Hello there,
Today I have the vaporesso gen nano for review. It is a smaller version of the original GEN that I did a review about some time ago > Vaporesso GEN Mod review
Thank you @Vaporesso_Chelsea for sending this kit for review.

The kit comes with the GTX tank 22, which is a SUB-ohm tank that is compatible with the whole GTX coils.
Some specs from the Vaporesso website: (here is also the link Gen Nano » Vaporesso)

What I got in the kit:
• 1 x GEN NANO MOD
• 1 × GTX TANK 22 (3.5ml)
• 1 × GTX 0.2Ω MESH coil
• 1 × GTX 0.6Ω MESH coil
• 1 × Glass tube(2ml)
• 3 × O-ring
• 1 × USB cable
• 1 × GTX coil reminder card
• 1 × User manual
• 1 x Warranty card

First impressions
It is tiny this mod, especially compared to the original GEN. The materials feel as the same proper quality as with the GEN and it’s a nice hold. I like the looks of the box as well, not too much craziness and branding. Also, it is very light-weight with only 83 grams. You can screw any 24 mm (base) tank on here, which is OK.
Funny is that the screen on the NANO is larger than the GEN, this means that now the puff-counter is available on the main screen which was not the case on the GEN.

See below some pictures of the GEN next to the GEN NANO:

The fire-button is the same as on the GEN, works well but unfortunately made from plastic. Would have been nice if it would be metal. I do not like the navigation buttons from the NANO much as they are not aligned as on the GEN. It is always kind of a guess which button is which, would have been nice if they would have added a tiny carved in + and -.
Function wise they are very similar, it has really many functions for such a small mod.
It has so many functions you might even get lost into it. I personally only like using VW ECO mode and the options in DIY mode. The Smart TC works well, but I am not able to figure out how to set the wattage, I guess it does that as well automatically depending on the resistance.

The ECO mode gives you about 10% longer battery life like on the GEN, but on this NANO I really feel a massive drop in performance compared to regular VW or PULSE.
PULSE mode works very well, better than on the GEN. I really feel a boost in flavor and overall performance when in Pulse mode.
TC control works well, it is however a bit annoying that I do not see the wattage level on the screen itself, I need to hold the up and down button to see it and adjust it.
For those who are into VV, it is available, I myself did not test that out as I am not really into that and to be honest not even sure how to use it properly.
Firing speed is impressive, it really hits quick and hard. Especially on Pulse mode you get such a nice and hard direct hit from this little mod.
The battery holds up really well I have to say. At 60W I get 125 puffs out of one charge, which is not massive or anything, but quite proper for such small mod. While using for MTL you can easily get 500-600 puffs on one charge. Charging is also great, it just takes between 45-50 minutes to full get this thing charged up with its 2A charging. Some people might not like Micro-USB, but I don’t have an issue with that if it properly charges.
GTX Tank I would say is not really any unique tank, it is a simple Sub ohm tank. It works and it vapes. Would have like to see the tank being a bit higher, because the capacity (3.5ml) when vaping above 40w is just not enough. In my opinion a good thing is that it has a 510-drip tip connecter instead of 810, allowing you to also use MTL drip-tips. Have to say that the patterns and colors are really matchy with the mod.

The top-fill is also not my type, you need to unscrew the entire top cap to be able to fill this thing up. Of course, it then has lots of space for any bottle tip, but you just must be extra careful to not make a mess of it. Good thing is that at least the glass stays in place well after unscrewing not resulting in a disaster. Vaporesso should have gone with a slide or twist mechanism without having to take the top-cap off.
Airflow ring turns smoothly and there are 3 air inlets, it provides with enough airflow to get a proper vape at 60 or even 80 watts, not restricted at all. What I do like is that you can even use this tank for MTL. You won’t get a very tight draw, but something a bit airier, but for me satisfying enough to use as MTL. Here also the 510-drip tip comes in very handy. I find the airflow at fully open a bit loud, could have been a bit smoother.
Best part of this tank is that you can use it with the GTX coils, a series of coils for which I did a review together with the PM80SE. Great mesh coils that provide super good flavor and perform very well, not forgetting to mention that they will last you a good couple of weeks. Also, the MTL coils are good and they fit in the tank giving the option for an MTL vape. The coil plug system works well and had no leaks.
Conclusion:
A nice little mod that can be used for both DTL and MTL vaping. I personally would see this as a great MTL built-in battery mod since it’s so small. GTX Tank does what it’s supposed to do, it delivers a proper vape, but its not any unique or special tank. I personally would just buy the mod without the tank, but for those that don’t have a tank it is an OK starting tank.
Pro’s:
· Feels nice in the hand
· Design, simplistic minimal branding on the mod
· It’s small but powerful
· Materials used feel proper and provide good grip
· Tons of functions
· PULS mode really improves
· Fires up really fast
· Large screen for a small mod
· Battery capacity
· 2A charging – just 45-50 minutes
· GTX coils are just great
· 510 drip-tip allowing for MTL drip-tip
· Airflow adjustability allowing for lots of air or little for MTL
Con’s:
· Navigation buttons can be confusing
· Fire-button should have been made from metal
· Tank capacity (3.5 ml) is too little
· Filling method is not comfortable
· Airflow wide open is a bit loud
Thank you for reading, if you have any questions about the mod or I have missed anything let me know
Take care,
