OMG, now that is a great one! I have tried converting 4 ppl now with no luck..that's cool!
Love this...I'm new to this and still figuring out how many vapers are out there in my community....but what a GREAT club idea. I don't wanna hijack this thread so will have revisit this later....
I'm not too comfortable vaping in public....in my 5 days of vapingso far......not sure what to expect, but expecting the worst I guess. If I had seen someone vaping a week ago, I probably would have assumed they were smoking crack. My ignorance.
I do vape in my car, and generally I am careful not to be obvious...plus my tinted windows are a great disguise. I did catch a dude looking at me just after I took a hit yesterday, and he gave me a thumbs up, but I still have no idea what he meant!
Just occurred to me....are there any stickers, bumper stickers, etc. that show support of the vaping community?
Yes, some suppliers give out bumper stickers. Usually when you buy from them, they throw them in with your order. If you are close to Tacoma, I can give you one for Vaporheads.
I was refilling my carts in my car on my break. The lady in the car next to mine started to get in her car to leave and looked my way. She got this look on her face like I was refilling a crack pipe or something and then just hurried to get in her car and leave...
Nah... He was a pretty cool dude, and it was in the interest of keeping the interest of the girls around...not a lot I won't do for that
Plus people at animevegas tend to be easygoing, that includes me.
Here in Colorado, smoking is banned in any building (except hookah bars), but my employer has allowed for me to vape inside, at my desk Happy Days for me. Once in a while, one of the supervisors will come toward my desk, see a cloud of vapor, and make that little split second surprised face..then catch herself, knowing it's not smoke. I have converted two managers there so far, and the owners have made allowance for employees to vape in the stores away from customers....so awsome!

Heheh nice. That's good news AND amusing. It means more people are getting up to speed on our ways.
If i go stealth i dont think people even notice...but if im just walking outside i've had a few people ask me about it...and a few weird looks. But i typically use my silver finish SB so i can see how it might look a little weird.
Haha, I was with my wife at a department store this weekend. She was trying on a dress and I was wandering around outside the dressing room waiting for her to come out. (Have to tell her if her .... looks fat and all that.)
There were a few other ladies shopping at the time. I tried to time my hit when no one was looking but as I turned around there was a lady there staring at me. I held the hit and she stared at me. I held the hit, and she stared at me. I finally let out what little vapor remained. She said something about me being unbelievable and walked away.
I took it as a compliment until a store employee and the lady came back and I was asked to leave.

i walk through walmart and the mall vaping all the time and have had everything from old woman coming up scolding me for smoking in public to mall security telling me to take it outside...but the best i've gotten was one day i was getting ingredients to make homemade wine and couldn't decide on what flavor i wanted and started puffing away, well the manager came walking up to me, pulled out his ecig and started puffing away with me...it was GREAT!!!!
I was on the casino cruise tonight and had one of the employees ask what the heck I was smoking. I had people staring as I was dripping into my carto at a table. Then I had 4 people on the shuttle back to land ask me what I was doing. They were all smokers. I was not brave enough to let them try mine one of them looked way grungy but I told them to go to the mall and try it but I also gave v4l cards out to them and told them if they liked it at the mall do not buy from there they are way better and a lot less expensive at v4l. My mom was watching me and told me I should sell them LOL I said nope I can sell for other people not myself, I don't know why. She is an awesome salesperson , I am not.
I don't got any good "in public" stories but...
I was hanging out with a friend and he saw me vaping my new 510 (LOVE IT) and asked if he could try. I let him hit it and at first he hit it like an analog (cuz that's what he smokes) so I told him that you need a longer slower hit. well he tried it again and damn near coughed up a lung! I thought it was histerical. Later we got in the car with another guy and my friend says "Hey you should try my friends new e-cig" to the guy. He had just lit up his cig but decided to try mine. He take and nice hit and then busts out coughing. He looks at me and says "Holy s***! what the hell, I just lit up a cig and now I don't even know if I want it, I can already feel it!" He did finish his cig but kept saying how he couldn't even feel it anymore
does this happen to any of you? %90 of the people who try my e-cigs end up coughing the first time or 2
edit: BTW I was using my 18mg watermelon at the time, not even my 24mg stuff!

Yah pat...posted something similar about my best friends trial. May have to dig that up to add it to this list. Good to know I wasn't alone in making my friends cough! It's always hilarious to watch a die-hard smoker of like 15 years, who smokes 1-2 packs of reds a day, cough up a lung during the trial.
I met a girl last night at wal-mart, I was out there grabbing some VG to cut down my 36mg coffee flavor. Got to talking to her because she was beyond hot and we were waiting for the registers to start working so we could buy our stuff and go. Turns out she had heard of ecigs from the mall kiosks and thought that she just might like it.
So we go out to my car, she takes a nice hard long draw and starts coughing... goes in for another try, this time I'm guessing much softer, and let out a perfect vapor plume..like she had been doing it for months! She ended up asking me if I wanted to get drinks some time and giving me her number.
Funny thing though....I realized, while wandering the pharmacy section, that glycerin is also used in suppository form and in equate personal lube. ^_^

Well for me, every time a smoker sees the vapor (which is a lot with the 6v V3), I always get the same question, "you got another cigarette?".. But one who was smoking a black and mild (mini cigars with a tip) which i used to smoke, came up to me with curiosity. After explaining what it was and how it helped me quit both analogs and black and milds, he said, "That fake stuff isn't for me.. I need the real strong thing".. So I just had to let him try it.. lol.. He took a 2 second hit and was choking on the TH.. haha.. He said, "damn thats strong! Can i hit it one more time?" I gave him some websites as well as ECF so im sure he might be around in here soon..
I was looking at smart phones at Best Buy a couple months ago and I had my GLV in my hand when a kid who worked there saw me and started to approach. I couldn't remember if I had hit my PV in the store or not because I sometimes do it absent mindedly. So, this kid just walks up and says "Is that a mod?" I said "yeah, It's a 5 volt GLV ecig mod" and he pulls a Vapornine Nebula (I think) and asks me if I knew what model it was. I told him it was an 808. That was the fastest service I ever got at a Best Buy. I bought an android phone and the kid set it up flawlessly.
I got 2.
#1. I was at a party at my friends house and most of them smoke cigarettes, especially when they're drinking. So naturally, they love when I bring my pvs over. I ended up passing out 4 or 5 of my 510s and 901s. Totally didn't realize it until the end of the night but EVERYONE that had one chain vaped all night hahahah. When I left in the morning ALL my batteries were dead and the carts were sucked completely dry! I'm slowly turning them to vapor fiends!
#2. I was on my way to work puffing away on my xhaler when lo and behold johnny law comes up in my rear view, lights flashing and all that. So I pulled over. He came up, told me to step out of the car and I did. Then he said "ok, wheres the pot." I started laughing a little and explained what my xhaler was, how it works and even offered for him to try one of my 901s. Unlike vapos cop friend, he declined with somewhat of a disgusted face then sent me on my way.
