Hello and welcome back for the 2nd installment review of the 5 devices in the Rexa family. The Rexa SQ is a step up from the baseline Rexa Nano that I reviewed earlier which features almost total automation except for a airflow adjustment. The Rexa SQ has wattage, airflow and button deactivation with a 1300mAh internal battery that puts out a maximum of 30 watts but has a smart feature that only allows the wattage to be raised to the pod being used maximum wattage saving you from accidentally raising the wattage too high.

There is a display screen that totally disappears when not in use, it's blended in so well you wouldn't know it even has one. Unlike the Rexa Nano being button free the Rexa SQ has a fire/adjustment button that can be deactivated leaving the user with a auto draw only setup. The Pod has a 2ml capacity with a sliding fillport door that I believe is a first in the industry. For those of you that use lanyards there is a connection for that on this lightweight device.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Nice simple packaging with a inner tray sliding out from the sleeved outer box cover, the device with pod connected is in it's own spot with the USB-C charge cord along side , a platform compatibility card, Rexa Gold Hunt card and the owner's manual are also included.

Picking the device up I noticed that it is very lightweight, not a featherweight but close. I looked to see if I could spot the hidden screen outline but it blends into the chrome face so well that I could not detect it. I was worried with the face of the device being chrome that it would be a fingerprint magnet that shows prints easily but it's not to bad, that keeps the appeal of a chrome face alive.

The back and spine of the device are Silver in color but with a different texture that is somewhat sliddy when holding the chrome face is not. Branding is minimal on the back with Rexa SQ being displayed at the bottom of the device.

The front of the device has FREEMAX displayed at the top. The one side of the device is where the airflow is located at the bottom, resistance of the slider airflow control is very good having no worries that your selection will be moved unintentionally.

The other side is plain with no markings or branding. The very bottom of the device is where the USB-C charge port is located, the owner's manual doesn't mention what amperage it charges at but it's pretty quick. The battery strength indicator is a series of 4 dashes on the right side of the display screen.

I really like there's no rubber plug to deal with on the fill port but rather a sliding cover that cannot open once installed in the device. It is lightly tinted but I would like it to be lighter. The 2ml pod does go through juice rather quickly, I would love to see a 4ml pod option for the Rexa family of devices.

The Rexa SQ uses magnets to attach the the Pod to the device as most Pod devices do and these are pretty strong with very little play with them after being connected to the device. There's 2 vertical mesh coils in the Pod along with 2 air feed holes.

I really like the compact size of the Rexa SQ as well as how lightweight it is, I prefer to use the auto draw feature so I set the wattage that can be set lower than the recommended setting and still get fantastic flavor from the coils.

Freemax has always been known for great flavor producing coils. Locking the fire/adjustment button should be on all devices as it is on the Rexa SQ. The OHM load and recommended wattage usage for that pod is also imprinted at the bottom portion of the pod.

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

I will tell you that I'm very pleased with the Rexa SQ Kit for many reasons but for one that always stand out with Freemax' ( FANTASTIC FLAVOR PRODUCING COILS ). The compact size and being lightweight also are good features. Having a hidden screen that is bright and vivid also pops as a big plus.

Battery capacity last a pretty long time but you will need to charge it twice a day if you vape a lot or if it's your primary device. My only gripe is that I would like to have lighter tinting and a larger capacity on the Pod, everything else is a pro for me especially the sliding fill port door.

I would like to thank Tina and Freemax for sending the Rexa SQ for the purpose of this review and I would like to thank all of you folks that read my reviews.

    THANK YOU
