Introduction:
FreeMax after having released Maxus 100W and 200w both equipped with the innovative technology for inserting batteries with no marked polarity, completes the Maxus line with the smallest and most pocket-sized Maxus 50W equipped with an internal 2,000mAh battery with fast charging Type-C 2A .
The design and graphics are directly derived from the older sisters.

Built-in proprietary FM Chip-Maxus 1.0 chipset, supports multiple protections, provides multiple output switching modes: VW, VPC, TC-TI, TC-NI, TC-SS TCR, and the intelligent resistance detection mode with automatic setting of the ideal wattage.

The operating interface uses three buttons for greater ease of use, the display is easy to read and shows the vaping data in a clear and complete way.

The tank used for this kit is the Fireluke 22 Resin Edition, made of high quality stainless steel, it can hold up to 3.5ml of liquid (2ml TPD) and has a childproof top filling system.
Furthermore, thanks to the internal anti-leak mechanism, it is possible to replace the coils even with the tank full of liquid.

The FM COILTECH4.0 uses military grade SS904L Mesh technology with tea fiber cotton and is compatible with the Twister 30W kit.
Included in the kit are the 0.25Ω and 0.5Ω DTL Mesh-Coils, the 1.0Ω and 1.5Ω MTL Mesh-Coils are sold separately, but during this test Freemax sent me all four! So I'll try them for you, thanks FreeMax.

First impressions:
Small and very nice, practically a reduced-scale reproduction of the Maxus 100 and 200W, the constructive solidity of the Maxus 50W goes hand in hand with the weight, 200gr for a kit of such small dimensions is not few, however it is precisely the very small dimensions which make it easy to handle and well balanced in the hand.

Coils remind me of something ...
What's in common between this little Mod and the Freeemax 30W twister tube? In form there is nothing in common, the only thing in common is full compatibility with the FM COILTECH 4.0 range.

The Tank Fireluke 22mm standard edition (Twister 30W) in the specifications declares an ideal working Wattage between 8 and 30W, while the more advanced Tank Fireluke 23mm Resin Edition (Maxus 50W) supports a higher working temperature, between 15 and 50W.

Freemax Maxus 50W how it's made:

The perimeter that develops on the narrow sides of the maxus 50W is painted in satin black, the front side houses the OLED screen, the Fire button and the adjustment buttons (+) and (-).
All keys are metallic, square in shape and with a good surface finish.

The side panels have a resin coating; the former has an imaginative color scheme and the colored parts are pleasant to the touch. The second panel has a honeycomb pattern on a black background and bears the words "Maxus 50W for the Max free"

On the upper side of the mod in a slightly off-center position there is the 510 cup with characteristic "X" machining, can accommodate atomizers up to 27mm in diameter without protrusions.
The atomizer installed on the mod remains slightly raised to avoid scratches to the paint, the gold / plated pin present inside the 510 thread is spring loaded.

On the lower part of the Maxus 50W there are six vent holes for the integrated cell, a numerical code and an indication of the place of origin of the product.

The refill from the top is child-proof, it is a simple but effective mechanism, just lift the cap and push.
The refill slot is wide enough and is surrounded by a silicone gasket.
The central steel structure (on the top) houses the 510 drip tip, the chimney has a 5mm hole. In the lower part the structure is directly screwed to the deck. The system for inserting / disconnecting the coils is the very convenient one called "push and pull".

Included in the kit are two beautiful resin Drip-tips, one long and narrow for MTL and one wider and lower for an DL / RDL vape.
The choice of using two sealing o'rings was excellent.

The innovative watertight mechanism of the Tank Fireluke 22 supports the replacement of the coil even when full of liquid. The liquid passage holes will be automatically closed when the coil is extracted. When the coil is inserted, the holes for the passage of the liquid open.

The adjustment of the AFC ring allows a good calibration of the Puff both for an RDL vape and for the pure MTL style.
The DL regulation combinations provide for a very large opening; three holes + slot, therefore countless combinations.

The combinations for MTL include a single hole of 1.5mm in diameter, a single hole of 1.0mm in diameter and finally for a super contrasted Puff you can select the small hole of 0.8mm in diameter.

