funny thing happened (coil cut while in atomizer)

well this is somewhat embarassing.

i was actually vaping and all.
and all of a sudden my ipv3li said "Check Atomizer" and iam like wtf?
i didtn see it at first but then after close inspection and touching whether the coil was juiced it was floating.
it appeared it got cut... somehow.

the only thing i remeber NOT doing was not pulsing the coil at all. totally forgot.
could that be the reason?

Sometimes a piece of Wire can have a Weak Spot in it.
Or sometimes it can get Bent while making the Legs.
Or sometimes the vaping Gods are just Bored. And send down a little Mojo to make things Different.

Hard to say.

BTW - It was a Nice Looking Coil before the Snap-in-Halfus thing happened.

How close was the Coil (before it Snapped) to touching something that it Shouldn't have been Touching? Like the Sleeve of an RBA?

hmm. i cant answer that question. this is on an rda but it wasnt touching cause i did vape a few times but it kept cutting off my vape then it said "check atomizer"

i have had that happen twice,, one time i found a micro piece of wire sharing the coil post (i think it make 1 side heat dif than the other side creating a 'surge').. the other time was i didnt have each post tightened down (correctly or evenly)

The reason I asked was it Did snap on the Positive side of the Coil. And your Coil did have a Lot of Wraps on it. So I imagine it
was kinda a Tight Fit inside your RDA.

Maybe the Coil moved Slightly and it made contact with the RDA Sleeve?

It happens to me more times than i can count but it always happens right about the time i'm snugging it up and about to vape , very rare once completely done or while vaping .

i may have tightened it a LOT. and i didnt pulse. anyways i rebuilt the coil. all ok now.
the wotofo troll has a piece of crap orings though and the cover kept coming off way too easily.

Probably was "cracked" when mounting, but "touching itself" enough to have a connection, til it got shook loose.
Dirty pervy coil...

On second thought - it does kinda looked darkened where it broke. So maybe a hot leg turned weak, then broken leg?

That coil looks as if it was never pulsed, poked, reamed and prodded.

So it never burned even.

And the hot leg got the better of it.
