Hello just was curious in some of your opinions... Upgraded from cheap vape pen to s kanger kbox mini w toptank mini , started w Clapton coils but noticed everyone else's hit smoother and cooler then mine, tried the nickel coil and loved it, lot cooler of smoke, then I noticed that I had a bad after taste with every flavor. Decided I needed to switch coils so I tried the ceramic, too hot, back to the nickel... That's where my problems came in, they would read .25ohms -.35ohms and would kill the power I guess to protect it and would get very hot. Even on low temps. Well I went back and got a evic w crown tank and it's amazing, no bad after taste, correct ohm readings, smooth cool vapor... Sorry for the long add rant but now on to my question, the topbox mini was sold to me as a top of the line starter kit, did it suck for anyone else who actually knows better??? I can't imagine going back even if I did spend way to much money for the kit. Maybes it's the new coils...

Well, I got 02 Kangers products. A Subox Nano 50w max no TC and a Topbox Mini 75w max with TC.

Had no problems with both. Why I did upgrade from Subox Nano to Topbox? Just cause of the RBA, occ coils sucks, IMO. I could just pop a toptank in the Subox (well, I did this), but the toptank has 22mm and the subox nano has 18mm, did not look nice!

So far, I only used RBA with the topbox, no problems at all. Tried many coils, single, parallel, twisted, and now um using a parallel loose clapton, which made very happy! 2 strains, inner is 28awg and outer is 33 awg, with ID of 3mm. So far so good!

I had some problems with licking, but I assume is my own fault, was a lacking of cotton!

I agree the Kanger Rba is the best part of the tank. It's what got me into rebuilding. It's also the best one to learn to rebuild on.

I sold my Topbox Mini and bought an iStick Pico that I've been 10x happier with.

That said, the Topbox isn't bad... just decidedly "meh", with a primitive chip. Their tanks are the best products Kanger makes. Learn to use the RBA, and you'll have a good experience with yours.

Both Kanger and Joytech work fine with readymade heads, using them as rta is generally a huge waste of time though they do have a strong fanbase.
Getting a dedicated rta is usually way better option, with clearo with rba-section one generally ends up with something, that works OKish, but isn't good with anything.

That may not be a device issue. I've found ohm readings tend to jump around like that when I have a screw loose. Try tightening and check after. Sometimes screws strip out and have to be replaced.

Good advice. This has happened to me before. Even if you think they are tight sometimes they just aren't.

I love kanger's rba. So easy to build on. I plan on getting a back up pack for my tanks for the future.

I did not know rebuilding could be so easy until I got the Avocado 24 last week, it has a velocity style deck.
I spent days in the past fiddling with rebuilding RTA's and eventually gave up and never looked at it again for around 2 years. "Game changer" may be an overused phrase in vaping, but for me? The new style deck is just that! Sooo easy and works great to boot. Cheers.
