Got my third Griffin today ...yes I like it that much lol ...but this one the juice control spins so easily with little or no effort? Did I do something wrong? Missing oring? My other 2 are great? Thanks?
That's how the only one I own is. Just thought that's how it's supposed to be. Would also like to know if I'm missing something.Got my third Griffin today ...yes I like it that much lol ...but this one the juice control spins so easily with little or no effort? Sounds like maybe you didn't turn off the juice flow control or airflow control when you filled it.Okay, I just got my Griffin yesterday, built a couple coils, wicked them and reassembled. Oh, I didn't take the wick ring off since the youtubes I watched indicated you really didn't want the wicks much below the ring so I just stuffed the cotton into the small holes behind the ring. Put a ml or so in and fired it up and it worked great.
This morning I was going out so I loaded it up with liquid, not full, maybe 2.5ml. I set it aside and got ready to leave. When I picked it up, the liquid had dropped to maybe a ml that I could see, it was flooded and I had liquid all over the outside. I took the RTA off, put on my normal RDA (I stopped using tanks a couple or more years ago) and set it aside.
Right now I'm vaping what was left in the tank before I take it apart and try to figure out what's amiss. I tried to search leaking but found nothing that addressed what might be wrong. The only thing I believe is it has to be operator error, but anything that might be able to head me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
As I said, I haven't been using tanks for awhile so I'm not up on all the lingo.I might see the problem once I open it up again, but I thought I'd check here first.
Im curious how grub screws could break your wire. The inside of the post flat so there is nearly no way to pinch it off enough to breakI've had this for 2 weeks now and I love it. but.... First problem was with the grub screws. They actually broke a pre-made set of clapton's that my vape shop installed when I bought it. No real biggie I made a dual parallel build for it, but here is where the big problem I ran into comes into play. I can't get the juice to flow like it used to. The only way I can get air bubbles to come out of the juice flow holes is to take the top cap off. Ive tried re-wicking it twice (once to top of the ring like every reviewer says and once to the bottom of the juice channel, never stuffing it) but I still have the problem. Did I reassemble it wrong?
Try tightening the screw on the bottom? That's how the only one I own is. Just thought that's how it's supposed to be. Would also like to know if I'm missing something.

Had the same problem with mine today. No matter how I wicked it, it wouldn't keep up. I noticed that the juice channel ring had worked it's way up about a 1/4. It didn't look like that would have a huge impact on the wicking. But it did. Tightened down and it's back to keeping up with my chain vaping. This might not be the culprit to your dilemma. But it's worth a look.I've had this for 2 weeks now and I love it. but.... First problem was with the grub screws. Get that sucker replaced. I hate that has happened. It's a top notch tank. It's about a week away from taking the crown from my Billow v2. I have been a die hard Billow fan and it's looking like they will soon be retired. I just ordered my 3rd Griffin so.......Hey all. I JUST received my griffin tank when i got home just a hour ago. I opened up the package and took a look at it. The first thing i did was spin the airflow ring to see how tight it was and all i heard was crunching sounds. Im guessing small metal fragments are stuck between the a/f ring and the base. I went ahead and further inspected the tank. Unscrewed the base from the tank. All seemed well, i grabed the posts with my index finger and thumb and grabed the base with my other hand and attempted to see if the airflow and juice control section would unscrew so i could get the metal parts out of between there. And one of the posts snapped off. I dunno if it just wasnt tight enough or if i broke something. I dunno this is a bummer...
This just sucks. Now i have to pay for it to be shipped back. Which will take a week. Then wait for them to inspect. Then ship it back which is another week. If they deny my replacement because i "tampered" with it ill never buy from them again.Get that sucker replaced. I hate that has happened. It's a top notch tank. That's what mine looks like - I've had it a month or two!Did Geek Vape change something with the newer tanks? Just got mine today and it doesn't have the "Griffin" logo in cursive on the chimney section. It's just blank but on the other side of the chimney there's a Griffin picture logo. Looks weird like that. Lol
Mine's like that. Got mine just after New Year, I think only the first run had the writing on the chimney.Did Geek Vape change something with the newer tanks? I see! It's unfortunate, it looks quite strange now after seeing all of the reviewer's like that.Mine's like that. Got mine just after New Year, I think only the first run had the writing on the chimney.
