I am wanting to run a single or dual micro coil build in one of these tanks and prefer to not use any silica in them.. I have heard that SS rope has very good capillary action with minimal leftover taste when switching juices.. but can you even use SS rope in a kayfun? from the configuration of the deck it looks like just cotton would be better for the kayfun.. what are you setups for your kayfuns and should I go with the ft krakken or ft kayfun? Links are appreciated

Also, how could I get a micro coil setup with just ss rope and cotton around it (between the coil and the rope) ??? Like how would I get the rope in there with the cotton and make it stay... if I wrap it around the cotton with the rope in it I cant crunch the coil together to make it touch and make it a real micro..

My gennys are sitting on the shelf or have been gifted/traded... so that should tell you how I feel about a Kraken. They are kinda cool looking though.

All gennys replaced by Kayfun 3.1s & Lite+s, Kebo Russians & R91%s, sQuapes... and 3 Taifun GTs. Wicking and coiling them are fairly simple things... resistance from 0.4Ω to 1.3Ω, using 26-28 gauge Kanthal A1.
I do have 24 gauge in one... for a warm vape, when I'm in the mood.

Simple cotton wicks, tuned for each application and juice viscosity. Tried ceramic rope and rod, SS mesh too (never tried SS rope)... returned to cotton for all. It's just too cheap, easy and good tasting not to. ;-)

Can't help you with the cotton/SS cable hybrid wick... used ceramic rod mostly and a bit of 400 mesh.
