Drinking and being enabled does not mix good. You'll be "...?, I ordered these? damn you!!!" Then when it arrives, "Not too shabby!"

Wouldn't be the first time stuff has appeared on my doorstep that I didn't remember ordering, lol. My wife often gets home before I do so I now have most of my purchases shipped to the office.

Did she mention anything about a nano version? I almost pulled the trigger on the FT one but I know others will be released soon and I'm hoping we see nano version.

No word on a nano version yet, but I was purposely NOT mentioning the Erl that FC was getting because in the past whenever I pre-talk products it creates too much anticipation and questions ..

The truth is, until a few days ago Amod was planning to produce the Erl clone with their logo on it, which was going to be the last phase of their production. I implored Amod NOT to do that because I firmly believed that no one wanted a Erl clone with Amod written on it  Amod listened and emailed two days ago that they would leave their name off the device ... very smart. :glare:

I can't remember what FaceBook group I saw it in but there was talk of a SX Mini pre-order and that Yihi changed it to 60w instead of 100w because of problems they were having. Makes sense since only one 18650 on a 100w just isn't going to cut it.

that makes absolute sense ... I give no poops about 100W, but that device is sexy and Nikki has to have it! I had no plans for vaping that high, but I want it :D

Was a interesting build, but all is well with the Rose [emoji1] . I do not know if the flavor is better than my kayfun yet as I haven't had my favorite liquid Virus in a week (taste absolutely amazing but cannot pinpoint if it is the Rose or lack of Virus), but will load my kayfun with it and do a side by side this weekend. The quality is absolutely incredible though. Not a fan of the thin drip tip, but it doesn't make it unvapeable, just petite.

Thanks again Nikki for the review as their is no way I could have figured it out lol

you are right, the magnets in the cheap srx are smaller and weaker than in sxk version.
about getting stuck when fired: noticed that problem, tried o-rings, additional magnets.. try to unscrew the pin of the switch a bit; this fixed the problem in my mod.

i've received:

-the kato.

someone asked for magnets to upgrade the switch. it's measures should be: OD < 7.95mm, ID > 4.75. didn't find any suitable magnet :(
but i used a pair of o-rings, and now the throw is minimum (<1mm), and had not to sand the delrin. used a 6(OD)x1mm rubber o-ring below the head of the pin; and a 4(OD)x1mm one at the top of the pin's thread. will try a kick when the flat chi you top cap arrives here (if it ever does it, grr).
i was surprised by the weight of the mod. can't understand how it is so heavy, considering that the main body is made of aluminum. anyway, i'm loving it. =))

someone asked about voltage drop. tried with a full charged efest purple 2500mah and a kayfun with a coil of 1.2ohm. the drop was about 0.25v, which is less than i expected. it's not an stingray x, but it hits enough hard for me.

-the rose v2 (lambo). didn't try it yet (it is getting dried after a light wash, it came very clean, no oil taste) but looks like really great. the ceramic parts are not loose (which is great) but a bit tight (had to sand one of them, after breaking the other one while trying to remove it :( ) will report my experience.

ordered an erlkönigin in ft. got too excited when saw it. 8ml in a very comfortable (i hope) and innovator atty.

.25 voltage on the Kato sounds accurate to me .. as I said in my review, it was definitely not the hardest hitting mech I have, but I could tell that it wasn't an insane voltage drop. .25 is acceptable for a stainless steel/brass contact mech. :)

Does this look like the FC (Limwell) Kato?

79136172.jpg

A seller on Rakuten has this for $46.99 shipped.

Kato Square Box Mechanical MOD Ecig Vaporizer fits RDA tank coils and 18650 batteries (Clone) - Rakuten.com

I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything else tonight but I'm now half drunk and dripping 24mg juice at .2ohm. My judgement may be slightly impaired.

It looks like the Limwell, but can't say for sure ... its definitely not a Hotcig, of that I am positive. But it could be from whoever made those two new gold and black Kato's on FC's site, and Limwell did not make those ..

Awesome darling, I am glad that you hit the ground running with it. :) ... but what do you mean you are not sure its the Rose making all that yummy flavor? :glare:

Finally found a good copper Akuma and now want a Stingray X (gonna let the Akuma patina up!). Any idea when FC USA will restock "(Ship from USA)SXK 18650 Stingray X Clone Mechanical Mod"???

Funny you should ask because I also asked, I think it was last week, and the answer was yes .. its one of FC's best selling mechs. I will ask the woman if she has a ETA on the next batch. :)

KidneyPuncher has a pre-order for the "Mini-SX 350". Looks like it's a 3000 LiPo, 60W, max 9.5V, max 25 Amp, $280. I don't like the Lipo and i don't like price :(

Shut the front door! I don't like lipo batteries either, that is why I am turned off from the Vapor Flask V1 clone .. Say it isn't so? I don't see how a lipo is going to handle sub ohms and high watts, it just doesn't calculate for me. :(

Ok so I got the Squape R on Tuesday I think, but never posted any pics .. Nor have I built it yet but I put it on the Robbot ZNA to see how it would look, and I like it on the ZNA even a little more than the Rose, but I am talking looks though being that I haven't built it yet. The build quality is very good based on first impression, the AFC ring moves easily and that 3.2mm air hole is looking mighty enticing so I need to get this built soon and give her a go

Looks really good on the ZNA Nikki ;)

Now get that thing built and loaded, want to see if your thoughts are like mine on it, you know I wasn't a fan of the squape v1 clone I got, but loving this reloaded one, and be interested to see what you think of it compared to the rose.

I will say the air flow is awesome on the 3.2 hole, but I found I lost flavor too, I am using the 3rd largest hole on mine.

I get what your saying and I'm sure there is current through the brass ring but there must be current through the spring too or why bother cleaning it or making a silver plated option. IDK, I guess it's both. Either way the important thing is that it's working great. I may have to pick up a clone because the Heron is my favorite atty right now. I was a little put off at first with having to use fluff but it's not a problem at all and I love the ease of use. Flavor seems to be better than my Kayfuns and working on it is as easy as a dripper.

IDK why they chose silver plated springs ( sounds always good ), I don`t see any reason for my Heron, to change the spring. If you get burn marks on your contacts, after having used it in high power mode, a harder spring could help. But who uses the Heron with 30 Watts or even more.

I 100% agree, the Heron is very, very yummy and most days I say: the Heron tastes better than theKayfun/Taifun/FeV.... and 2 days later I say: the FeV is very yummy and the flavour is better than the Heron. :) ;) :) On some days it`s not a question of atty, it`s my personal form of the day.
IDK why, but for me the Heron has the most intensive flavour. So intensive that I have to decrease the amount of flavour in some liquids.

    ... <snip> ...
I took the switch apart and used jeweler's files to remove the offending sharp edges, that took care of the crunchy/sticky issues. Took the magnets out and used a Nemesis switch spring for now and it's working quite well. If I can't find proper magnets I'll give your o-ring idea a try next time I have the switch apart, getting those weak magnet a little closer to each other might do the trick.
