Didn't see a better place to put this, but I got bored a couple weeks ago, and took the vibrator motor out of a dead cell phone, and soldered it up to the connector from a dead carto, then slide a clearomizer tube over it, and put the end plug back in, with some tape to hold the motor in the tube, and hot glue to stabilize all the wires. Basically, you put it on your battery, and wait for a chance to offer it to someone, they put it in their mouth, hit the button, and promptly freak out when the unit starts vibrating...

OK< there was a guy asking about something that a blind friend of his could use since he can't see the light... I wonder if you could help him, or if this was a one time mod. I will have to look for the original post.

Actually, this was inspired by one just like it I saw at a get together a couple weekends ago. But, you could add a vibrator motor in place of an LED in a box mod to let someone know it was activated, the only issue might be battery drain, as the resistance of the vibrator motor is on the order of 11 ohms.

Here is the thread about the blind friend. Not sure if you can help out, but I thought it was worth the try to connect you two. Maybe it would work on a passthrough?

Well, the gag carto doesn't produce any vapor, it just vibrates...but I could see it being integrated into a box mod or passthrough in place of an LED.

I had toyed with the idea of adding a motor to a mod to see if it would help wicking to make some crazy vapor.

Not to mention that the LED could be working (indicating that the battery is working), but your atty or carto might be dead, etc.

I'm glad you're looking for assistance for your friend. I know that there was a thread about "what modifications would you like to see" posted someplace. I think a vibrate or speaker feature would be nice, and would help people with vision impairments.
