Hey everyone! I'm new to vaping, I'm trying as an alternative to smoking and so far so good! Certainly tastes better.
The question I have is this: The Geek vape Boost Pro came with 0.2 ohms installed which says 50-60 watts on it. If you vape under that would it damage the coil or something? Or is it best to vape within those parameters? It also came with a 0.4 ohms with different parameters.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Welcome to ECF
It most definitely doesn't hurt the coil to vape at a lower wattage than the recommended wattage. Vape at whatever wattage you feel comfortable with.
The 0.4 ohm coil will be better suited vaped at a lower wattage so that one may suit you.

Thanks for your response! I'm glad I found this forum. I've found it very helpful. The reason I asked is because when I bought it the salesperson set it up and suggested staying around 30, I'm guessing for battery life. But I saw a video with the same vape and they were at like 60 or 70 watts. I really like both low and high tbh. Im at 40 now and it hits well. Really liking the Geek Vape Boost. Good investment.
Do yourself a favor & get the RDTA Pod & the 510 adapter while they're available. Even if you don't use either at first, you'll probably be glad to have them, sooner or later.
I'm not entirely sure what that is. Is the RDTA the larger tanks I see all the time with different coils? I imagine the 510 adapter is what allows you to connect it. Lol. I'm completely new. Where could I get that at? Possibly the shop where I got the vape?

RDTA stands for Re-buildable Dripping Tank Atomizer but the name isn't really important. For your Boost Pro, the RDTA Pod is a pod for which you install a coiled wire & cotton wick rather than a stock 'P' coil. By having one on hand, you'll be able to continue using your Boost even if 'P' coils are discontinued. In the meantime, you can continue to use the stock coils or you can use the RDTA Pod. Using stock coils is more expensive but also more simple & convenient.

The 510 adapter will let you connect most vape tanks to your Boost. '510' is a standard used for tanks & vape mods that use tanks. A pod setup like your Boost doesn't use the 510 standard but the adapter lets it do so. Having the adapter will offer you more options in the future and, again, let you keep using your Boost even if it's coils are no longer available.

You maybe able to get both the RDTA Pod & the 510 adapter from your shop. If not, online retailers have them. Here are links to them at one retailer. Others will have them, too. Wherever you might buy, these links will show you what i'm talking about...

It's possible you may never need or want things like this and that's fine -- They do make things a little more complex. i suggested them because vape tech, like other tech, can advance quickly & leave functioning equipment unusable. As well, regulations around vaping can make things difficult. Having the RDTA Pod & the adapter are kind of like insurance.
