Hello everyone and welcome to my first liquid review here on ECF.

This product was bought with my own money and I paid full retail, (well, not counting the coupon code i found on google.)

I used a fully charged 510 battery and my 510 passthrough with an older atty i've been milking for a couple of months because I'm a cheapskate and an almost new atty, once again because i'm a cheapskate and didn't want to bust open a brand new one on some unknown juice lol! (actually because it's broken in nicely and vaping perfectly at the moment)

both attys were blown out and i vaped the 0mg, zero flavor pg/vg mix that comes from Cignot through them until the was no flavor left in either one. (you know the drill if you have ever used this method to get rid of old flavors, 4 drops heat and blow out then again and again until it's clean)

I got this in the mail after coming home from work last night around 9 p.m.and have spent the last 24 hours vaping this juice exclusively to try and get a handle on the flavor.

Ok, now that that is outta the way on to the review.

First off the packaging is pretty slick, think of an improved version of the Johnson Creek glass bottles in blue with an integrated dropper safety cap combo thingy. Impressive if for no other reason than you get both the positives of a dropper and a safety cap all in one and you are not pitching the safety cap in the trash, also interesting and pehaps useful to ummm, i don't know, maybe somebody is that the is dropper itself has milliliter divisions on the glass in .25/ml ,.50/ml, .75/ml and 1/ml segments. (actually i've been getting the DIY itch and i bet it comes in handy for that)

So how does it vape? I thought I had an idea of what it may be like from the website descriptions seeing as how words were thrown around like "urban cowboy" and "come to Halo Country" but there is more to this than some USA mix knockoff.

This is an amazingly complex flavor, the very very slight hint of the MLB flavor we all know mixed with smokey tobacco and vanilla tones is a very satisfying vape. To me there is also a slight hint of cedar in the scent and on the exhale which is very pleasant.

It is sweet on the tongue but there is no cloying sweetness or any poor aftertaste at all.

There is a smoothness to the throat hit that is difficult to describe. It seems to hit deeper in your lungs and rely more on the recipe than on the nicotine content which makes for zero harshness or throat burning that I have had in other juices.

The vapor production is just outstanding, this stuff makes plumes of vapor.

Ok, enough with all the gushing with positives like a high school girl talking about sparkly vampires, where are the problems?

Well, I would like to see the company sell in different sizes, 30ml was my only option and I was pretty worried I was going to be stuck with something I didn't like and had there been a 15 ml option i probably would have tried two different flavors instead of one.

I expected an ingredients list and it was not there but perhaps I should not have been surprised seeing how the unique taste of this liquid screams SEVEN SECRET HERBS AND SPICES at me.

Additionally I really don't know if this liquid is what folks on the ECF would label as the coveted "all day vape" title that I see used so often. I personally think for myself it is, but seriously ECFerrs (hehe) This liquid is not a traditional liquid and it's really difficult to throw in into any traditional category.

One more small note and I will get out of here, this juice really shows off the weakness of an atomizer that is past it's prime, the difference was like night and day between the two.

It's actually made me question why I bother trying to get those last few vapes out of my old equipment.

If you do give freedom juice a shot do it right and break out a new atty.

So the verdict? Try this liquid, The fantastic throat hit and uniqueness of the flavor is something you need to try for yourself.

Thanks for reading and thanks to the guys over at Halo for bringing something original to the market because that's always a gamble.

Riv :)

Sounds great but I just can't drop $25 bucks on something I have no idea if I will like. What if I'd prefer the 56 blend or the smooth 8 over the Freedom Juice? That would be $100 in juice for testing. They need to have samples - bottom line. I would gladly pay to try them.
I agree and when I griped at them in an email over that very same point I was told 15 and 5ml bottles are on the way. There is a 20% coupon code out there if you search it on google and the free shipping on single bottles helps a bit too.

What I asked for specifically was the entire lineup in 3ml or 5ml sizes.

I set aside a certain amount of money for blowing on stuff I may not like and kind of look at it as the price for trying new things because I have been burned on purchases I didn't like a bunch of times at this point.

This time it worked out for me and and I have more confidence to now try their other flavors.

I may not end up liking the new ones I'm about to try out but risking the money is worth it if I find a new flavor to add to my same old same old tobacco rotation of usa mix, 555, and kamel.

Cool deal and excellent review! Tasty Vapor has a really nice tobacco flavor if you haven't tried it already. It's my second runner up to JC Tenesee Cured.

Poor JC they get the shaft around here but I'm a fan.

I hear that! Listen, taste is subjective. You don't like it? Fine. But all this nonsense about ruining atty's is just that, nonsense!

As for the Tennesee Cured, I can't get enough of it! 555, RY4, Bacco this, Bacco that, etc, are blah to me.

It's possible that stuff was true, It's kind of an old complaint from what I see, I got my first bottle in October and never had any problems with it at all. I wish I had ordered another bottle of apple cider before it went away, I miss that stuff.

Based on the reviews that I saw on the site. Halo really has me intrigued so I took advantage of the discount and ordered the Freedom, Smooth , Vanilla Pipe.

Pretty expensive so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll like the liquids. I wanted to support a new startup and liked the idea of "Made in U.S" under strict QC control standards.

Also tired of Same Old, Same Old Liquids

I'll echo just about everything you said River.

Now of course taste is subjective, and absolutely differs from person to person, but I really think people should take a chance and try this vendor and their products.

I wasn't referred to their site by anything or anyone. Found them on my normal hunt for a new e liquid source so I can get away from products from across the pond. As I sit here writing this, still vaping Freedom Juice, I'm pretty sure they will be my source from here on out.

