Going through the stuff at Mom's house, my Personal Assistant had seen many pictures of me and my Hubby #2. Digging deeper, on Thursday, he saw a picture of me and Hubby #1. I love seeing people's reactions to those pictures. Hubby #1 and I, would get those same reactions in person. We used to get such a kick out of it. Let's just say, our 'drastic' differences in appearance, always surprised people. :)

Life is funny!

Any oxidation of the coil wire that happens from the process of building a microcoil is not going to make a difference. It is no different from dry-burning to clean your coil. Besides, just from regular use you are subjecting your wire to regular heating/cooling.

Maybe there is a factor I'm not aware of, I'm no scientist, but based on what knowledge I do have that quote is totally crap. I don't mind being proven wrong if I'm mistaken, but I have absolutely no information that could back up his side of the argument

I could have some choice words about the complete BS that spews from that particular source on a regular basis, but I'm gonna be nice instead and just stop there

So you think it's referencing the torching in order to *make* a microcoil? That would be BS.

I wonder if he was just momentarily confused and had it in his mind the oxidation of wire mesh.

At any rate I sometimes consider a high wattage/high temperature coil to be more dangerous in that I'm not really sure at what temperature some eliquid ingredients might be converted to something harmful, TSNAs, etc. But that wouldn't have been part of that discussion.

Yeah, I find it funny is all. Like I said im no expert and no one REALLY can say what happens on a molecular level unless we had access to mass spectrometers and other high level testing equipment. It just strikes me as BS , especially from the source which I feel no need to devow. ( spelling?)

Spacing on coils micro or not makes no logical difference. A heated wire is going to be what it is, touching or not? Oxidation is oxidation and happens the moment the wire get heated. Dry burning does leave some residue, from water and its contents ( calcium, fluoride etc) I brush it off with a little micro brush, just because I have them and cause' I just happen to see it with my magnifying glass when I make sure Ive burned off juice residue.

On a completely different topic....... I dont know if anyone is watching True Detective, I love it........ dark , weird with deep undertones. I saw 5 episodes back to back. Liked it so much saw it all over. Tonights episode made me mad, in a good way.
I like it when a movie or show makes you "feel" something, makes you think of life and how terrifying "people" can be.

I know how you feel. The other day I went to my neighbors house. She's a kindly old lady and I fixed her dryer for her. I didn't actually fix it since it wasn't broken, I just reconnected the exhaust pipe that the cat knocked out and it was blowing dry lint all over the basement. Any ways, on the way out she thanks me and hands me this plate full of fresh baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Woooohooo! The best cookie in the world! I said thank you and left. Then I get home and take a bite and it's not chocolate chip, it's oatmeal raisin (the worst kind of cookie because it looks like one thing but it isn't!) What kind of sick ....... gets someone excited about delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and then gives you dehydrated fruit oatmeal cookies? Thats just wrong. Next time she calls, I'm gonna....well I don't know what I'm gonna do but it will be good. Probably put crazy glue in her Denture cream. I'll think of something.

My cats do that! I think they do it on purpose, just to mess with me!

I was just browsing around out of boredom and found this on a thread on ECF:

"I would suggest you to avoid microcoils that stay steady all the time ******, because to archine this result you oxidise your wire and thats not good at all for your health. My suggestion is to make a coil that has threads close each other. Thats the best coil of all the others.

Dont believe what everyone says around, just be protected and thats my simple advice"

Now, Im not an expert but this statement makes no sense. Anytime you use wire such as Kanthal and you fire your device does it not get oxidized? Just seems that they are saying that because the atomizer they make , makes mirco coil use very difficult .
Without searching, I know exactly whom this is..
It seems that some are here to post non factual or unproven science. When I read these posts, I feel like asking, how long did you smoke?
I feel he did not do the same breakdown on cigarettes and ill health effects while smoking.
Cant we all just agree that ingesting any foreign substance other that O2 in our once virgin lungs is not natural?
Vaping is a safer alternative to smoking. I want to enjoy vaping not discuss why I shouldn't vape my way.
Isnt it funny how dangerous vaping is  when we used to carry around a lit cigarette that is exposed to combustible medium much of the day?
Hell, Im that guy who remembers ash trays on planes and smoking while pumping fuel.

My first car had 4 ashtrays. 4. I used to ride on the rear shelf when I was a kid. Nothing is constant but change.

Thank heavens for whomever invented the lithium ion battery.

True that. But, that same guy is .....ing how we are carrying lithium pipe bombs as we speak  , I'm just sure of it....

Hey Idaho, I keep reading your signature and I think its very cool. I dont have any tattoos, I thought about it, but never got the one that I would have wanted when I should have. Now a days, women getting tattoos has become almost a joke, sort of a trying to find their youth.

WHen growing up, my parents had a very narrow minded view of tattoos. In their generation and because of the "old world" European/ Spanish background only convicts, sailors and "savages" were tattooed. When I was growing up I only saw bikers and ex drunken high school peers with a collection of silly mis matched, in content and quality strewn willy nilly around their arms or back.

