This is the Noalox you can get at Home Depot.

They are anti-oxidant compounds for electrical connections.Guys have been using Noalox since the Reos mods days,he even included a little baggie of it when you bought a mod from him.I was having arcing issues with my Athena, and it would stop firing,so I put a little noalox on the contact and it fixed the issue. It does need to be reapplied maybe once a week, but a tiny little dap on a toothpick is all you need. You can get Noalox at Home Depot in the electrical section and maybe Loews or small hardware stores.Deoxit gold is better, but does cost more.I know you can get Deoxit gold on Ebay and Amazon, but I haven't been able to find it at any of the big lumber yards or hardware stores. You just put a little dab on the positive contact where it touches the 510 connection.

Many thanks. Just found some on amazon. you rock

Thanks for the info. Aside from price, how is this different than the Deoxit?
I started with Noalox but found the No-Ox-Id prevented arching/pitting better than Noalox.
It's cleaner to use than Noalox. You only need a very small amount, and is supposed to enhance electrical connections.
Many also use Deoxit (not the same as No-Ox-Id) but supposed to be even easier to use, it's more of a liquid that dries.

I'm going to get some deoxit gold one of these days. The reason I have Noalox is when I bought a Reo mini second hand,I needed something right away and noalox was available locally.
That's how I started using it also.
I still use my big bottle on car battery terminals and on outdoor light bulb threads.

Finally got my $28 pre order Athena from 3F today.I really like this little mod,it's smaller than a lot of my 3d printed squonkers, and they are fairly small too,but this has them beat size wise.It seems to perform really well,i get a small bit of arcing, but not too bad,i have some NO-OX ID so i'll put some in there.Overall for a $28 authentic mod,i can't complain at all, great little mod.

I put some Noalox in a plastic syringe and use that to apply a tiny dab on top of my batteries in my Reo Grands. Usually I replace the batteries on my two Grands at the same time, so I put a dab on the positive terminal of one battery and mash it into the positive terminal of the other battery. This leaves a thin film on both, and easily lasts until my next battery change. I inspect the batteries at every change and I don't see any pitting. At the rate I'm using it, my tube from Home Depot should last at least 100 years.

On my P67 mods I use De-Oxit Gold. I transferred the De-Oxit into a needle-tip (metal tip) e-liquid bottle to allow accurate placement, and put just tiny a drop between the contacts after cleaning per Rob's video. No arcing there either.

When using either - (warning, cliche ahead) - a little goes a long way.

That should keep you stocked in electrical conditioner for life...:thumb:
I use a toothpick to sparing apply the no-ox-id.

I had already ordered the deoxit and when I saw how inexpensive the no-ox-id was I went ahead and ordered some. I will certainly follow your lead with the toothpick. Thanks again for all the info and advice. You veteran vapers a treasure trove of info to newbies like me!

any recommendations for replacement bottles? the rigid one is way to stiff IMO and the silicone bottle is so soft that I think a hard stare will cause it to collapse. pardon my ignorance but I'm not sure what to look for as far as specs and what will be compatible.
I'll check to be sure here in a few minutes, but i think the Sjmy bottles will fit. They are silicone, but not stupid soft like most of them, they are the only silicone bottle i can really say i like, they are thicker than the others,so they have a bit more firmness to them.

Mine came but so far, I am unable to get the supplied atty to read on the coil tester, or fire on any other device. However, all my other bottom feeder attys work on the new devive. Any ideas? I like the mod enough to keep it, but would like to try out its atty.

weird, i had no issues with my rda in the athena kit. have you tried swapping out the 510 and making sure everything like the positive and negative post are tight?
