The switch will be arching and will need to be cleaned. Considering how much of a faff this could be, I think I will pass on this mod.
I looked for any arcing when I first got it, I didnt see any. After reading your post I decided to check it out, sure enough, it's got a pretty large arc on it now. I have hack to my h-priv for the day. I'v only used it for a week.

So I started having a problem with mine over the weekend. The button is getting really hot, it started yesterday little by little. When I got to work this morning I had to cut my hit short as it got hot enough for me to have to take my finger off the button.

I googled and couldnt find anybody else complaining about this, guess I'll take it apart tonight and see if I can find the problem.
The only review on this device that I'd seen online was from The vaping Bogan and in the video he was showing that it arcs if you don't press it hard enough so maybe you're just not pressing it hard enough and it's arcing

Wut?
Did he really advise "pressing harder"?

I'm pressing it down pretty hard. I took the batteries out and tinkered a bit and found some issues with the button travel, it seems as if it's kind of jamming up before it makes full contact. Thats most likely the issue. Just gotta get it apart and see whats going on.
Is the lil lock switch moving by any chance? That lil thing would annoy the hell outta me :)

No, I'v had no issues with the lock, it actually works flawlessly.

I couldnt get it taken apart last night, I dont have a small enough torx bit, i'm going to order some today at work and take it apart tonight.

Its got a stiff throw, so if you dont hit it with authority it arcs. Its a mech so it will need a certain amount of up keep. Ive had mine for a while now and cant fault it. In fact ive put my Aventador V3 on the shelf because its that good. 0.1ohm dual fussed claptons, Kennedy 24. Only downside is no adjustable 510 screw, so the airflow is where it is. Would be much happier if it had a 510 screw so i could decide where my air intakes end up.

I just got mine in the mail today and put a .27 build in my ehpro big bear and put it on there. The coils took forever to warm up and by the time I could get a a couple vape off it the button was too hot to press. The button looks tarnished on arrival, I'll post a pic later if anyone wants to know what I mean by that but the hits were so weak and I started poking around. I noticed the left battery was loose in the mod and the only batteries I had that would sit in there well without wobbling around were my HGs that are reserved for my hexohm. My Sony's would wobble in the left battery position (the one that's not spring loaded from the bottom). After getting really really weak hits for awhile and getting more and more of a hot button issue I decided to throw on my twisted rda that had a .13 dual fused n80 build just to see the difference and the button got wayyy to hot within the first second or two of use and I just had to put it down as it was a little frustrating. I will probably take the whole thing apart in the morning to visually check the contact but my first evening with it, first impressions are that it's generally unusable. It's heavy which i like, it's clean, it's button is in a spot I thought I would like but after use I don't. The edges are softer than my snowman and so they don't hurt my hand but the stiff throw and position of the switch make you torque your hand at an odd angle. I loved it on sight, hated it on use. That hot button just kills it

if the button got hot with a .27 build, why did throw a .13 build on there, expecting different results? lol.

let us know how it looks when you've taken it apart and clean it. sounds like either bad QC or dirty, either way it's kinda sad. Geek Vape has been coming out with some nice stuff lately.

Sounds like a manufacturing/QC whoops. I'll switch to 25R batteries next round, but the two pairs of HE4 I've run so far are quite snug. My fire button is clean copper, no tarnish.

Hot button sounds like either a lot of crud in the inner contacts or the button not fully depressed. Anyone chance the on/off switch isn't fully off, so you're just making partial contact? For me I depress the button straight down with my thumb, a decent amount of pressure, no noticable button heating (there shouldn't be with that large contact area, if the contacts are fully engaged).
