I wonder if it would be possible to make a genesis battery mod that was maybe a little wider than the rough stack and took 18 650's, and tank rand parallel to the battery right next to it . or possibly have a juice jacket like a water jacket in an engine around the battery. this would make for a very compact genesis all in 1 mod ........

I have referenced the site. I just seems to me that so many tips and tricks have already been posted. One thing I read a few pages back was about a specific O ring we should all purchase. I figure there is even more that I have missed

Using the search thread tool, it's pretty easy to find what you're looking for. In the case of the o-ring tips:

I do not, not with out searching all over again :(

BTW I think I have a fix for the tank staying, I tested different o-rings and going down one size seems to hold the tank more securly and stops the creep. I used a 7/16OD x 5/16ID oring from lowes, can't remember the number.
Dan

Added:
this one from Lowes:
Danco 5/16" x 7/16" x 1/16" Rubber Faucet O-Ring
Item #: 198966 | Model #: 96723

I don't know if Lowes uses a different numbering system, or if my local hardware is the different one, but the Danco stock number at my local ACE Hardware for the o-ring with those measurements is: 35723

It is also called a #6 o-ring

Looks to me, then, that Danco's internal number is 723 and the prefix 65 is used for those sold to Lowes while the prefix 35 is used for those sold to ACE affiliates.

Maybe.

Update:
Just got word that the parts are in the mail!!!!
They will be here soon.
I really hope all is fixed and I can start sending these out!!!!
Dan

WOOHOO! At long last this show is about to hit the road. Now I can start getting excited, barring any further problems with the parts.

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered somewhere in this thread but I'm building a mod specifically for this and could really use some dimension clarification...I pulled this off Dan site...

Are these the finished heights of the units? (minus the drip tip)...and if so, is that measured from the bottom tip of the connector or the bottom of the base?

Dan will give you the e-machine shop files if you ask. I should have added them to the gtank site already but I haven't. With the pieces on their way back to Dan, I guess I need to move the site back to the top of my TO-DO list...

Without the drip tip and measured with the connector.

Been wondering, do the SS tanks slide because the taper goes too far up into the tube? I think someone mentioned just shortening it. I like the idea my self.

Dan, do you think that's s viable solution to the "tank creep" issue?

BTW, God willing you'll soon be finishing up this co-op venture. I'd imagine you're already thinking of which beer / steak combo to reward yourself with for a job well done. Congrats the end is near my friend. Thanks so much!
