I am SO PROUD of you!

I knew there was a reason I liked you so much!

Thanks T! I've never had anyone tell me that they were proud of me for stealing. :) Brittany truly needed to be stolen though. Forgot to mention that when we cut her loose, it was during a record breaking cold front. It really p*sses me off when thinking about her condition when we stole her. Just like all animals, she didn't deserve such inhumane treatment.

I agree vaporgalinfla. I think what you did for that fine animal is just fantastic, aside from the fact that you put your own well being at risk doing it.

Good on you, as they say in New Zealand!

Another hurrah for Vaporgalinfla!

So you've been to the land of crisp and marmite sandwiches too, TexasT? Sweet as.

Gosh. I'm going to have to sit down and send you a note about all the places I've lived and worked. I've only been back in the US since 2005 when I retired. Then I went back and then retired again and did it one more time and retired for real the third time.

I've been real fortunate and have done things most people just lay on their couch with a beer and dream about.

I HAVE seen people saying they dislike or complaining about service of a company and then people jump in and seem to direct anger on to that person....almost like 'how dare you say something bad about my favorite company!'

I too have noticed this and also been on the receiving end of it..when I had a very unpleasant experiance with vaporbomb...i was rather shocked at how people came at me...trying to make me look like a villian because they didnt have the same experiance..shrugs..and I notice it anytime a vendor is mentioned poorly

Honestly, when we did it, we never thought about the risk we were taking. We were just angry about the way she was living. She looked so sad. :( I suppose the owners could have called the police. But if the police came and saw her condition, we probably would have demanded that they contact Animal Control. She was so pathetic looking when we found her. This weekend, I'll find a picture of her (after she was healthy) and post it. She was a beautiful girl.

Vagablonde - Yeah, that really depresses me to see. And any vendor who's reasonably well known has their fanbois and their haters. I just had someone say congrats to me the other day, and apologize for not liking every FSUSA flavor. I don't like every single one either! There's hundreds of them! I don't think anyone does, or could. We all have different taste buds.

But what struck me about it, is that she didn't feel like she could be supportive, and at the same time not love every single flavor they've ever put out. And that's a reflection of the fanboi/hater thing that goes on with suppliers. It's unfortunate.

Heh, I know what you mean. I was living abroad for a few years, and returned to the States in March of this year. After having done it, I recognize it doesn't suit everyone. Some of the people who dream of it aren't suited to it. But man does it open your eyes.

A little of the hornet's nest you've seen stirred up is the same sort of exaggerated brand loyalty you'll see at truck stops, where good ol' boys separate into armed camps, defending their Peterbilts or Fords from insulting GMCs or Chevys. The surface you see is smooth enough--good natured boys being boys--but you don't have to look hard to see it runs deeper than that, that these are foot soldiers defending soft pieces of themselves.

More to the point here, however, is that although the Ford owners don't have a connection with, nor an opportunity to speak with Henry Ford, FSUSA customers have actual, legitimate friendships with a guy they call David by name--just as Buzz owners do with Mike, and Xhaler users do with Drew, and Phidias vapers do with Fono.

Outside of the slick, commercialized, Free Trial! ilk, vaping is a cottage industry like no other, and the suppliers--in the internet age--are your friends & neighbors. When your friend is insulted, you get out of your chair over it.

I've been coming to ECF since last June and have seen many people who had complaints that they felt they needed to share for some reason or other. And many of these were well written, identified their problem and complaint, what they did about it that didn't get the desired results and went on about their business. These get read and are given consideration.

Others come to ECF clearly filled with hate, venomous words and language, mean attitude and usually don't even make their complaint clear or state why they have the need to share the information. They almost never ask for advice.

But if you dig a little bit some things usually come to light. They have seldom contacted the vendor about the problem, They don't know what they are doing and haven't taken the time to read and learn about the product they have a problem with and they are not asking for help or advice from the ECF community.

If you go to the New Member Forum there's a Thread there right now about a guy who bought a product and describes his experience with the words disappointed, bummed and pathetic. But ... he asked for advice. He got the help he was looking for and one of his last statements is "Now that I've broken it in a bit and gotten used to it, I gotta say this thing is pretty awesome." Turns out he just didn't know what he was doing. Oh, and he got a bad battery and hadn't even contacted the vendor about it. Just said he had spent $85.00 and all he got was garbage.

Okay, that's why a lot of us are here. To help new people. But let me ask this. If I was mad at FSUSA and came to this Forum and posted mean, hateful messages ... what should I expect from a Forum clearly full of people who are very happy with FSUSA? And second, why post that kind of message anywhere on ECF? If a person took the time and trouble to read the ECF "Announcements and Rules" they would learn that ECF isn't here for that kind of purpose.

And the bottom line is, really, what can anyone on the FSUSA Forum or any Forum on ECF do about an individuals problem anyhow? Answer - nothing. They need to be dealing with the vendor. If I have an unsatisfactory experience with a supplier and place hateful Threads or Posts about it on ECF, you know who is going to care about my problem? Nobody.

You're right about the vendors supporters. They can get carried away and they shouldn't. But from what I've observed this usually happens on the mean types of Posts or Threads, not where someone is genuinely asking for help. On the other hand, posting negative things about a vendor on the vendors Forum, who can you expect to care? If they have had nothing but good experiences with the vendor do you think they would stop because of a mean, hateful Post. Not likely.

I'm honestly sorry about the experience you had with VaporBomb. I dealt with them before I found out about FSUSA and never had a problem with them. I'm sorry you were attacked by their supporters, but really, you should have just dealt with the vendor.

