1.8 ohms. I've tried with various clearos and the Squape. It misbehaves with all of them, but better on some, worse on others.

Is this the stainless steel Vamo? ... do you have any tiny o rings for the center pin fix? It really does suck to have to mod your gear right out of the box :(. Thank goodness I haven't had any issues with mine, but I have heard of a few who do.

I have only had this issue with one device in particular, and its only this one (it has a wonky 510 pin) .. so that is why I suggested that perhaps it was your device, but if its happening with more than one of them, I dunno.

Look into some of the other suggestions about the battery connection.

I know this has probably been mentioned in the 41 pages of this thread but does anyone have any experience with the Kayfun Lite Clone from Focal that looks like this

nhKLf49.jpg

I ordered a different one and they said that it was out of stock and they would no longer carry it so they would send me this one instead for no extra cost. It is the one that is currently $32.00 on their site.

And does anyone know if it comes with the clear tank section or if it is just the SS one?

I got the same email from Doris this morning. I decided to go ahead and take the chance. I've ordered the colored tanks so I didn't notice that this doesn't specify if it comes with a clear section.

I'm betting Nikki will be along soon to tell us what she knows about the replacement :)

ETA - the clear section is pictured

Going to start with the KFL with the Svoe Mesto logo SKU: 13202. This sucker is heavy, the seams are invisible. Threading is very clean. This does not have an adjustable air port and the juice channels are a bit deeper and wider than the other KFL's I've gotten from FC. Juice is put in through a fill port on the underside of base, with a Phillips screw with o-ring to seal, kinda like the Real KFL which had the leaking fill port! The threading there is also really clean.*NOTE: This unit does NOT come with tools, additional wire/wick/o-rings/screws, or an extra metal center ring to exchange with the poly ring.* The logo is actually a brass/gold color with black print underneath. "Made in Germany", "Designed in Russia" and the Svoe Mesto logo on the bottom of base. Comes in a plain black box, similar to a spark plug box, with "Made in China" on it, with the KFL sealed in clear cellophane. 84 grams total weight. Very clean build and look. Brushed silver finish. All 3 are pretty much exact, I can't find any differences. O-rings are pretty stout. Adjustable pin on the base. Very good buy for $15.32 each, currently listed at $15.63 (I got them for less doing the "bulk buy")

13202a.jpg

Squape SKU: 13164. Another heavy topper, 90 grams (urgh, so much for a "Universal" measuring system! Give it to me in ounces! Will metric ever be the norm here?) The drip tip DOES come off, just forgot to take it off in the pics. The stack/chimney DOES have a different coating/finish, as does the coil platform. Coil screws can be tightened/un-tightened by finger or flat head screw driver. Noticed the same "tool mark" on both coil bases, no biggie. Threading throughout is sweet! Air hole is just above the 510 threading under the base. Will have to see if it needs to be enlarged. No fill port, juice is put between the stack/chimney and inner wall of the exterior housing while upside down and base is screwed on. Juice channels are clean, deep and wide. Adjustable pin on the base.

13164a.jpg

Comes in a "Taifun" black box, stamped "Made in Germany". Bottom of base has a serial #. Squape comes with extra o-rings, wire and wick, Allen wrench, but no extra coil screws. That shouldn't be a problem because they do screw down into the base more deeply than some other RBA's. Currently sold out, but got these 2 in the "Group Buy" for $18.95, site has them listed now at $21.36. Polished silver on the outside with grooves in the center portion and knurling on the outside of base to grip onto when putting it together or taking apart. +1 for that great idea!

13164b.jpg

This is a pretty easy set up. Just 4 main pieces, the base, the stack/chimney, exterior housing, and drip tip, no multiple threaded stacking exterior rings to put together like the KFL's. Clear "windows" are poly, but not an issue for me, I have yet to indulge in a juice that cracks or melts/eats non-glass parts.

So now all this stuff is going to get cleaned and I'll report on their performance. If you can coil KFL's, you can coil Squapes, and vise versa. The Squape's coil screws are really nice, a lot better than those dinky little screws I always fear I'm going to loose or strip.

That is so awesome NiNi, they both look gorg, and I am especially loving the KFL ... I love that the seems are invisible, which is how it appeared in the photos ... to bad this is the one that FC can no longer stock at the moment (not their fault, the supplier is a jackhole), so they are replacing existing order with the more expensive KFL that comes in the Svoemesto box, with ss and poly middle sections.

I am so sad, because I really liked the look of this KFL, the fact that it was $15 was a bonus ... it looks more expensive. I hope they vape well for you, and I can't wait until you get a chance to vape them and let us know how all is. Thanks for the pics and the update NiNi, you rock!

It's the stainless. I'll make my way over to Home Depot in a day or 2 to buy o-rings. It seems to be an easy fix. It's just irritating to have to fix a new device.

Mira ... you're not gonna believe this .. you jinxed me! The same thing began to happen to me today, and I have had my Vamo since October and never had an issue ... until today . Resistance readings all over the place, ughhh, I am so annoyed, so I officially feel your pain. My oring is not worn out though, so I'm even more confused. I build on a regular basis so I don't know why its happening now .. I just pricked the center pin up over the o ring, and I was making good connection again.

Seriously, WHAT ARE THE FRIGGIN CHANCES?!!!

Maybe there is a bad solder connection inside? It makes slightly more sense than a worn out o-ring, especially on my device, as it's new. I hope not, as I really don't want to have to disassemble it to fix it.

So what are peoples opinions on this focalecig site? Any good ratings from recent buyers? I will be making some purchases at the end of the month from some new gear, so it would be nice to see what you have to say about this site.

I don't want to even think about fasttech,

So basically, is focalecig the way to go now for "cheap" prices and "ok" maybe even "good" products??

Thanks.

I am thinking that you may be right ... because like I said, the oring wasn't worn out, and the pin didn't look "pushed down", but I decided to lift it up a bit to see if it helped. It appeared to at first, but when I went to check resistance with it again later, it was inconsistent again  Arggh, I am NOT IN ZA MOOD!! .. so yeah, I better check the solder on the connections :p

My parcel left Hong Kong on a flight on the 7th no tracking update since I want my products lol getting impatient

Be patient my dear ... once your package is processed through Shenzhen, there will be no further status until it hits the UK .. I think Heathrow? Being that you are in the UK, Delboy is a better one to comment on the movements from that point on. And you are still very early if your package was processed on the 7th.
