The cardboard box is a version dedicated to reviewers, so it is not the definitive one.

Obelisk 200 Vs Obelisk 120:

I had already spoken very positively about the Obelisk 120 FC and its incredible charging speed of its integrated 3.700mAh cell. A new proposal from Geekvape now appears around the curious name "Obelisk". The new Obelisk 200 keeps the form factor and size almost unchanged, but it is a replaceable dual 18650 battery Mod.
Also for this version GeekVape used the "Unibody" CNC manufacturing technique in aluminum alloy. The two kits also differ in the use of a different sub-ohm Tank, the 120FC is equipped with the Zeus Tank with AFC from above while the 200 is supplied as a kit with the Obelisk sub-ohm Tank with air regulation from below. . The two tanks use the same identical Coil's series Z.

Obelisk 200 Mod feeling:
I received the Black version of the Obelisk 200 for this test.
The classic form factor in retro style is of sober extraction, the rounded edges, the weight contained in only 110g (mod), the construction in sturdy aluminum alloy and the compact dimensions, make the Obelisk 200 one of the double battery Box Mods. most interesting currently on the market.

Obelisk 200 Mod Side View:
The glossy finish on the black colored panels is very nice but is a magnet for fingerprints. The inscription "Geek vape" with silver light reflections appears on both sides.
The USB-C charging socket acts as a large safety "vent", and also allows you to charge the Mod in an upright position. However, I always recommend using an external charger when it comes to devices with replaceable cells, this certainly brings advantages in the sense of less circuit stress, better cell charging and greater safety.

Obelisk 200 Mod front/rear view:
The fire and adjustment keys "+" and "-" are well clickable, are well proportioned, seem well made, are protruding and do not produce abnormal noises.
The display is very bright and is adjustable as intensity in the percentage from 1 to 100%. With the maximum brightness selected it is good visualization even in light conditions outside those of the house. On the display it is possible to view all the information useful for vaping, mainly: Current mode, graphic indicator of the charge level of the two cells, set power, lock / unlock, Coil value, Amper, Volt, Puff counter.
The rear part on the sides is very rounded and connected and has two vertical grooves in the center, along the entire surface.

Obelisk 200 top/bottom view:
The top plate appears to be anodized and brushed, is pressed into the "unibody" body and held in place by three gold-colored torx screws.
The 510 thread has the spring loaded and gold plated internal pin for better conductivity. Unfortunately, the 510 thread remains at the level of the plate and having no protrusion, care must be taken when screwing the atomizers so as not to scratch the surface. On the Obelisk 200 we can install atomizers up to 26mm in diameter without any protrusion outside the Mod.

On the bottom of the Obelisk we find the compartment / battery door with a machined central surface to facilitate its extraction. On the flap are indicated; a numeric code, an arrow indicating the opening direction to access the compartment / batteries, the name of the device, the place of production and the name of the manufacturer.

Obelisk 200 Magnetic door:
For complete accessibility to the compartment / batteries, the metal door has been made completely removable by means of two sliding side rails. I like this solution, however care must be taken when changing the cells only by keeping the Mod upside down vertically, otherwise it is easy for the door to fall to the ground if you are used to handling devices with other opening systems. When closing the door, it is necessary to engage the door in the two side rails and slide it into the correct position. When you have inserted it, a powerful magnet will exclude the possibility of any movement.
The positive / negative polarity plate is marked "+" and "-" and it is entirely gold plated for better electrical conductivity.

Obelisk Tank:
Measuring 26mm at the base and 28mm in the center, with a height of 47.10mm Obelisk Tank can be defined as a compact atomizer for DL vaping. Obelisk tank is completely removable for a thorough cleaning of the components. The 810 type Drip-Tip is replaceable, the central body is provided with two large orings for a perfect watertightness of the glass. The lower part is threaded to allow the deck to be extracted, note the gold-plated protruding pins inside the deck for better electrical conductivity through the coil.

The opening system of the Top-Cap complies with the TPD laws, in fact it provides for child safety. It opens by lifting the cap and sliding it, the access door is protected by a silicone membrane.

The two large air passage slots are opposite each other and measure 14x3mm. These features leave no room for doubt, it is in fact a system designed for the RDL / DL vape to emit big clouds and to best savor the best fruity e-liquids.

GeekVape Z-Coil:
The large coils (Z series) must be inserted into the pressure tank, respecting the direction of insertion that blocks them thanks to two notches on the tank and two tabs on the coil itself. To facilitate the change or extraction of the coil, Geekvape has included a special tool in the package.

In the image below you can see in the foreground the two coils supplied in the kit and the complete list of resistors (Optional) with relative compatibility with other GeekVape devices.

Obelisk 200 Operation Guide:
• Power On / Off: Press the Fire button 5 times in quick succession.
• Power adjustment: Press the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the power between 5 and 100W, the increase is 0.5W at a time, from 100 to 200W the step is 1W at a time.
• TC: Press the "+" 0 "-" buttons to adjust the temperature. The increment is 5 ° F / 1 ° C from 100 ° C to 315 ° C or 200 ° F / 600 ° F, long press the button to speed up the adjustment.
• Menu: Press the Fire button 3 times to enter the POWER, NI setting mode. TI, SS. TCR, VPC BYPASS.
• Puff reset: In the menu press the Fire button to scroll and select "PUFF". Press "Down" to clear the current value.
• TCR: In the menu press the Fire button to scroll and select the TCR. Press "+" or "-" to adjust the TCR parameters.

• New atomizer: When a new atomizer is inserted the user is prompted to select new / old atomizer.
• Bypass mode: The output voltage is approximately equal to the battery voltage.
• FW display: Press the fire button 5 times to turn off the device, during shutdown press the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously for seconds, the version information will be visible for a few seconds.
• Stealth Mode: Simultaneously press the Fire button, the "+" button and the "-" button for 2 seconds and do the same procedure to exit the stealth mode.
• Change background color: In setting mode, press the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously to switch to the next theme (Blue, Green, Purple, Orange, Yellow).
• Screen brightness adjustment: Press the "+" and Fire button simultaneously for 1 second to display the brightness adjustment icon, hold down the fire button and adjust the brightness with the "+" and "-" buttons .

Final conclusions:

The chipset of the Obelisk Mod 200 offers several modes in addition to the classic power one. The circuit is reactive and precise in its indications, well interfaced with the colorful and clear display. It also seems to manage the energy consumption of the two 18650 batteries very well and in a balanced way

The Mod with its "classic" line does not allow space for unnecessary decorations is compact and thanks to the type of CNC construction with aluminum alloy transmits structural solidity without excessively affecting the weight which remains an element of strength even in this version (Obelisk 200 ). For the weight of only 110g of the Mod it is necessary to consider the weight of the two cells (about 90g). However, it remains difficult to find valid alternatives on the market in terms of weight and handling to such a robust, compact and well-made Mod.

Obelisk Sub-ohm Tank was thought by Geekvape to be aligned with the Zeus Sub-Ohm, both share the same type of replaceable coils. However, there is a substantial difference, the Zeus is equipped with AFC with adjustment from above, while the Obelisk Tank provides for air adjustment from below.
The regulation of the air from below certainly brings an enhanced aromatic yield, to the detriment of possible liquid losses, especially after inserting a new coil and during the first refills. Surely after the first periods of use the situation of liquid leaks improves significantly and is practically zeroed, like any other good sub-ohm tank with AFC positioned at the bottom.
I find it very pleasant to use this atomizer, it never overheats and returns a superior aromatic yield with large clouds, in particular using the exceptional 0.2Ω coil with range 70-80W (pre-installed).
