I searched and couldn't really find a dedicated thread for this. So.....

I got some 24ga g plat wire earlier this week to try out, the red kind it's the cheaper of the two. This stuff is amazing, if you can afford the little extra cost it's well worth it.

Pros that I noticed right off the bat:
-super malleable
-heats up a bit quicker than kanthal
-cools down way faster
-flavor is better ( flavor chasers will understand this) still crisp flavor but also that dense flavor known as the The Flavor Explosion is still there
-you can wrap a bad coil and easily undo and redo easily
-atty and mod cooler during chain vape sessions and overall in general

Cons so far:
-price
-it's making me hate kanthal for the reasons listed above

I love this stuff. Though the price is higher than kanthal, I'm finding I use less of this for building. Because it's so easy to work with you literally don't need to cut any extra for leverage or slack. I actually don't even cut it from the roll until I've wrapped the coil because it's not springy at all.

I will def be ordering some 20ft rolls of 28-26-24 ga. This stuff is a win-win if you can foot the bill. If anything I'd suggest everyone try the 6-7$ for 6ft we've all wasted more than that on some horrible juices somewhere in the vaping journey.

Anyway sorry for the rant. Would like to hear others opinions or tips and tricks with stuff.

The price is up there compared to kanthal. But for 7$ shipped to give it a try that seems fair to me.

I'd you don't like it I'm sure you could sale or trade another vaper for something or just give it as a gift etc. either way 7$ isn't much for most people.
I'd even say if you got a friend or 2 who vapes you could split the bill and if you hate it it only cost a couple of bucks.

All the serious cloud chasers in my area use G-Plat, Hotwires, or Royal Wire. I can imagine why you wouldn't want to go back. I'm the same way with cotton. After using Japanese cotton, I don't want to go back to "regular" cotton balls. I've been spoiled.

Surprised I never heard about Japanese cotton. I'll have to look into it now, thanks.:vapor:
