I didn't think of using the locking nut to keep on using the GG after that spring melts. What I usually do is take it out and stretch it back in shape. Unless it has not actually melted together that is. Normally it just squishes down a bit.

I like the new fuse design imeo. Looks a lot better than the first design. Can we order extra springs along with this fuse option? I think I would want to get about 5 or 10 of them to keep on hand. I use CR2s mostly and this would be a great safety feature I am interested in.

What are the specifications of the fuse spring? Can I just pick them up at any hardware store? Like, if I walked in the store, what specific spring would I be looking for?

This is one added benefit of the GGTS. No need for a spring, really, in order for the batteries to make good contact with the top battery connection on the top cap. Just gently screw the telescope in a bit until contact is made. This is something the old GGT cannot do and why a thin spring fuse is not workable on the old GGT.

Brilliant!

I really appreciate what Imeo does more every day. Some mods builders build a mod and just sit back and smile at the their creation and collect the money. Not really innovating and thinking of ways to make what they already have, even that much better. These mod builders come up with a new design and forget the old, costing the customer a lot more money for what could have been better thinking in the first place. Does Imeo have to create a fuse spring.....No, he doesn't. The features of the GGTS already have collapsible springs in the event of a short. Imeo just creates a way to make the collapsible spring better and more user serviceable and even safer by using an even thinner spring. Genius, shear genius.

Very nice design. You are very creative. Is there any chance you will make a fuse like this that will be available for those of us that have recently purchased a slim?

slim has a diferent desing my good friend so this kind of fuse dont fit there. I made this one because I had sometime to think and to produce it but the production for other GG fuses will take me more than a month to make them. Of course I want to do it but I am really stuck this time. So much work!!!!!

I will try to make this later because all GGs have to have this:)

Nice feature imeo, i don't think people realise how many shorts are caused by bad atties,

i once bought 10 HV 501's (i won't mention the supplier on this subforum) and 7 out of 10

caused an immediate short, the more safety features the better :thumb:

Yes womble, shorts are more often than we think:)

Imeo,
Excellent. I think safety is important and I'm glad your making efforts to make the GG even safer. I also like safety features that aren't a headache to have...and this seems pretty straight forward...So when its ready to be implemented and sold, how will it work as far as do we need a whole new end cap?
