Andrea my love, you can use a 510 drip tip. The unit comes with a screw in adapter that allows all your favorites to be used. One of my local shops has them and compared to my Authentic one, its a very good clone. It is however $50, but I see the same one there selling on a site I found for $25. I can link you the site if you like.

Sure, I'd love that link! I'm thinking that coil building would be a lot easier if I didn't need a magnifying glass to see how many wraps there are... it's hard to hold a magnifying glass, a coil head, and a needle to separate the wraps, all at once... :D Also, for these tiny T3S's I'm doing, I think I should get a drill bit that's a lighter colored metal... the one I have is very dark, about the same color as the wire itself, so it's very hard to see against that dark metal drill bit. But a different drip tip on a kayfun?? AWESOME!!! That's about the best news I've heard all week!

Thx!

Ok I have been smoke free for 3 weeks and 3 days I have been vaping that long. I have learned a couple things I'd like to share that hopefully will help some folks who are quitting smoking. First and foremost you have to want to quit there is no magic device or juice However vaping is as close as I have found to actually smoking. This stuff works for me and is worth a try as apposed to giving in to smoking. There are gonna be a few rough patches and sometimes your device may fail to satisfy your cravings, when that happens to me I use a hard lung hit to get through that, from that I also end up with a good throat hit, what I do is breath in the vapor directly into my lungs and I do it for an entire inhale, This works for me just about every time. You can also hold the vapor in your mouth a few seconds longer to let the Nicotine absorb better. I have a small 3ml bottle of 24mg nic that I keep for times when I just don't seem to get enough all other times I'm using 12mg I also use the 24mg in my dripper unit. usually 4-5 good hits and I'm good to go.

There will be a point where the flavor of juice your using will no longer appeal to you this is known as vapors tongue, There are 2 things you can do about this. One is change to another flavor you really like. Second is to buy a dripper or RDA and use a strong tasting flavor. I like Black licorice its very strong and will cover any flavor you can think off. Most strong mint flavors will do the same. I use the dripper for an hour then I can return to my normal vaping flavor and enjoy its goodness once again.

The last part is a mental game try to wait as long as you can before using your device try waiting an extra 15 min then half an hour then an hour and so on when things seem to be closing in remember how much time you have under your belt thus far is it worth giving that up, that's time you cant get back. don't let go of it get online read some of the forum threads here that will occupy you mind and give your hands something to do and by all means Vape while you do it. before you know it it's bed time Pat yourself on the back my friend you now have another day under your belt.

I'm not an expert by any means but I have been smoke free for the longest time in my 48 year old life. Most times I couldn't get past 2 days. I smoked for 30+ years with the last year smoking 2.5-3 packs a day like clockwork. It's caused 2 heart attacks and other medical issues for me. I can honestly say I have the smoking licked I'm working on giving up the nicotine now but honestly I don't care if I have that addiction so long as I'm not inhaling all the really bad crap from cigs. I will keep at it though till I'm down to 1Mg nic then just vape no nic juice to see if I get through it.

Again folks this is what works for me I hope some of you can take away something from it to help yourselves or ever use the info for your own ideas at any rate I wish you the best of luck on your journey to getting your life back.

Reading your post just reminded me that I had a stroke. And here I thought I quit because of an asthma attack. I seriously forgot I had a stroke, and NO, it's not stroke damage. I simply forgot.
I hear ya tho, I am right behind you on how much I smoked. 35 years, 2 packs a day. ewwww
Vaping itaste mvp 2 menthol. Congrats ~Barbara~

A rotation of flavors can help & so can a rotation of hardware.

I switch between my Ranch Hand (re-usable eCig) and eGo regularly to keep things interesting.

I have a post on how to get rid of vape tongue that I won't link to out of respect for the blog rules, but there's several home remedies to beat it time after time (it will come back, and back)

here you go Andrea. I just ordered one to have a second one even though its a clone its still a nice one, at least the one at my local shop and this one is in the exact same box. Kayfun v3.1 ES Rebuildable Atomizer Full Kit Clone For Sale From Angelcigs.com I use a magnified headset from harbor freight to help me see and good lighting. At 40 years of age I went from being able to see the nads on an ant, to cant see SH*&. I have a 20 gauge blunt needle approx. .9mm in size. I also have a 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 1/8 drill bits for coil winding. I mostly make micro coils, but every now and then Ill use the 1/8 bit and make a macro. I'm gonna try the diamond coil on the clone Kayfun. the diamond coil has the best flavor of any coil I have made. Should be awesome in a unit that has the best flavor already

Just quit analogs 2 months ago and now I have a rebuildable (which i still can't get right....it also about knocked me out with 12mg of nic) 2 ego twist and ton of clearomizers and I've learned to rebuild the atomizers with a nano coil that sometimes fires if it's at least an ohm. I've really dove in head first to e cigs and vaping. Seems like people are still going " oh is that the new e cig thing?" I'm like yeah...2 months in and I've already started DIY my liquids. Totally happy and should have done this years ago!

I totally agree that you have to want to quit, i tried many times before and it didn't stick, but i had a C scare that ended up being nothing but that was it for me and im DONE!, and im trying to get my 80 year old mom to quit but she is set in her ways, gave he my starter ego filled up the pro tank 2 for her and when i went to visit her yesterday wile i was there she had 4 cigs, every time she picked one up i would hand her the ego, she would take a puf and finish her cig. :(

Inspiration to us all!! Every "trick" helps...

