Hi all
I've just placed an order for the following 4 flavors (all from TFA)

Grape, Rasberry, Dragon Fruit & Watermelon

I'm looking for some ideas on percentages regarding a mix. I was considering a simple 4% for each flavor with a 80/20 VG/PG mix, but quite unsure regarding the strengths of some fruits compared to others.

I've decided to increase the VG levels (after reading dannyv45's blog, very interesting) due to a peppery feeling in my throat after my last batch.
Although I'm yet to do the PG only, VG only, VG/PG/Nic test - I'll be doing this tonight and make a more formal decision.

Anyway, thanks for reading again. I feel like a proper chemist and I'm actually loving this at the moment - Appreciate all of your help and assistance.

God Save the vape!

I make 3 ml samples of single flavors to find the sweet spot for each for me.
I use a 50pg/50vg base - here are my %s for the flavors - my base is premade assuming 18% flavor to end up at 50/50 so my final vg/pg/nic varies slightly depending on the % of flavor.
Dragon Fruit 15%
Grape - you did not mention which TFA Grape you ordered - Grape juice or Grape Candy - both 15% for me
Raspberry 18%
Watermelon - I'm not a watermelon person

I have also saved another chart which I cannot remember where I found it that has recommended TFA %s of
Dragon Fruit 5-12%
Grape Juice 8-12%
Raspberry 5-10%
Watermelon 15%

So you may want to make multiple samples of each flavor at different %s to see what tickles your taste and get a feel for what % range works for TFA for you.

Mixing single flavors let's you know 2 things: what is your preferred single flavor % and importantly - do you like the flavor.
I did not care for either of TFAs grape flavors so did not try mixing them with other flavors although that might have worked out fine - they were not horrid.

Determining the % of multiple flavors in a mix starts becoming a bit more challenging and artsy.

Now you are entering the realm of how do the flavors play off against each other.
Are you trying to duplicate a recipe using those 4 flavors or just want to try mixing those 4 flavors together?
You can then chuck them all together and then play with the final %s of each flavor to get them to a blend which you like - which may or may not happen.

My next step after finding the % I like for each flavor was to try mixing 2 flavors together to see how they complement each other.

So I like dragon fruit at 15% and the raspberry at 18%. I might mix .5ml of the DF and .5ml of the RASP mixed at my preferred single % - depending on how much of the single mix I have left. That would be the same as mixing a new batch at DF 7.5% and RASP at 9% for a total flavor % of 16.5..
Oh, but I find that I really want more DF flavor than RASP.
I might then try mixing .7ml of DF with .3ml of RASP already mixed at my preferred single %. That would be the same as mixing a new batch at DF at 10.5% and RASP at 5.5 for a total flavor % of 16.5%. Although at this point I would most likely be mixing a new batch at the desired flavor %s.
Ah, perfect.
I now know how the flavors complement each other to my taste.
And so on.

Starting simply builds up your knowledge of how to handle flavors to your taste. And as I think everyone concurs - each person's taste if different.

If you have not yet read many of Danny's and Hoosiers and Boletus' blogs here is a link to there links. Lots of great info.