Right off the bat I desperately wanted to try the Bella Vanilla Cigar flavor, but was too impatient to wait till their supply was made and ready to ship. So I went with Freedom Juice 24mg expecting at the worst it would be like all the rest of the imitation, oddly flavored, under flavored or shady over seas produced liquid.

The free shipping and discount I found made me feel ok with the price and size limitation.

Let me say first that there are some ok flavors from the over seas manufacturers but I really want a US based supplier for safety, patriotism, and lack of possible problems with customs.

Also I have also tried the other well known US based company Johnsons Creek and while its a quality product with interesting flavors, I couldn't get past this certain flavor that seemed to haunt every flavor I tried whether it helped or hurt the flavor. Even tried new attys, old cleaned, etc and that taste was there in all of their flavors.

So I ordered Freedom Juice and it was processed and shipped very quickly considering its a newer company and they are swamped right now. Got the package and was very pleased with the look of the bottle as well as the safety cap and marked dropper combo, as River said.

To my surprise there was another bottle as a free gift. It was a 10ml bottle of their Newpure menthol flavor. Now as almost a total menthol hater it really didn't mean much to me personally. But, I've been trudging through endless menthol varieties in search of one my fiance likes so she gets off regular cigs. This is the first one she actually liked , I was shocked.

So then I switched to Freedom Juice not expecting anything amazing at all. WOW so underestimated this juice. The main thing that got me is the tobacco flavor is "real" more real then alot I have tried, then come the layers. Yes this flavor actually has real layers to it.
Many vendors claim they have complex flavors with many layers but Halo actually delivers. Up until right now I had officially given up on any tobacco variety flavors and went to the "fun" flavors. I really like the "sweets" variety of flavors but they aren't as satisfying as an alternative to analog cigs.

With the well crafted tabacco flavor and the sweet finish, Halo brought me back. It's also very much "all day vape" worthy. Add the born on dating and lot tracking, even without the gift or discount I would still be completely satisfied. I highly recommend people start trying their liquid.

So to sum it up I agree completely with River and can't wait for more flavors and size varieties. But would like to add that I would gladly wait a while for new flavors if they turn out as high quality as the juices I tried thus far. I would also like to recomend that they might consider some time in the future offering a 36mg strength.

Now I really can't wait to try the Bella Vanilla Cigar flavor.

I just ordered some 18mg Freedom. I'm looking forward to trying it out. If I like it, I may try some Harley 56. I normally have 24mg but thier site said you get TH with all of the concentrations, so I'll have to see.

Reading this review, I can hardly wait for the juice to arrive. BTW, thanks River.

I didn't see the place to enter the ECFLUV20 code, so I contacted them through the site form and Jay got back to me within the hour, and had charged back the discount to my card. I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I've been wanting to find a solid US manufacturer and supplier, so I tried the Straight 8 (?) and was dissappointed. I got caught up in the hype and bought before they updated the description on how strong of a ginger taste it has or I never would have ordered it.

I love JC's TC juice. That's been my main thing since I started vaping and I was hoping to find an alternative. I may have to try the Freedom Juice now as that's recommended on the site, and now by you fine peoples.

The Website Picture says " in stock" but the product description says Ships on 18th.
I wrote for clarification basically it's a coding glitch that the shopping cart system doesn't support Pre-orders. Long and short it is backordered until the 18th.

No problem for me I understand how Websites work.

I was very pleased that the owner got back to me same day with a nice personalized letter.

Hey there is some more info on this link, how I missed this thread is pretty funny since I didn't see it until a couple of days after I did the review.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/58541-halo-grand-opening.html

Read through it for info on flavors that others have tried.

As an update since my review I have still not vaped anything but Freedom until my Newpure came in yesterday and now I'm swapping back and forth between the two.

I'm going to try the Harley and either Cool or Menthol Ice next.

Thanks for all the replies and keep me updated on what you are trying and how it works out for you.

I also PM'd Johnny and he said we would see some coffee and fruit flavors soon, I'm not in too big a hurry though because I want to work my way through the tobacco and menthol first.

Hi River,

I saw your review, as well as a couple of others and I got the Menthol Ice today. I reviewed it in this section of the forum and put a picture of the bottle in my post.

I agree with everything you said about this e-liquid. To me it's as "real" as I've tried. That said, being a new vaper, I haven't tried much. I've tried enough to know that the "sweet food/coffee/chocolate kind of flavors just don't do it for me when I really just want a good smoke!

I received a 10ml sample of the Freedom, and although I'm a die-hard menthol smoker (or was) - I can't wait to try it, and I'm pretty sure it will change my mind about "tobacco flavored" liquids.

I appreciate the way this product is made, labeled and packaged. It makes me confident that every time I order it, I know it will be a consistent product, one to rely on.

I'd definitely order Halo coffee or fruit flavors, as I'm sure they would change my mind about those kinds of flavors too.

This seems to be the cleanest, purest e-liquid I've tried to date.

I just wanted to add my thoughts on the smooth-8. While the flavor hits kind of hard at first, it really mellows out nicely. It is a true ginger flavor, with a slight tobacco undertone that I don't tast until the end of a few drops in an atty. (does that make sense?) I have vaped about half a bottle of this, and don't taste the initial "peppery" bite at all any more. None of the juice that I have tried of theirs has that annoying sweetness to it that every other juice I have tried has. The Newpure I like a lot, and I was never a menthol smoker, but this Smooth-8 has really taken me by surprise with how much I like it, but I can definitely see how it isn't for everyone.

Also, has anyone else noticed how the flavors don't take over an atty? I thought I would have to use the atty I've been using for strictly Smooth-8, but the flavors don't seem to linger. I'm not sure if this is true with the menthols, but so far it is for the smooth-8 whichis surprising considering what a strong flavor I get from it.