I also believe you are a nice, decent person. I've read other posts of yours and they were always friendly and interesting. So I've written all this as a friend and I haven't come down on you. But we need to work together to make ECF what it was intended to be. A place to help people new to vaping and to get them away from cigarettes. That's a big enough job for all of us.

Man I've seen so much hate around lately I swear I thought my dang head was gonna blow up. Davids gonna do some testing...I'm interested in the results...Can't really see why anyone would sling crap at him for that...but they are...Mind boggling...Personally I've got better things to worry about...Thanks to all at FSUSA!!!

Mistress Nomad...Congratulations!!! A fine choice IMO...

I'm still steeping most all my FSUSA juices..Salem hooked me up with some samples too and I can't thank her enough...What I've tried I liked just fine...2X flavors and things like that I'll work on..I was a supporter of my past supplier..He just admitted he had changed the recipe on a juice that had come under fire..At first he denied changing anything..Let me tell you I knew something was different. Different color and taste...Bottom line a close friend was attacked by the fanboys and I opened my big mouth..ECF found no fault with my actions but I was banned from the sub-forum by the supplier. Hey I'm no complainer but I do stick with the truth..and I'll take offense if my friends get attacked...

Vaporgalinfla...What you did was what I would have done...I'm a long time supporter of the ADBA..the home to the American Pitt Bull Terrier... I have a Che wa wa too...Try spelling that!! That little Mexican is 10X as nasty as any Pitt I've seen....He's my partner...there's no doubt..

TEXAS T....I saw you a givin em hell earlier....I saw you had the situation well under control and I'm still trying to keep my big mouth shut so I did....Now we talked tractors and hell I got to ride the combine a few laps today...that didn't last long though...{someone has job security issues}that dang combine has a NICE stereo too!! Now I saw the post you made on your Outlaws.. What you riding T...? Over here there's an 07,,,660 Grizzly,,,28 Zillas on 108 black ITPs,,,enuff stuff on the engine to make her a little dangerous....Now I ride off to a nice spot,,,then I sit and vape a spell....Life of Luxury I tell ya!!!!!!!

El Dee, I have two of the things. Those are my "horses" around my little piece of heaven. The older one is a 2003 Yamaha Kodiak, Warn Winch, automatic 4 wheel drive and is a real workhorse. My other one is a 2007 Honda, manual shift, 4wd, that I've added a snorkle and a bunch of other things to. Both are on Outlaw's.

Both 4 wheelers get a lot of heavy duty use. Everything from pulling trailers to moving downed trees. And like you said, just getting out to that quiet place and sitting and vaping! Life is good!

I'm not a truck stop kinda guy either but now you got my interest up, going to have to stop in at one :)
We picked our store location because of many factors, but one is it is right of the largest freeway in the U.S. and we have room for semi's to park and sit a spell and check out the vapelounge.
So yeah, i guess i better check out a truck stop, don't want to advertise on teh billboards that we back the peterbuilt folks or whatever. might start a riot of semis jockying in the parking lot.
and truthfully, there are alot of well thought out posts in this thread and I think it goes beyond just about our little company. The community as a whole needs to come together for the benefit of everyone. I have been on the internet since before al gore created it, lol. There are some pretty mean spirited people out there who make posts in the anonimity of their dark room somewhere that they would never say to a person's face.
We have a toll free number. We welcome both criticisims and kudos on that phone line. Pamela and I both try hard day and night to help folks with whatever their needs are. It is very rare we can't fix a problem.
and TT? for a long time there i could have swore you never made it past 7th grade out there on the farm. i stand corrected sir :)

Hey T,

If I sneak over while the Mrs T is at work, can I ride on them tractors?:2cool:

Uuuhhhhh ab, old son ... those are what we call 4 wheelers.

The tractor is that green thing in my avatar.

I keep forgetting your one of those Chycawgo citified folks.

But yes sir, you can drive anything you want around here. You can even drive a few head of cattle. Do you know where the brakes are on the cattle?

stumbled across this thread while surfing posts....and not a subforum where I normally post but just wanted to comment on a couple things...

I HAVE seen people saying they dislike or complaining about service of a company and then people jump in and seem to direct anger on to that person....almost like 'how dare you say something bad about my favorite company!'

that I'd chalk up to poor communication rather than anything (not really harry's strongest suit)...though piling on and vilifying shouldn't have happened...

those that have been around longer need to sometimes be reminded that what we take as common knowlege isn't really common and a newbie may not know...

and this...

I remember when I came to ECF a year ago there were some vendors who that was the only way you could get some semblance of CS out of them... mails and PMs would go unanswered, phone calls too...and then the threads would be deleted almost as fast as they were written...so it was written again and again till you'd sufficently pestered them enough that they had to deal with you to make the issue go away....

sometimes it was because you didn't want others to fall for it too....

and then it all changed... there came the reviews forum and people realized "gee if I post there then the supplier CAN'T delete my thread"...

that's all fine and good but it spiraled out of control...those threads made their way back into the subforms...
but I see the issues have changed too a lot of those issues were big dramatic issues...now they just seem to be petty or trivial (not to belittle some issues) ...and with them came an almost snarky self ritious mean spirit to a lot of them....
and sometimes it is the customers fault just as much...

but I do want to see the bad reviews as well as the good and how the company handles the bad reviews...there are several that I won't do business with because of the way some major CS thing went down (TV,GG,V4L,GG,PS,TW)...but I agree that an attempt to rectify things with the vendor should be made first and it shouln't be an unreasonable attempt either...

just my :2C:
