I'd be curious to see someone who has one that Leaks try filling on and setting it upright without seals or Tip in it.

Does it Leak now. And if it does, does it leak Faster?

i fill them, then sit them upright not on the battery, they don't seem to leak, it seems to happen after you smoke it a little bit which leads me to believe something is causing a syphon to start. i've had one filled and sitting upright for at least 20 minutes now with no problems.

What I'm trying to get to does Removing the Tip do anything.

BTW - When trying to figure something out. Don't get to sold on Any One Possible Cause. Where as "Syphoning" may be a Cause. It might not Also.

Can you think of a Way to "Break" the Syphon effect? Or to Dis-Prove the Syphon Effect?

well if I understand how these work and I"m not sure I do, I assume we are basically creating a syphon by sucking through the mouthpiece which is connected to the green tube, this is sucking the liquid in the carto through the coil and up into the green tube. i'm guessing the air vents are connected to the coil part. Not sure why its not leaking through the air holes. I have seen some liquid come out the air holes once or twice, but the thing was gurgling so I can assume it was flooded when that happened.

so I had sat the thing down while typing this and I went to take a puff before I started typing this sentence. it gurgled and liquid came out the vent holes. I unscrewed it off the battery and the battery was flooded as well.

I could see leaving the rubber piece off to stop the syphon on the top, not sure if it would work like that though. or poke a hole in the rubber piece, but then it would probably cause it to leak.

Give it a try and let us know what happens.

Wouldn't it be Cool if there was some Simple Fix like Taking the Tip Off Every Once and Awhile of Storing them Upside Down Overnight and it Fixed the Leaking Issue?

And wouldn't it be Cool if you were the One who Found It?

Actually the nub in the center that touches the battery has two air holes in it the holes on the out side skirt is to let air in to the skirt the one that failed to fire I pulled it completely apart to see if I can put a new coil in it but I need a better iron the one I have won't get hot enough.its to old

I'm reversing my thinking. I think it's like a straw, you cap the straw full of liquid and nothing comes out, uncap and it drains. This last fill I know I got the plug sealed correctly and it's been dry hitting pretty bad. So if it doesn't get sealed right and starts siphoning, maybe that would cause it to spill out badly.

no I haven't had any leaking with mine at all . Just trying to see if I can see why others are having trouble with theirs .

Right On timh.

It helps when people try things so they can be Ruled Out or Maybe considered as Candidates for the Problem.

That's why I mentioned the thing about not getting too Hung Up on Syphoning. The Drinking Straw Analogy is a Good one for any type but a True Top Coild Design.

That is Also why I asked if a Leaker Leaked Faster with out and Tip or Seals in it.

The only thing that I can think has got to be the wick somehow .The middle tube is pretty tight the cop cap fits tight at least on mine . So that leaves the wick .That has to be the trouble.

maybe some are thinner than others .

And the First thing we Did when I wick Didn't work Right? Wick Fluffing.

Anyone tried it with Good Results?
