I received the GeekVape aegis legend kit in stealth black version and it looks very good. As always, in the GeekVape box you can find a lot of spare parts, which is always a big plus. Let's start from the top of the device.
---------Aero mesh sub ohm tank----------
Aero mesh sub ohm tank comes with the bubble glass tank, and i mentioned before that I am a huge fan of bubble tanks, I really like to use bubble glass on my tanks, in my opinion tank looks better with it and it can hold more e liquid. Aero tank with bubble glass can hold 5ml of e liqud. In the box there is spare glass tank, which is regular glass tank and it can hold 4ml of e liquid.
This tank is made of stainless steel and color of the tank is black.
Aero mesh tank dimensions:
- Diameter 25mm
- Height 38mm without drip tip and 45mm with drip tip
Aero mesh tank colors:
On the top of the tank there is 810 drip tip, in the top cap you can see one o ring that holds the drip tip in the place very good, so you can use your own 810 drip tips without o rings on it. Outer diameter of the drip tip is 16.5mm and inner diameter is 8mm. It is comfortable to use this drip tip. As I mentioned in the GeekVape box you can expect a lot of things, so they provide you with 510 drip tip adapter as well.
This is top fill tank, to fiil the tank you need to turn the top cap just half a turn and you will see two holes for e liquid, holes are big so you don't have to worry that your bottle may not fit in it, bacause it will. Filling this tank is very easy and simple. On the top cap you can see nice details that helps even more with opening.
Under the top cap there is chimney and on the chemney you can see one o ring and threads for the coil.
In the box you will receive two coils, mesh coil (ka1) is pre installed, and resistance of the coil is 0.2ohm and it is rated between 30-90 watts and spare coil is quad coil (ni80) and the coil resistance is 0.15ohm and it is rated between 60-80 watts. I like the fact that on both coils you can see information about which wire is used. Big plus is that you can use smok baby coils here, tank is compatible with them. Threads on the base section looks very clean and nice.
I like to always mention that before you fill your tank, you need first to prime your coil with e liquid, this way you will prevent any dry hits, after you prime it, just fill the tank and you are ready to vape.
On the base you can see airflow ring and here on the ring you can see engraved "AERO". Airflow is adjustable and this tank has two airflow holes, what you adjust on the one side it will be the same on the other side. Airflow ring works very well, it is easy to adjust but there is no any chance that ring can be moved accidentally. Airflow ring has a stopper. There is a lot of air when airflow ring is fully opened, but of course you can still vape restrictively by reducing airflow.
On the bottom of the aero tank you can see "Designed by GeekVape" and "Aero mesh version", Tank has protruding gold plated 510 pin and you can use this tank on your mech mods.
There is no any leaking here, and coils works very good, i had no dry hits with my e liquids, i'm using 70% vg in my liquids and it works perfectly fine.
Flavor is very good, my favorite e juice is perfect on this tank. If you ask me which coil is better, I would say mesh coil, better flavor in my opinion and that coil perform really good. With this tank you can expect really big clouds.
This tank sits very nice on the aegis, I must say.
Now it's time to talk about aegis legend mod, so let's go.
Aegis legend is a dual 18650 battery mod and this device can work from 5w to 200w. Aegis legend is made of six different materials and this mod is very durable. Mod is water resistant, it can be in water for less than 30 minutes and at a depth of up to 1 meter, so basically you can carry this mod wherever you want, on the pool or on the beach, you can even vape in the rain. It is dust proof and shock resistant, if you accidentally drop the mod from less than 1m, mod will not be broken and you will be fine. So, if you are looking for extremely durable mod this is definitely mod for you, build quality is very, good, probably the best.
When you hold in the hand this mod, you can feel the quality, it feels good in the hand and mod is very comfortable. You can press the fire button with your thumb or index finger, fire button is placed on the perfect position. There is no any rattling when you shake the mod.

On the top of the device there is 510 connection with spring loaded pin, threads are perfect and 510 connection looks very good. 510 connection is placed on the centar of the mod and you can use even 30mm tanks without oferhang. Section around the 510 connection is made out of a stainless steel powder metallurgy. On the top of the device also you can see silicon plug to prevent water or dust to come into the usb port. In the package you will receive one more silicone plug in case you destroy this one. So underneath the plug there is usb port. You can use this usb port for charging and for software upgrade.
