I'm new to genesis atomizers, but I've already noticed a glaring issue with the flow of current and the flow of juice up the wick. Most people seem to suffer from that top hot leg. I've noticed that I don't get hot legs until the wick is wet. I believe what's happening is the top of the wick is getting dry first, which allows the positive end of the coil to heat up faster while the negative end stays cool from the juice. When holding the device horizontal so the wick stays wet, the coils have no hot legs.

juice flows UP the wick. The coil heats DOWN the coil. Isn't this counterproductive? Wouldn't it make more sense to reverse the polarity of the coil so it heats upwards, in the same direction of the juice flow?

By using a drill bit to wrap your coil on first (Petar K method), put the bit in the wick hole and connect your coil. Remove the bit and make sure it glows and the coils are spaced evenly. Then put your wick into the preformed coil last. Make sure it goes in easy - if not roll it a little tighter. It should fit a little loosely in the coil, but not to where you have any gaps between the wire and the wick. You can avoid an overly tensioned wire this way.
