I finally gave up on VB, if it comes it comes but I'm tired of fooling with them. Takes forever to get a response, if I do get a response and it's nothing but a brush off. Ordered one of Ebay that will be here Wednesday.

I also ordered one from FT a few days after placing the VB order and it came in on the 6th. It has some issues though and I'm still debating fixing them or opening a ticket to return it.

my VB order apparently left Sweden on the 7th... ordered a month before that. never again!

I guess it's swedish post to blame and not VB but I don't think I'll be ordering from them again either. I've emailed them asking them to put a trace on their end. We'll see if I get a response or not. Regardless, in another few days I'm going to start asking for a refund and then try to get paypal involved if I don't get one.

ever try focale ecig JD? I ordered a Taifun clone xmas day and it's already in Canada! they have good deals on kayfuns too.

I've gotta give some feedback for FocalEcig.
i ordered one of the kayfuns from them on Dec 12th.
It showed up on Xmas eve. Pretty fast!
I was pretty pumped to have an early xmas present to play with.
Took it out of the box and cleaned it up. At that pointy, I noticed that it was missing the fill screw. Bummed, but I could get one from Ace Hardware no problem.
Upon assembly I managed to break the center pin rendering it completely useless.
I was pretty bummed out, but it was most likely my fault.
So I went to their website and sent an email asking if spare parts were available. Remember, this is xmas eve.
Within a matter of minutes, I received am email from Doris from Focal.
She was extremely helpful.
I sent in a picture of the broken part. She immediately said she was contacting the supplier to see if spare parts could be sent.
Within a period of about 30 minutes, we had several emails back and forth.
Within an hour, I had a tracking number for the replacement parts.
About a week later, they showed up.
I'm extremely happy with FocalEcig and will most definitely do business with them again.

that's good to hear, sounds like they might indeed have their poop together. but like was said before about VB, I think it has more to do with Sweden post than VB themselves. don't know why they don't use sing post... I have good luck with them.

Yea, good call.
Maybe i shouldn't be so quick to pass judgement on VB.
If they offered other shipping options, I's give them another shot.
Speaking of shipping options, I have had the best luck with FT E-Packet china post. They move that stuff through.
I have stuff arriving today that I ordered less than 10 days ago.

I ordered a FT clone 2 weeks after the VB order and, the FT order is listed as out for delivery today....

Is this your PMMA stuff. If they work as well as the metal parts I may have to try them in the future. Bound to be a lot lighter.

I just recently learned of FocalEcig, and I've got them bookmarked.

actually I received the PMMA kits a while ago, they seem to work good. well, the tanks anyway. haven't tried the chimney yet, it screws on nice though.

I got mine a week or so ago (ordered 5 for some reason). The only complaint I have is the air draw is very tight, even with removing the adjustment screw. The tightest of all the clones Ive tried. It will need to be drilled out to keep all of them I ordered.

Ive been warned that drilling from the outside will expose the "brass"?........Im wondering if I should maybe drill the inside hole out first and hope this opens up the airflow enough. Thinking about this logically.... since the exterior air hole is so small, drilling the inside probably wont do the trick.....I guess I just need to do it instead of talking about it.

So far for me, the FT sold 3.1 is the best of the clones Ive bought, especially the quality......others being the Hcigar and Tobecco.

Just keep in mind that the smaller of the two holes will determine the final flow. A little can make a big difference on air flow as well and unless you want to go sub ohm 1.4 mm is probably plenty big enough. I'd take a look at the hole in the center pin and if it's ~1.4mm, I'd just drill the intake hole to 1.4 or 1.5 mm and be done.

And as you noted the center pin likely is not ss, but probably chrome plated brass. Reaming it out would expose the brass and if you had some overflow into the tube that got pulled back into the wick then you'd be vaping it. That wouldn't worry me at all but if it does you, then don't do it. Go with your own comfort level.

Keep us posted on what you have. Who knows, maybe someone can locate a source for ss replacement center screws.