Rarely did I see people with really nice and beautifully applied art tattoos. I liked the ones that were Asian ( Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Egyptian, Greek etc) inspired or like the old timey cool ones with pin up girls or ship, or tribal designs. Being an artist since I can remember I always loved engravings and lithographs and saw many works of art on peoples skin.

I worked at an art gallery for a while and one of the best artists and nicest was a young man that painted the best oils. He had both arms covered in some beautiful Japanese waves with fish, dragons etc. He was polite, educated and funny, but all the other " ladies " that worked there were stand offish, and ignored him and called him "Carney boy" behind his back . I hated that, he was a much better painter and bought a lot of frames with out BS. He is now very successful and owns a ranch somewhere up north and a small house in Laguna Beach. Now they pay him attention but he ignores them. He always sends me updates on his showings and gallery parties.

I hate narrow minded people.

Let me tell you guys something. It will make you say 'Hugh?'. My Mother was friends, with a woman across the street. The woman has been driving me crazy! Snooping! Asking for things! Bothering me, when I am trying to work! Endless, stupid nonsense! But, I have been bending over backwards, trying to be nice to her. With the exception of a few personal items, I am gifting and donating all of my Mother's personal possessions. Anything of value, that I think may be of use to her, I have offered or given to that woman. Last week, my Personal Assistant and I, generated around 100 large/heavy bags of trash. Today, I went over there to carry the bags out to the road, for tomorrow's trash. I gave my Personal Assistant the week off. So, I was on my own. I knew, it was going to be a lot of work for me today. Particularly, with today's heat. What did I find, when I got there? Every bag, was torn open! I had to re-bag all the bags of trash. I thought, maybe a homeless person had been snooping. Come to find out, it was 'that woman'. She said "Oh, I just wanted to see if there was anything I could use.". Who does that? It was trash! It was personal trash! Personal trash in closed bags!

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people are just beyond the point of understanding. I've stopped trying to figure people out ;-) At least you've got us weirdos to help you de-stress :p

Harold Ramis passed away :( I saw him perform at Second City and Improv Olympic special events. Brilliant comedian.

Dude, that totally bummed me out :( Yet another of the comic geniuses I grew up on gone.

I love the art. Started for me in officers candidate school. I have come to befriend a couple very well known artists from LA and one from Texas who opened another shop in LA.
You will never realize how judgemental people are until your a person like myself. Im formally educated, 3 children graduated from major universities, very honorable military history, married to the same beautiful also educated woman for 26 years, sort of retired in my mid 40s, I volunteer at the local animal shelter weekly, soup kitchen, etc.....then people see me without a shirt in shorts and treat me like I just walked out of hell. Especially here in Mormonland. Both feet up to knees, both arms are sleeved, entire chest down past my 6 pack lol.
On the bright side I have also met some fascinating people.
I get often, "did it hurt?" My favorite reply is, "My entire time in prison hurt". Conversation usually ends there. PS - im prison free,
I feel my pieces are very tasteful and artsy. I hold color beautifully and have gorgeous color.
I will tell you, it is very easy to pick out the people that judge.
I honestly just don't care what anyone but those I love think. :) I like me.

SOOOooo??? Did you have a "talk" with her??? If you don't explain to her where she "crossed the line" ... She will continue to "trespass" up in your business"...Since you haven't established your boundaries... She will take whatever she can get...
Just because she know's better, doesn't mean she will "respect your space" ....In fact, because you gave her the other items, perhaps she felt "entitled" to go through your trash...
It's all just a little "misunderstanding..." Nothing that a few blows with a "blunt object" won't correct. "Few" being the the keyword here.
Any household item like a shovel, or a 10-12 in saute pan, should do the trick...and keep it short and sweet... any more than 3 or 4 good whacks and you'll look like you were enjoying yourself.
Or?? You could "gift" her with the rest of the stuff, and throw it in her yard...

I have tried talking to her regarding boundaries, many times! Today, I nicely 'lost it' on her. You can't fix greed. And, you can't fix stupid.

I can't wait, to be rid of those properties!

Rarely did I see people with really nice and beautifully applied art tattoos.

That is because there so few beautifully applied art tattoos actually out there that they are almost mythical. Sadly, most tattoos I see are some where around the middle school level in artistic skill and vision. There really ought to be a rule that if you wouldn't hang it on your wall for the rest of your life, don't ink it on your body. Sadly it's only gotten worse with Gen X and the Millennial generation embracing them. The tramp stamps and tribal inkings of the Beverly Hills and Fr. Lauderdale tribes have contributed little to tattoos as an art form.

We all like to think we don't judge others then you see a neck tattoo and all bets are off in the judging category. Hopefully, it will be a very long time before we see a President or Supreme Court Justice with a neck tattoo.