Vaping test:
- Mesh Coil 0.25Ω DTL range 30-50W:
This is a coil designed for RDL / DL, of course I use it with AFC wide open and with the Drip-Tip DL.
The FM chipset recommends it at 30W and this is more or less the power that I also use, I tried to go up to 50W the performance goes up, the steam is abundant but sometimes it gets a little too hot. I like it used below 40W.

- Mesh Coil 0.5Ω DTL/RDL range 15-30W:
This is the one I liked the most ever it is perfect for my style of vaping (open MTL / RDL). Of course I use it with the Drip-Tip DL.
The FM chipset offers it at 20W, I use it between 22 and 25W with AFC adjusted to 3 open holes. The steam is hot and abundant, the hit is present and the aromatic yield fully satisfies me.

- Mesh Coil 1.0Ω MTL range 10-15W :
The FM Chipset proposes it at 8W, I used this Coil with AFC completely closed and with Drip-Tip MTL, I find that at 12W it expresses itself well, the emitted vapor tends to grease and is quite hot, the hit is good.

- Mesh Coil 1.5Ω MTL range 8-12W:
This Mesh Coil is suitable for the pure MTL vape style, it has a very elongated chimney with an internal section of only 2mm.
The FM chipset initially proposes it at 6W, I preferred to use it at 10W with AFC completely closed and with the Drip-Tip MTL.
The steam is fresh and very abundant considering the low power (10W). The puff is reactive and fluid, a feature in common with all COILTECH 4.0, as a taste it looks a lot like the 1.0Ω coil but in this case the shot seems drier and drier.

All FM COILTECH 4.0 are assembled with a special SS904L military steel Mesh and use an absorbent material which is a combination of 95% tea fibers and 5% organic cotton. This COILTECH 4.0 range seems to me complete enough to cover all vape styles.
FreeMax is famous for the advanced technology and the care of its coils, with the Fireluke 22 they tried to offer the best RDL and MTL vaping experience
with free-based e-liquid or with added salts.

Freemax Maxus 50W how it works:
The vertically arranged monochrome display is rather small, however it is bright and easy to read. The screen shows the running mode, the state of charge of the battery, the selected power, the value of the Coil, the total number of puffs and for two seconds after activation it is possible to view the duration of the last puff.

- To turn on / off the Mod: Press the fire button 5 times in less than 2s.
- Key lock / unlock: Press and hold the +/- buttons simultaneously for 1s
- To rotate the screen: Press the (-) and Fire keys simultaneously.

Freemax Maxus 50W offers many modes, functions, settings and information. To make all this quickly accessible, the main menu is intelligently divided into three sections (Mode, Set, Info).

To access the "Mode" menu, press the Fire button 3 times, the selections (Mode, Set, Info, Exit) will appear. MODE is preselected so press the Fire button to enter. Use the +/- keys to select one of the following modes (Power, VPC, TC TI, TC NI, TC SS, TCR 1-2-3). Confirm your choice with the fire button.

To access the "SET" menu press the Fire button 3 times, the selections (Mode, Set, Info, Exit) will appear. Use +/- keys to select SET, press Fire key to enter. Use the +/- keys to select one of the following settings (Timeout, Puff, Time, Coiltest, Reset, Exit). Confirm your choice with the fire button and make adjustments.

To access the "INFO" menu press the Fire button 3 times, the selections (Mode, Set, Info, Exit) will appear. Use +/- keys to select INFO, press Fire key to enter. Use +/- to select one of the following INFO (Battery, Temperature, Exit). Confirm your choice with the fire button to access the information.

FM Chipset with 2000mAh Built-in Battery:
The FM chipset handles the battery very well, I managed to do 442 Puff with the 0.5Ω coil at 22W.

Thanks to the USB-C port with 5V / 2A charging specifications, a full charge cycle takes only 80 minutes.

The active circuit protections on the battery are the following:
Short circuit protection, 10s cut-off, overcharge, overdischarge, high temperature, low power.

Final conclusions:
With the arrival of the Maxus 50W the family is now complete, I find that this little Mod works well, the FM circuit is full of features like on the big sisters 100 and 200W.

The updated Tank Fireluke Resin Edition has improved a lot over the first version and supports higher working temperatures.
The four FM coils have passed the exam and are able to fill the role assigned to them well.
