Indeed don't go playing with lipos without understanding the dangers. It's not like they are super volatile, but they should be treated like eggs and with the utmost respect. You don't want a lipo failing on you. And as Nikki touches upon - BALANCE charge multi-cell packs. Caps justified. :D

Anyway that wasn't my point. My point is:

Huge thanks for all input on my request! I have reached a decision. Got some money earmarked for a couple of items (non-vaping) that I'm hoping to get for cheap on Black Friday. If that doesn't happen, I'll funnel the funds into a Vaporshark of some sort. Otherwise I'll come back and haunt you guys a little for the best Hana or ZNA.

Again thanks a lot. Luf u guys :)

Lipo's aren't that dangerous. I have multiple RC cars and never had any problems with them :D In fact I feel more safer with Lipo's than a regular 18650 in a non-regulated box mod with inferior switch and no mosfet. The burst amps on a Lipo is also generally a lot higher, so that your chances of going nuclear are slimmer than with 18650 of batteries. The only problem I found with Lipo's is that you can't let them get to low before you charge or you can end up damaging the battery. With that being said, Would I try to max my Variant out at 260 watts? I would have to be on a death mission to even get close:p. The battery would be the least of my worries. I think my lungs would give out long before the battery did. . I will probably run a 1.1-1.4 ohm coil up to about 30 and blow not the biggest clouds but some nice size clouds :D I'm a flavor chaser first and foremost and a cloud chaser once in a blue moon :D

I was surprised by the voltage, not the lipos. I prefer lipos over LiIon as they hold their voltages better.

7.4v is two cells in series. 3.7v x2. Or a "2s pack" as it's called. 2series.

Fun 'factoid': The name battery just indicate a gathering of 'something'. As in rocket battery. If I'm not mistaken the term was first used to describe a 'battery of Leyden jars'. As in a bunch of them hooked up.

Very true .. but I was also in talks with the manufacturer before the Variant clone was even made public, so it was arranged a loooooong time ago. I was just really disappointed when they released pricing for it because I had hoped it would be more affordable for all. :( And thank you baby Jesus it does not have that horrid rattlesnake sound of the authentic

Here are some pics to give you something to look forward too :D

That does look really cool, but what baffles me, such a cool sleek mod, and they put the same horrible point fire button as the hana on it

I feel better about using them after doing a good bit of research which I recommend to anyone who is not familiar with lipos, as I was. A lot of basic principals still apply, don't over charge, don't over discharge, handle with care, etc. But there is proper balance charging that I had to learn about, I also got a fire proof charging bag. I am still researching and stuyding about them too but that aspect appeals to me though.

The better life is the most pleasant surprise for me, I kept thinking how terrible a 1200mah lipo would be, but I was wrong. With the way that I vape the lipo is killing my 18650 2500mah batts in the battery life race.
that's really interesting about the lipo, i'm really shocked you're getting that good of vape time :) I ordered a hana mini to mod to 18650 but, it comes with a 1200 lipo. maybe the vape time might not be too bad...

My Hana 30 clone takes 2 seconds.
Mine is exactly 1 sec so it would appear there could be some tolerance stacking going on or there's a lazy component. Moot if you're gonna DNA 40 it at a future point I suppose. Hopefully the ohm reading will remain stable. I rechecked mine last night an it's adding as much as 0.4 ohm to resistances >/= 2.3 ohms, possible lower but that was what I had on hand to check with.

I was curioius so I timed it and it was 2 seconds. It's also 60 seconds to sleep. My rDNA 40 dims after 7 seconds and sleeps after 60 seconds. No delay on the rDNA 40 :D.

I would check the ground again. Even if it seems good, it obviously isn't if you're getting big ohm swings. My highest coil is 2.1 and read spot on on the Hana clone.

For those who may not have received the email... Focalecig is having an after Thanksgiving sale, from 28th to 30th, Hong Kong time. Some decent items in the list. Now I just have to figure how HK time relates to EST. I think 12 hours later but I'm not sure.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you're able to spend the day with the ones you love, tell them today how much they mean to you.

Thank you all for making me feel welcome, I'm truly blessed, I've meet so many kind folks here. :)

I cleaned the snow out of the driveway this morning, it's pretty but that's the only good thing I can say about snow. Now it's a quite and peaceful day here, Momma is on the mend and I'm taking care of her. The kids and grandkids will stop by later for pie, they always brighten our day.
