Further research on e cigs in Korea

Nobody knows how safe e-cigarettes are, but from all the reading I've done and from personal experience, I would rate them 90% to 99% safer than analogs. Most of the unhealthy components found to date in e-cigarettes remain at a 1 to 2% level of regular cigarettes. Even if they prove to be only 50% safer, that is HUGE. Just keeping it real

Until my body or my Doctor tells me otherwise, I'll be over here vaping instead of dooming myself with analogs. I wish the people making millions in the industry would take action and form their OWN "FDA" without the corruption and payoffs. I know each company has their own Quality control systems in place but nothing is as trust worthy as a neutral entity.

Imagine the amount of ammunition that would be taken away from these less than honest organizations if the industry policed itself via an unbiased entity using random sample testing from all vendors, rigorous quality control checks, and product recalls based on findings. They could do stress tests on sealed batteries and other equipment, effects of certain ingredients on the human body over long term exposure (I'm sure nobody would mind being a guinea pig to a neutral organization's scientists/doctors), among a million other studies. I know we have organizations that help protect our rights and also get the truth out but we don't have anything like this that I'm aware of.

+1 If that Entity Arises I will definitely participate in a study on the effects. As much as I Truly believe I have made a safer and healthier choice, I cannot Prove it other than the effects that I have personally had documented in my Medical record of the improvements to my personal health. Everyone's bodies and systems react differently to different things, so what has been great for me may not be for everyone. I do not however trust any Government funded agency to tell me the truth when it comes to health care of any kind because it is just too profitable an industry to get a straight and unbiased test done.

Confirmed the earlier post that acetaldehyde in e-cigs occurs at a rate of 1% of regular cigarettes. (From international programme on chemical safety, Environmental Health Criteria 167, Acetaldehyde) Acetaldehyde (EHC 167, 1995)

I welcome any research and it would be nice to definitively know exactly what is going on. However, I will not hide from you that I simply question their motives. Time and time again we have seen articles that are poorly written and completely erroneous. Other state agencies have studied e-cigarettes. How is it they could have missed all of these substances?

I am certain there are many liquid suppliers around the world that don't sell the purest liquids. As it stands though, it is my belief that these findings are headline related. Time will tell.

I have to be honest, most of the prefilled carts I've gotten with kits are pretty gag worthy. I won't vape them. It's unfortunate that that's probably what they're using for the testing. I'm not saying all chinese juice is bad but the carts sure are.

I agree, the pre filled carts that came with my ego type kit was nasty and tasted like plastic. Now i vape organic juice and its 100 times better and has a natural taste to it.

I remember they actually did say 'cartridges' in the korean news for the test samples.
