Ok, it's a bit of a workaround, and I know that it's not brilliant but I have set a light blue background for the pm tables. It had to be a color that would contrast with both the content text (light color) and the rest of the text (dark color). I hope that improve things.

Here is an idea from me.

Have you guys considered doing some regional forums? Sometimes it is nice to talk to people from your area. Sometimes there are specific things that would fit better in that style than in general. IE, talking about specific smoke shops in NM, etc. or other developments. I think region is probably just as good as state until you end up with 1000's of users.

Not sure if there is any interest in this, but all of the other forums i am on have the feature and it is very nice.

Thanks again for your work on the forum Joe. It's really a whole lot better readable now (for me); both day- and nighttime possible to visit here now, great! Real kind of you; I know my ermm... at a certain moment not unnoticed looking in here contributed a lot to you doing all this... I'm real happy with the result... but real sorry for being at least part-cause for all the trouble and time you spent on these changes. Could make for a good starting point.

I'm not opposed to this idea ... I just don't see its usefulness or need. I've seen these regional breakdowns elsewhere, but usually there's a reason. I can't think of a reason for an e-smoking forum. Lemme know more of your thinking behind why this is needed. I can be won over...

Regions, or states rather are going to eventually have different suppliers, problems, experiences, etc. I realize that the e-smoking thing is in it's infancy, but it would be cool to connect with my locals as well as the world. That make any sense?

one example, Meltrex said there were a few places that just don't want e-smoking in their establishments.. The names are good info to have if you live down here, but not so important to anyone else.

Not saying it is necessary at all, and it may flop entirely, but i think it could be a nice touch.

and if phpbb3 is anything like phpbb2, it isn't a very hard change to implement.

I agree with Tropical Bob.....I'm not opposed to the idea, but I do enjoy the international aspects of this forum. I really do think it is the best forum of its kind on the web. Of course, I can't read some of the ones in different languages, but I just think this forum has come together in a unique way and I really like hearing from everyone in different parts of the world. There is a great collection of talents here that has made for a very special exchange of ideas and experiences.

I'm new on this forum but dare I be brazen enough to complain about one aspect!
Could you please do something about that muted grey font that is used under the avatars, the time of day and whatever other sections you use this muted grey font? I can't read it even if I zoom in to 150!
