This thing uses so much juice! i lowered my nic down to 5mg from 8mg so i find myself filling 2-3 times a day.

Yea the Fogger definitely burns through the juice!

When I first got my Kayfun Lite in, I was getting way over nic'ed with my standard 18mg, but my body adjusted within a couple days so I kept my nic level at 18.

Now I seem to be going through this again, with the Fogger, same juice, I'm getting more nic, and going through more juice, and getting on the verge of over nic'd!

Guess this is a good opportunity to dial my nic down a bit.

Okay, the Fogger V2/3 lives to ride with me once again. This time it's an 8/9 wrap of micro coil 28ga Kanthal settled into 1.5 ohms and my iTaste 134 is hitting it perfectly bouncing between 8 and 9 watts (I wish it had an 8.5 setting). Wrapped on a 1/8" drill bit (3.175 mm over on the other side of the pond) with 3mm Ekowool. We wrapped the coil backwards (from the direction I normally wrap them) so it sits up high in the chamber then added a tiny amount of cotton on each side. I left the wick outside the base about 3mm then flared it all out once the chimney was screwed down.

It's actually the BEST build to date. I left Kansas with it and have made it to La Grande, OR crossing altitudes of nearly 8,000 feet along the way and it hasn't skipped a single beat.

I was going to take it back to my local B&M and donate it for them to either experiment with or pass it along to someone else who wanted to give it a go but I decided to try one more time. And just like all the previous "one more times" it suckered me in again with it's beautiful, sweet, thick and flavor filled clouds of vapor.

I just got a kayfun....and the ease of build and fill is amazing. It's kind of like a pro tank in that respect, once it's working just fill and go....BUT I couldn't leave the Fogger alone!

So I rebuilt it last night, took me a couple of tries to get it right, but one it's working, it's a great atty!

I may take it apart again tonight and take pictures since I've never posted any. Plus I want to try the 3mm ekowool now that it was mentioned....but I'll soak the ekowool. After you've used cotton, ekowool and silica taste funny :(

I have the wick/chimney o ring off.

I think I mentioned this in my post but my build gurgled and flooded 3x before it finally stabilized. each time I had to clean out the AFC section of the juice that went down there. FINALLY after the 3rd cleaning of the AFC, it vaped quite well to me.

I took the oring off and as you say it was a bit unstable at first but then it turned to awesomeness. Thanks!

I too just fill with needle tip bottle through the fill hole and the first draw or two may gurgle slightly. Then it's good

You fit 3mm eko into a 1/8" ID coil?

Sure did and loose to boot. 1/8" is 3.175mm, 3mm Ekowool can be rolled between your fingers and reduced by as much as a full mm. I build my Protank coils using a 1.825 mm piece of tool steel and run 2mm Ekowool through them without any problems.

I just came back to post... Like 2 hours after I wrote that, I refilled my Fogger, on dead empty. And *gloop gloop*. It flooded >_<

So much for that theory.

Still, I like the infuriating device.

My last fill, which flooded the worst, I waited till there was absolutely no juice in the tank at all, like I could see the wicks, and there was no juice around them at all.

My next fill I will do it before the tank is totally empty, but when it is close, and see how it does.

I fill my fogger first closing the afc then taking out the screw on the top , fill and replace the top then put the screw back on. I take a light primer puff and loosen the afc. No leaks

Only leaks if i take out the screw and use a bottle and refill by squeezing juice in. I guess doing that pushes air into the chamber and floods it and juice will leak out if you open the afc. I think if you cover the top of the chimney with your finger then using the juice bottle might work. But it's not easy to do with big fingers.

I rebuilt my fogger again made the wick a little thinner out the juice hole, clipped the ends flush with the chimney screwed on. My 3rd rebuild vapes great but even better today. I find the previous builds the wick was slightly too thick in the juice channel and needed more juice flow. The cotton slowly burned to the point where after a day the cotton in the coil was black and toast. I think i got it down now for sure but i have 1.5mm ekowool in the mail to try to avoid this problem.

just finished another build, ive never had a working one.
the build is great, but i flooded it by squeezing juice in thru the top as you point out in this post. i ruined it.

any fix for it once it is flooded? or just try try again? :)

It seems if you leave it sideways with one wick channel down, and one up, for a little bit, puffing on it here and there, it will soak back into the wick, assuming it hasn't made its way down into the AFC area.

If it has made it's way down into the AFC area, the best I can tell you just have to try to mop it up with some paper towel or something.

My Fogger V3 build has been going strong for 3 days now, really working well, I am enjoying it more then my Kayfun in some ways, they are both good units.

I have found on the few times I've had a flood that using the same approach that one would use to clear out a flooded carto in a tank or other types of tanks works well: I point the bottom up, far enough that no juice is covering the wick holes, then while holding a paper towel over the air holes, give some bursts of air through the device, which usually will blow out most the extra juice if it's dripped down into the afc chamber. (I have removed the airflow tube, which may help enable this process.)

Hold it in a paper towel and "sling" it out, blowing it out will generally cause more flooding, especially with a carto tank.
( I missed the part about pointing the bottom up, as that sounds reasonable as well)

Yeah, it's key to point it up, otherwise you will just make the situation worse.

Went ahead and rebuilt mine, after running probably 20 mls or so through it.

My last build was working really quite well for the most part, but I did have some occasional dry-ish hits, and occasional flooding when trying to avoid the dryer hits.

This time I did a similar build with some differences, 32 guage kanthal, 1.5mm ecowool, 2.9 ohms, about 3 mm outside diameter, not touching wraps but close. I left about 2.5 MM of wick out on either side of the channels, and a pice of 1.5mm ecowool draped over the top of the coil, with either end down in the cup to mop up any excess that gets in there, and transport it to the top of the coil.

Then I stuffed the 2.5 mm of wick that is comming out each juice channel back into the cup, with the chimney on, so that none was sticking out the channels, but instead kinda stuffed back into the cup.

So far this is working really really well, no flooding to speak of, and seems like the coil is staying nice and moist through chainvaping.

I am actually finding the build process on the Fogger to be really simple, at first I thought it was more difficult with the design of the cup, but with a couple little tricks, it's actually easier then my Kayfun to build in some ways.

Here's some photos of my nearly-one-month-old coil that I'm still using. The coil itself is now hideous and gnarly and needs to be rebuilt, but I'm posting these because I think this is just about the perfect amount of cotton to use. Unfortunately, I don't know the internal diameter of the coil, so I don't know how useful these will be to other folks, but I'm hoping this will help others with the Dark Art of Fogger Building. ;) This is 28 gauge kanthal, btw. 0.6 Ohm.
