Welcome @HamishT

Around the world, people are following the ups and downs (mostly downs) of Vaping in Australia.

I signed up to Aussie Vapers forum to follow the price-gouging story a few years ago when certain (cough, cough) international vaping franchises were distancing themselves from ripping off Australians with the biggest pile of steaming dung excuses we have ever been subjected to by these evil people.

It's kind of sad that people actually buy from these companies when they knew exactly what they were doing. I can't mention them... (no, no, that leads to threats from lawyers) but just be aware of the situation if you are not already.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
djsvapour - not exactly sure what companies you mean mate, I have been buying my gear locally at a B&M and online from fasttech so far. I only have a Smok Alien so far, but looking into other gear to get. :)

@HamishT - that is fantastic news. I was talking about the nasty brand companies that sell over the internet and fake a proportion of the reviews, pay to be top of the searches, make out some junk from 2012 is 'the best e-cig' and then charge $119 for a $29 e-cig.
B&M and Fasttech sounds perfect. Nice job. :)

Welcome to ecf. So glad you went the route of local and FT purchases. Sadly, there are many new vapers who when they finally found us are so disappointed they are ready to throw in the towel. You were one of the lucky and smart new vapers how beat the odds.

Tell us what tanks or rda's are you using? And what else, if anything, are you looking for? Do you build your own coils? Do you make your own ejuice?

The Alien 220 mods are great, I have a couple and love them. Just now trying out the AL85(the smaller version of the 220). A real contender with the Pico 75w.

:)

Hi Hamish, I am a brand new member and have just made a post looking for info re vaping in Australia. It is still being moderated but here is the jist of it. Any advice for me? Many thanks in advance. (I am freaking out here :) ) :
"I have been living in the Uk for the last 18 months, and I am returning home to Australia in a couple of weeks.I am 55 and have been a chronic diehard smoker since my 20s. Tried everything to quit to no avail. UNTIL I gave the vaping thing a shot and wow!! I am no longer a smoker. I am sooo proud of myself and feel 100% better etc .I decided to have a look at vaping suppliers in NSW for when I get back, only to discover that it's illegal????!!!!!So I have to go back to poisoning myself with smokes???
I have since researched loads but cant seem to get a straightforward answer as to whether I can continue to vape legally..looks like it's a black market setup ?Can anyone clarify for me? Thanks.
PS I will be transiting in Dubai, and apparently I will be fined and my vape kit confiscated if I choose to carry it with me. (Cant put it in my checked in luggage due to the lithium battery)
What a load of bollocks it all is."
