I smoked for over 40 years-at least a pack and 1/2 a day...then I found vaping. Well, I didn't quit smoking, but I never smoked the quantity that I did before. But now its been 22 days of only vaping!
I've found that exhaling vapor through my nose also helps get more nicotine in my system during those bad craving periods. I also keep my hands busy...I carry a small pocket sketch/doodling book everywhere and draw in it when I'm feeling the need for a smoke. I thought that tobacco eliquids would be best to try to quit, but guess what? I've found that for me, what is working the best are fruity, lemony, tart kinds of flavors. I save the tobacco liquids for the very bad moments. Just don't beat yourself up if you are unable to quit the nic sticks right away...it will happen. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm using a MVP 2 with a protank 3 mini on it...and a VTR with a Iclear 16 or 30...I found that I had to have something in my hand that didn't resemble a cigarette (not good for me at all!). I use egos at work to stealth vape, but if I have a piece of equipment that I can adjust up and down as I need, I can handle the cravings a lot better.

Hi, good to hear that you're having success quitting after such a long time. I'm blessed to have only had 1 year of smoking, but even so, the craving is still there especially if you enjoyed it. I suppose it's different if it's only out of addiction or habit, but I'm not sure, I just know you folks would have an extremely hard time, based on the hard time I had when I quit.

Ok I have been smoke free for 3 weeks and 3 days I have been vaping that long. I have learned a couple things I'd like to share that hopefully will help some folks who are quitting smoking. First and foremost you have to want to quit there is no magic device or juice However Vaping is as close as I have found to actually smoking. This stuff works for me and is worth a try as apposed to giving in to smoking. There are gonna be a few rough patches and sometimes your device may fail to satisfy your cravings, when that happens to me I use a hard lung hit to get through that, from that I also end up with a good throat hit, what I do is breath in the vapor directly into my lungs and I do it for an entire inhale, This works for me just about every time. You can also hold the vapor in your mouth a few seconds longer to let the Nicotine absorb better. I have a small 3ml bottle of 24mg nic that I keep for times when I just don't seem to get enough all other times I'm using 12mg I also use the 24mg in my dripper unit. usually 4-5 good hits and I'm good to go.

There will be a point where the flavor of juice your using will no longer appeal to you this is known as vapors tongue, There are 2 things you can do about this. One is change to another flavor you really like. Second is to buy a dripper or RDA and use a strong tasting flavor. I like Black licorice its very strong and will cover any flavor you can think off. Most strong mint flavors will do the same. I use the dripper for an hour then I can return to my normal vaping flavor and enjoy its goodness once again.

The last part is a mental game try to wait as long as you can before using your device try waiting an extra 15 min then half an hour then an hour and so on when things seem to be closing in remember how much time you have under your belt thus far is it worth giving that up, that's time you cant get back. don't let go of it get online read some of the forum threads here that will occupy you mind and give your hands something to do and by all means Vape while you do it. before you know it it's bed time Pat yourself on the back my friend you now have another day under your belt.

I'm not an expert by any means but I have been smoke free for the longest time in my 48 year old life. Most times I couldn't get past 2 days. I smoked for 30+ years with the last year smoking 2.5-3 packs a day like clockwork. It's caused 2 heart attacks and other medical issues for me. I can honestly say I have the smoking licked I'm working on giving up the nicotine now but honestly I don't care if I have that addiction so long as I'm not inhaling all the really bad crap from cigs. I will keep at it though till I'm down to 1Mg nic then just vape no nic juice to see if I get through it.

Again folks this is what works for me I hope some of you can take away something from it to help yourselves or ever use the info for your own ideas at any rate I wish you the best of luck on your journey to getting your life back.

Sure can use it
Ncargrl 22 days is awesome keep up the good work it does get easier with each passing day.
I think if you smoke and get to a point that its hard to quit be it 1 year or 20 the addiction is just as strong.
The way I see it is addiction is addiction that addiction grows to requiring more and more over time, however the feelings of withdraw are the same for each of us regardless of how much or how long we smoked. Eventually the addiction becomes habit our bodies conditioned to going through the motions of smoking and not actually have conscious thought of the action. Then we add the brain to it all, our brain gets to thinking we cant live without this substance (Nicotine) because we turn into raging lunatics without it. We cant sleep cant comprehend and cant focus on anything but getting that next Smoke in. Its a demon that controls us like puppets. We try to quit and return to smoking only this time we smoke even more its our body trying to get back what was missing for X amount of days. Statistically its said when we attempt to quit smoking we only return to it, this time smoking more and creating a bigger wall to climb the next attempt.

If you have climbed that wall and are now on the smoke free side, I urge you to remember the struggle you just went through to get to this point. Your closer to remaining smoke free then you know, God gave you a superior tool its called a BRAIN your the controller of that brain. If you say you can do it and your better off for it your brain will get the idea and go along with the program. remember it was empty at birth everything that's in there is because of you, erase I CANT and type in I HAVE, I WILL and I AM That's (I HAVE quit, I WILL Remain Smoke free and I AM committed to the decision) aint nothing to it, but to do it. Good Luck your life is being returned to your control

I am doing good on 4mg nicotine its been a piece of cake, I guess staying at 5mg for the extra week has helped make the transition easier. I did last night accidently vape some 18mg juice in a .19build at 30 watts. I got a huge plume of vapor from it along with a very hot throat hit and later on a massive headache and very upset stomach. Now I know what nic sick feels like and it aint good. Today I tossed out all juice that wasn't the level I'm vaping, we wont be making that mistake again.
I am very much liking my new Hana clone I get the warmth I want from my juice and it has never tasted better.

Today I found out my buddy decided to stop vaping and start smoking again. I worked with him quite a bit he had a month and a half analog free. He just couldn't take the pressure at work and decided smoking was the answer. I cant be upset with him over it, but I am truly disappointed. I guess everyone has a point where they just don't care and give in. I just hope at some point he has another go at it I hope he doesn't wait to long.
I am very happily enjoying my Hana clone and Have been doing a bit of cloud chasing what I'm finding is even though I'm only using 2mg nic with 90VG 10PG 2 big lung hits and I'm satisfied for my nicotine craving Can it be I'm getting enough due to the increase in vapor Intake per hit? sure seems that way

Change the air filter/filters in your car
Check the manual, some cars have two filters
As long as the smoky filter is in there, you will smell it.
Took my car into the dealership shop to have it changed, and they said it only had one ...:censored:
After still smelling it, I checked the manual, and sure enough, there was a second filter behind the glovebox.
Changed it, and no more stink.

Alrite, I will def give it a try. Thanks

Well today marks week 11 since I started Really vaping and its also week 11 off the analogs. Joining this forum has made the whole experience an easier transition for me. I have learned a great deal, Talked with some of the finest folks in the world and even helped a few along the way. I can feel my health is so much better already. I'll stay at 4mg one more week even though I'm down to hitting my Hana clone for 6 vapes @ 8 sessions a day and perfectly satisfied. I have been also vaping No Nicotine juice 90VG/10PG in some dripping gear having fun making monster clouds.
