Here it is with a satin silver extension cap polished to match. So no black in the round dimples at the bottom

That looks so awesome!!! The only difference is I don't need or want it polished as in shiny, I want mine to be like a brushed, matte silver finish, like how the Satin Silver looks, in that realm.

The hardest part is taking the provari apart. Stick a carto in the top, put it in a drill and spin it on sand paper. Start course and work your way to fine. Stop when you get the look you want.
If you want polished go up to 2000 grit then polish...
You can also disassemble it, glass-bead it, paint it any color you want then sand it.
I restore cars for a living maybe that is why this seems so simple to me....

Ya, I would most likely not be able to do that as easily, wish I could though.

So amazing looking. That is so very lovely looking.

Maybe I should start buying some, customize them ans sell them. lol
Honestly it is really a nich market, I'm sure you could find someone local to do it for you. The thing with the provari is the side button. To polish or refinish it correctly the button needs to be removed which essentially requires disassembling it. If you are still in warranty I would assume that would void it.

You have a chance to ask ProVape something I've been curious about. I wonder if you bought a ProVari, would ProVape just send you the body, which you could have customized, then sent back to them to be completely assembled. All they could say is no.

I just sent Kim an email to see if this is possible. I will let you know what I find out. :)

There are a couple of guys who post here who took them apart. Apparently it's not that difficult for people who are used to dealing with circuitry.

Taking a ProVari apart is extremely simple...

I use a very fat center punch / scribe... Push the scribe through the battery opening and around the circuit board until it makes contact with the top cap... Pop the handle of the scribe on a hard surface to pop the top cap off... The wires going to the circuit board will keep the top cap from flying off... The circuit board is held in the tube with 2 dots of hot glue... Pull those off and the circuit board slides right out... The top cap and circuit board can be removed as a single assembly.

Make sure to catch the button when you slide out the circuit board... Remove the two screws holding the window in place. Press the window into the tube and catch it on either end of the tube.

Done!

Literally takes like 1 minute or less... Took longer to type how it's done

Putting it back together is the same in reverse... Just be careful not to pinch the O-rings on the top cap where it press fits into the tube!

I'd be interested also to see if they will sell just a tube... You can purchase a replacement tube as an out of warranty repair part. Maybe they'd be willing to sell an unfinished tube for the out of warranty repair price? I doubt it, but you never know!

It sounds easy enough but there is no way I'd be able to do it, I know me and I'd get so impatient and break some thing. And then I would cry lol.

We shall see what they say :)

Hmm. But what if you...
a) bought a ProVari - even a used one
b) took it apart and had the body custom finished
c) sent all the parts back to them and paid for a "repair"?

LOL

I got my answer today. No can do on the buying the Mini Body and having it customized then set back to have it all put together and sent to me. Totally understandable, I'm glad I asked though.
