treat but the turbine... not a chance

Oh well, off to look at more vapey stuff

Think I found the cause with the Turbine, a tiny edge of one of the positive lines was touching a coil, wangled it out and its now sitting on my Sentinel M16 really catching me breath, what seems to help too is that nZonic head I got on the M16 to replace the useless alloy threaded head, according to my voltmeter I have 99.5 voltage throughput to the connector

Focale don't seem to be putting anything new up :*( Have to put Doris into the naughty corner for this