Software upgrade:
Remove the atomizer and batteries, press and hold the plus button while inserting in the usb to a pc, perform an upgrade on the pc using the GeekVape firmware upgrade software
If you dont have battery charger, don't worry, with this device you can charge your 18650 batteries, aegis legend has balance charging, so this is another plus, but still i would recommend using external charger. Max charge current is 1A. When you connect usb to a power source to charge the batteries, battery icon will begin to animate and stop once fully charged.
On the front side of the device you can see very comfortable "fire" button, screen and "plus" and "minus" buttons. Buttons are made of zinc die casting alloy and trust me buttons are very clicky and they respond really good. If you liked previous aegis button you will like this one as well. For me, i think the fire button is really good, also there is no misfires at all.
Frame on the device is made of die casting aluminium and you can see two screws on the one side and two screws on the another side to keep the frame tight in the place. On the frame you can see engravings on the both sides of the device, on the one side you can see "Aegis" and on the other "Geekvape".
Section around the frame is made of silicon, so in case you drop the device silicon will protect it. On the back side of the device we have leather with red stitching. Leather on the mod is really amazing detail and leather gives to this mod very luxury look, I like it. Under the leather you can feel comfortable pads.
On the bottom of the device we have battery door made of 40hrc carbon steel. On the door you can see battery venting holes, five little holes. Now because this device is waterproof you may wonder how battery door has venting holes, well from the other side of the door there are six seals, that's how the device is protected from water, so in case that you battery vents it will break the seals and it will vent through the holes, very good solution. Inside of the device around the battery door you can see rubber protection, so when you close the battery door it will make a seal, so this way there's no any chance to water come inside. You can see battery orientation on the battery door and you can even see battery orientation inside of the device.
To turn on the device you need to click five times on the fire button, to turn it off, you also need to click five times on the fire button. When it turns on you will see beautiful color screen. On the screen you can see all information that you will need. So for example in power mode, you will see:
- Power
- Watts
- Dual battery indicator
- Coil resistance
- Volts
- Amps
- Puff counter
- Time (will be seen only when you vape)
You can vape on this mod from 5-200 watts. Using plus and minus buttons you can adjust settings you like. You can adjust watts in 0.1 increments and if you hold the button it will accelerate and it will scroll really fast. Interesting thing, when device is set at 200 watts if you press plus button you will go to 5 watts, and if device is set on 5 watts if you press minus button you it will go to 200w, I think that this feature is very usefull.
If you hold plus and minus buttons in the same time it will lock wattage adjustment, so you won't be able to randomly change your settings, but you still will be able to vape, if you hold buttons again you will unlock it. On this device you can also adjust brighness by holding plus or minus button and the fire buton, if you hold minus button and fire button brighness will decrease and if you hold plus button and fire buton you will increase brightess of the screen.
With three clicks on the fire button device will go to the settings and then with plus and minus buttons you can toogle between modes and press and hold fire button for 0.8s or allow 5s of inactivity to select.
So, when you click three times on the fire button, you can choose between:
- Power
- Tc-ni
- Tc-ss
- Tc-ti
- Tc-tcr
- Vpc
- Bypass
If you want to use device in stealth mode, press the fire button and plus and minus buttons together in the same time for two seconds, you can use the same operation to exit stealth mode. In stealth mode you can only vape or turn off the device.
When you are in the settings if you press plus and minus together you can choose from three different colors of the screen:
- Light blue
- Blue
- Red
This is another cool feature that i like on this mod.
If you want to reset you puffs, you can do that from settings, when you click tree times on the fire button, scroll down until you see puff couter highlited then just click plus button and puffs will be reseted. If you acidentaly reseted puffs, you can click minus button and number of puffs will return.

Every time when you attach atomizer on the mod, it will ask you is it new or old coil. Menu system is very simple and it is very easy to adjust your favorite settings, i like to set my own settings in Vpc, and this perform very well here on this mod. I was using on this device my drippers, even my mtl tanks, and i must say this chip is very accurate, also AS chip works very well in temperature control, honestly i enjoy more in vw mode, that's how i like to vape, but still i tried this in tc and this device works just great.
Fire button response extremely fast, there's basically no ramp up time, it's around 0.015s, but in reality it fires instantly. I like the screen too, screen is very bright and easy to read from, also I like that they give you choice to choose between three colors.
After few days of vaping on this device, aegis legend became my favorite mod, i carry it with myself everywhere, and i think the aegis legend just can't disappoint me, it works just great and if we add durability of the mod I think everyone need to have one.
So, if you ask me would i recommend this device, well, totally, because chip inside is very good and you dont have to worry about destroying your mod.