My trigger is that quick "smoke" before a meeting... you got 5 minutes... quick smoke... NO NO NO... now I just force myself to take a piss... and on the way down the hall hit the vape... hold it in and when I hit the bathroom, let it all out (no PUN intented) kind of like holding that direct lung hit! :)

Mike, sorry to hear of the C scare. Glad you joined the vaping world. Have to admit, I feel pretty blessed that I haven't had (yet?) any of the health issues that so many folks are commenting on as I read through these posts. Re: your mom - hate to say, but she *IS* 80 years old. My uncle kept smoking his pipes up until they strapped an oxygen tank on him about six weeks before he passed away last summer. You DO NOT want to see loved ones suffer, but that generation (my uncle was just shy of 75) is pretty much gonna do what they damn well please.

I had my last analog just over six weeks ago, and I don't miss them in the least. I'd been telling myself that I needed to quit, but my heart and head weren't quite in the game. The rules changed once I finally found a setup that gave me the same sensations (holding something in my hand, the feel of the draw, etc.) So it's a substitute that works for me. Not going to work for everyone.

I hope this works for you - and maybe if your mom continues to see your progress, that might be enough. Maybe consider cig-a-likes - there's a feel to cradling a cigarette between one's fingers - maybe the ego isn't the right size for her?

Continue to take care of yourself and........

Well, damn. It looks like it's shiny polished stainless, rather than the "matte" most of them are. That's the main reason I'm a bit more interested in the Kayfun than others, it might be closer to the brushed stainless of my Sigelei. I asked a question about finding any combo RBA/RDA Tank in brushed rather than polished stainless, in the thread about what are you buying next. Hopefully someone knows of something like that.

I've been using 5/64 for the T3S and protank coils, it's the biggest I can fit in the slots in the heads, and the smallest I can get a wick through. :D I also have a nice 7/64, in that lighter colored metal that would be much easier to see the wire on, but it will have to wait till I get one of the bigger atomizers. Some of those AGI and AGA attys aren't too costly at all, and they would give me the opportunity to use a familiar tank-style, while learning to build the bigger coils, and also offer the opportunity to learn how to "drip" properly, on the proper atty for it; those little Joyetech 510's kinda suck, which is probably why I don't care much for dripping.

Another that I saw that I like very much is the Ithaka clone, it's the same 23mm as the Sigelei, but so far all I've seen are the shiny polished stainless -- but I have my eyes peeled!! ;)

I also gave her the small cig style but she said it didant give her the smoke she was expecting, thats why i gave her the ego and tank. And yeah she is for sure set in her ways. Thanks for the kind words. i'm 40 days smoke free and loving all the new tastes and smells i have missed for 35 years. :toast:

the one at my shop is matte I would call them ask if they can send you a matte finish one the boxes at my local shop aren't sealed so should be simple to open it up and look for you. that may also be a stock photo as well I have learned not to rely on pictures on the net lol.
I'm so glad to hear of so many folks quitting analogs and staying off them. I know its tuff, I have made it to smoke free, I'm still working on Nicotine free, but I'm focused and committed to this. If you have a loved one who is smoking Give them a vaping device and help them out. I'm helping a good friend rite now who wants to quit, but is finding it a challenge even with an E cig. Its not important to stop smoking on day one, Though I think its a big PLUS if you can. What is important is that they use the device as often as they can and continue to smoke to help when those bad craving start. Then try only smoking when you cant handle the cravings. This has been helping my friend. We spent the day at my property today doing some Turkey hunting and clearing some brush. I said to him hey I noticed you have only smoked 2 analogs in 6 hours, his reply was yep I'm only smoking when I have to and using the E cig the rest of the time. he went from smoking 2 packs a day to 1 pack a day in 2 weeks time. I'm happy he is doing so well as he has 3 little girls and a wife who depend solely on him. So you see you can do it by committing to quit using the vaping device and smoking if you have to to get by. just set a goal to smoke less by a certain day and Stick to it. Its hard I know it is but remember this Nothing worth having is ever easily obtained. YOUR life is worth having Your LOVED ones lives are worth having. I wish you all continued success and I wish for you to find they little trick that helps others especially your loved ones. Remember to be gentle in your approach, but firm in your stance.

That was my method, almost exactly. I didn't put any pressure on myself, but just decided I would give it a real try; putting it off when I'd feel the need for a smoke, vaping instead, but allowing myself to have a cigarette anytime I *really wanted a cigarette.* After 3 wks, I was down to 5 a day, and the real ones tasted so bad, I stopped wanting them much at all, then it was 4 a day, then 3, then 2, then for 3 days in a row, just 1 in the morning. I knew then, if that morning crave was the worst or only real problem, I could probably overcome it -- the first morning without a smoke was a challenge, but I made it thru. Once I'd had my breakfast, I was over it, and knew I could really do this.

I've just hit 1000 cigs unsmoked, and that is a wonderful feeling, knowing that's 1000 x 6mg of tar that did NOT go into my lungs. Just a miracle!

and ps.... did you get my private message? I am really all screwed up on this forum. I really don't know where I go and how I got there and when to go back to a thread because no notifications are working for me. It appears as tho I ignore people, I think. :(

Oh, and if you click it, it gets bigger . . .

I was talking about your sig banner, not your avatar. I did get your msg, and replied, much the same as I replied here. :D I like the avatar too, but I really admire that sig banner and wanted to get one like it, but that site doesn't have a link to create a sig banner anywhere on it.

If you can afford it id get a decent VV/VW mod and an aspire nautilus tank. That makes a tremendous difference over the disposable things out there.

I LOVE my nautilus! Just got mine in the other day and planning on getting at least two more. It holds a lot of juice (~5ml) and the draw/flavor is awesome. A little pricey but well worth it!
