Got two emails from paypal today ..... errrrr

First one warning me that I've had too many transactions that are "gifts" lately.
I sold a couple of REOs and some engine parts on another forum.
So I had 5 of them in the last 30 days.

Second one less than 1 minute later tells me that my account follows trends that leave them open for loss because I don't keep the money I get in my paypal to cover disputes or cash backs ....

Huh ... Isn't that why they have my bank account info ???

So they will be holding all incoming funds for 21 days before its available to me .....

WTF .... been with them for 15 years at least with hundreds of transactions and never had one dispute filled against me......

I'm tempted to drive down to HQ and start beating people with a stick ..... :(

that is crazy. I've so never heard of that before. I did have one weird thing with money I sent........the seller got their money, but then it looked like I filed a dispute against the seller a few days later. The money had already went from me to him & neither of us had filed a dispute. The seller & I had both dealt with each other several times & pretty much summed it up to possibly they were thinking ecigs?.......................we never did figure it out & the dispute was dropped in a few days. WEIRD.....

I'd be super mad right now if I was in your shoes. Exactly, that's why they have our bank account information.

google checkout is good, moneybookers is good, moneygram is good with their rewards program.

PP is coming down on gifting in general I believe, WTF if they dont like that opt then why do they offer it ? it absolutely makes no sense to me, so what if you gifted your kids money every week to there acct would they stop you from being a customer or gifting. I think PP is getting upset they arent getting a lot of the funds they should be from the e-cig market and are getting ...... off. Maybe they should rethink taking whatever the kickback was that made them agree with the feds not to allow ecig transactions in the USA. Isn't it kind of crazy they allow it in other countries but not in the USA ? I think it's a joke, they got on the wrong ban wagon now there PO's they are loosing money in the "gift" Opt in the ecig industry in general. I hope Bitcoin takes all there business away someday or another funding source comes out that is better than PP Soon and they allow all ecig transactions ! Would be a great business venture to start right now too,, in being the only on line funding source for ecig transactions in the USA !

oh man, I don't blame you for being steamed... sometimes these "free" services turn out to be a hassle -- I swear I would not use it if if I didn't have to!

The problem is that a lot of people use the "gift" option to avoid the paypal fees, no offense but that's kind of scamming paypal.. not that I agree with their practices in general.

Glad I never associated PayPal with a bank account. Mine is totally through my credit card. PayPal doesn't like it that way but they'll do it.
Well good for you, because I had my bank on PP, with Visa as backup. In the past I could just let it select Bank Account for payments even with no money in the bank, they would just charge my card without affecting the bank account.

Now it seems they do an actual withdrawal attempt, which bounces, and I get charged for Insufficient Funds. I didn't know this was happening because they would charge my Visa, and by the time my bank statement came, there was $600 in charges for bouncing checks.

Thanks PP! Gonna try to work it out but it's not the bank's fault, and I doubt PP will fork over the dough. :(

Sorry BH you are in the wrong. Those weren't gifts. They were payment for goods. PP is not a charity. You will get your money it will just take awhile longer.
