After struggling with a leaky uwell Crown for a few weeks, I think I have found the source of my problems.

The original problem was that my Crown, when left sitting upright for a few hours (i.e. overnight on a mod) would leak a decent proportion of its contents out through the airholes. it vaped fine when in use.

Last night I thought I would have one more go at making it work before assigning it to the Drawer of Shame.

I stripped it down and cleaned it. The thing I noticed was that the small, flat o-ring that fits inside the top fill cap (and seals against the top of the chimney) was not sitting straight. It seemed like the o-ring was too big to sit flat in its notch in the top cap.

I compared the original o-ring with the spares and lo-and-behold it was, in fact, larger than both spares. I fitted a spare and... now I have been using it for about 18 hours, including overnight, without a single drop of leakage. This includes some pretty heavy temp changes (25C in my living room to -14C outside last night and back again).

I hope this might help someone else with a leaky Crown.

Thanks dude!

I will give that a try today.

I installed a new Crown coil and a RBA in my 2 Crowns last night and was sure to ensure everything was tight.... both eaked like sieves.

The Crown is the best tank for flavour and vape IMO, but I can't trust the damned things when I go out. I never take a Crown tank with me when I go out.
