Fogger V4

Hi Guys,

New to this forum but not completely new to vaping.

I'm about to purchase a Fogger V4 as my first rba, before I do I just wanted to ask exactly what I need to purchase along side it.

I'm going to buy an ohm meter but what do I need in the way of wire and wick and is there anything else that I require?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I would recommend 28 gauge a1 kanthal for wire, and organic cotton balls for wick.

Hi bholcomb22,

Can you tell me why? And do you mean the sort of cotton wool you'd clean your face with?

I would also recommend buying a kayfun lite plus v2 it's more forgiving with your build and a better starter RBA for getting your feet wet... Just in case you have trouble with the fogger you won't get frustrated

Hi Jdbaker82,

Why is it easier? The Kayfun seems to be considerably more expensive.

No you can get clones that are just as good for $25 range... www.fluidvapes.com

It's easier because it's 1 coil and less to go wrong and not as picky with the amount of cotton (wick) you use.

    No you can't

What device are going to use another thing what volts/wattage is your sweet spot.

Have you been using carto's/protank or what.

Do you mix your own juice or DIY your juice.

I see your in the UK in the USA I go to CVS and get cotton squares (make remover sq's) for my wick and get my wire from ebay or online vape shops 4 around $5.00 a roll for 100 ft.

Most import what are you expecting from using fogger or any tank for that matter that your not getting now?

As far as my ohm meter I only use it to check my batteries.

Most craft shops sell a coil winding kit for around $15.00 us here. - google it.

    Hi Mate,

I'm currently using a Vamo V5, I've also got a Cool Fire 1 and hopefully an Atmizoo Dingo on the way. I did have the Nautilus on my Vamo but it's really not working properly and I can't work out why so I've gone back to my Iclear 30B. I tend to Vape around 8-9 Watts.

I do not currently mix my own juice but will be giving that a go next after I've got to grips with a rebuildable. I prefer more VG heavy juices.

I guess Vaping is turning into a bit of a hobby and rebuilding seems to be the next logical step. I want increased vapour production and the chance to tinker to find a better vape.

I've taken the advice and ordered 10m of 28 gauge and also 10m of 30 gauge just to give me something to play with.

I didn't take the advice regarding the atomiser, mainly because I was really ...... and the fogger was sitting right on the page in front of me from one of my favourite suppliers for about 20 quid. If it is too difficult I'll purchase the Kayfun.

Why is 28 gauge particularly being recommended?

    This has been my experience

I've used a vamo up until two weeks ago when I got my Sigelei 30 watt. I've been using fogger v4 for about two months now

When using the fogger on my vamo no problems with it, my sweet spot became 12 watts.

The fogger has a learning curve luck me, I got it right the first time then started fooling around with it. I used 1.4 to 2.4 ohms on the vamo I prefer 32 ga wire and use cotton wicks. I don't find it hard to coil/wick just can't rush it.

Best starting point for coils and wicking, is watching video's on UTUBE.

The gauge of wire is one's own preference I like 32 ga.

The fogger does have air control adjustment which is nice and removable tip.

    IMO: Fogger good choice.

Yes just plain old cotton balls. That is what I was told to use, and it has treated me well. Cotton wicks allow great flavor, and it is a super easy material to work with especially when you need to rewick your coil. You can just pull it out, and put some more cotton in.

Do you have to do anything to it before you use it?

Nice, cheers mate. You've put my mind at ease. I don't see that it's going to be too difficult, I watched one very long and very boring video about the fogger and it seemed pretty straight forward to me.

    Hi mate,

Wondered if I could ask you a couple of questions.

My Fogger and bits and pieces have arrived so I had a play about. Managed to build a 1.5ohm dual coil on my first attempt, dead on in fact! Was pleasantly suprised. However it's not really working, getting small amounts of vapour but intense, chocking throat hit/flavour.

Two things. When I test fired the coil it didn't glow, is that normal? Is the lack of vapour my poor wicking? I used ekowool but it was hard to get in the very small juice channels. Will get some cotton wool tomorrow.
