Freemax Maxus 200W Kit With M Pro 2 Tank
Inside the Box
Mod
The Maxus 200 has a swirl patter on side with two colour combinations, mine is black and orange, the other side it is black with FreeMax logo on it. Front panel has silver buttons, fire and up and down button and USB C port, on the opposite side it says MaXus 200W in black.
It also has a raised 510 plate where the tank goes, and it has with a spring loaded 510. This will be a good thing since the tank will not scratch the top of the mod. In this case the FreeMax M Pro 2 Tank it has at the bottom a raised edge or lip, my guess is once the tank is screwed on this help to not see a gap between both.
At the bottom it has five vent holes and an arrow, below a crevice, to show where to pull the door to insert or swap the batteries.
The sides of the mod are not rounded up, neither has sharp edges, it has rounded edges where one will hold it. For my hands, the mod is a little big, but I can still hold it comfortably. The side with the resin colours opens to show two magnets which hold the door in place. Mine has a slight movement to it.
The mod takes two 18650 batteries with a maximum of 200W. It has the coolest feature of all, FreeMax called it “SmartLoad Tech - Load at Will” which means one can place the batteries in any direction and it will work, even more if one battery is placed on the left bay it will also work as a single battery mod going up to 80W. it worth noting that if the battery is placed on the right bay, the mod won't power on.
This mod caters for beginners and advance vapers. From someone who only vape a low wattage but down the track might want more power and also caters for those who like to vape at higher watts. Is like having two mods in one.
The display on the mod is simple, bright, and clear and it has nested menus with a range of options.
To access it you press the fire button three times. This brings up the option of mode, set, info and exit.
In mode one can choose from power, vpc, bypass, different TC (Ti, SS, Ni) and adjustable tcr curves to personalise your preferences.
In set one can change screen timeout, turn on and off smart coil detection, view and clear the puff counter and puff time, also temperature between C and F.
In info, one can see battery, version, and temperature. A cool feature here is the battery info which gives you each battery voltage output in real time.
To exit the menu press and hold the fire button until it brings you back to the main screen.
If buttons up and down are pressed at the same time it locks and unlock the device while the mod is still able to fire.
M Pro 2 Tank
The tank is well built, it has a swirl patter on it to match the colour at the top of the mod, mine is black and white. Beside the resin it has stainless steel around it which will protect the resin and overall, for me it says durability.
The tank has two airflow slots at the base with a hard stop on each one, the airflow ring is smooth and easy to adjust but it also has the right amount of resistance that it will not move by itself.
The top of the tank it also has the same swirl patter and the drip tip is a standard 810 made from resin, any other should fit in there without problems.
The M Pro 2 comes with two glass; the pre-installed one has some sort of design on it and the spare one is a straight glass. Which one someone will prefer will come down to personal preferences since both can hold 5 ml of juice.
The tanks have a slide to fill opening, marker by a red dot and FreeMax on top, where it need to be pushed to open. FreeMax added a three steel balls to increase friction, to minimise the chance of the top cap opening and the juice leaking in your pocket.
Once opened it show the fill port, something to mention here is that it also has a small hole that line up with the drip tip to let air out while filling the tank with juice. This is a nice touch. I used 10ml and 60 ml bottles to fill the tank, with the 60 ml I can still fill it without problems but I could see that possibly the top part will get in the way of a 100 ml bottle. I think this is due to the height of the top cap and the fact that it does not slide further.
The coils provided in the box are:
I used first the FreeMax 904L M1 Mesh Coil 0.15ohm, started at 35W, went up to 40W, cooler vape, and flavour is very good, going up the vapor started to get warmer vapour and bringing other notes to the juice. My prefer wattage for this coil is around 50W to 55W. Definitively a cloud producer.
With the FreeMax 904L M2 Mesh Coil 0.2ohm is a warmer vape but full of flavour, I went up in watts but the vape became too warm for my liking. In saying so the flavour was excellent and for sure a could room filler.
Both coils are great, but I prefer the FreeMax 904L M1 Mesh Coil 0.15ohm so far, this coil allowed me to vape at lower wattage with a cooler vape.
The M Pro 2 Tank will be in my rotation. Love the flavour and is very solid. No leaking or spit back at all.
Maxus 200 Kit
Positives
In conclusion, I would really recommend the FreeMax Maxus 200W, is a cool mod specially because of the SmartLoad technology. I do think the tank complement this kit perfectly. It is a looker, well-constructed and the flavour that produce is outstanding.
I want to thank @Freemax_Jerry and Tina for sending this kit for review. I would love to test other FreeMax products, so far they have been outstanding. Well done.

Maxus 200 Kit
Positives
- Unbelievable flavour.
- “SmartLoad Tech - Load at Will” is so convenient – Best feature.
- Excellent construction and nice finish. It feels very solid.
- Fast firing
- Buttons have adequate resistance before it fires the mod, this will possibly avoid firing it inside a pocket or by mistake.
- A wide variety of coils and compatible with previous version of the tank.
- Can use own 810 drip tip.
- Menu is easy to use.
- Can be use with two or single battery.
- Solid tank
- Tank is easy to fill plus extra hole to let the air out when open to fill.
- No leaks or spit back.
- The door with the magnets in mine it has a minor movement when closed, a bit annoying but not a deal breaker.
- Top cap might get in the way when trying to fill with larger capacity bottles like 100 ml.
- It will be great if the colour panel could be sold separately so we could change them if we wanted to.
In conclusion, I would really recommend the FreeMax Maxus 200W, is a cool mod specially because of the SmartLoad technology. I do think the tank complement this kit perfectly. It is a looker, well-constructed and the flavour that produce is outstanding.
