I have a few questions regarding this brand e-cig. I assume it was quite expensive for the quality, but hey, got it on discount through a friend who works at a cig store... I have searched for the model number and found only one post on this forum regarding this particular model number. Anyway, the e-cig is a battery and an atomizer cartridge. I charged the e-cig all day yesterday, and thought it was weird that the LED on the included USB charger kept flickering from red to green, to red, etc. I didn't pay it any attention as the green tip on the battery stayed a constant green, which meant charging.
I woke up this morning to both the charger and the tip of the battery glowing a steady green. After unplugging the unit from the wall, I unscrewed the unit from the charger, and screwed in the atomizer. I was able to use it for about 30 minutes, it was very pleasant.
I picked it up after eating breakfast, went to take a hit, and instead of the normal green light at the tip mimicking the real fire, I saw three blinks, then nothing...no smoke, nothing. I try again, same thing. I quickly flip through the very thin instruction manual and the troubleshooter says to discard atomizer, allow battery to charge for 10 seconds(to reset temporary short circuit), then use a new atomizer. That didn't work(more on this in a sec), still three blinks.
I take the atomizer off and carefully take a drag without the atomizer.. it works fine. just as it is supposed to. I take the brand new atomizer I opened, and began threading it and trying it. Up until the center pieces of the atomizer and the battery contact, the battery works fine. Light drag produces dim green glow, regular drag produces steady green, everything normal. As soon as contact is made though, three blinks.
I screwed the battery into the charger again. When I plugged the charger into the wall, the battery blinked 3 times, then went dead. Charger had a constant green light. The charger did this when I plugged it in the first time, but I assumed it was because of the short circuit protection... Either way, I obviously (A. didn't reset the short circuit protection correctly) or (B. got a defective e-cig)
I hope for A, as I am almost an hour from the store which I bought my product, and will be quite busy for a few days
Thanks!
