Does anyone else use this tank? What are your thoughts about it?

It doesn’t seem popular here in the US which is a little baffling since it is such a great tank and does everything from MTL to DTL. Maybe it’s because the only reviews I could find on YouTube were in German (which I don’t speak). LOL

As an FYI, it is a Genius2 tank with a Velocity style deck. This setup is a “top tank” that uses SS steel rods to wick juice from the tank up to the deck. You wick it just like you would on any RDA.

I received my Genolocity the other day and it has become one of my favorite tanks. It was about $15 and I also ordered extra glass and an accessory kit (Rings, screws, DT adapter, SS rods, mesh). Watched a vid and learned to remove the inner strand of wire from the wire wicking ropes (rods) and then slid them in the tank. Low and behold they work pretty good. My cotton is always moist but not as wet and saturated as my Limitless tank.

I started vaping with MTL at 9 watts but over time I moved to DTL and now vape mostly between 60 and 80 watts. This RTA works well at 65-70 watts. Over that and I can start getting a faint hint of the cotton taste. Not a dry hit, in fact I have yet to get a dry hit even when chain vaping at 80 watts, but a slight hint of cotton. Maybe it is because I vape unflavored so there is no masking of flavor.

It has a 4.5 ml tank but in all honesty, with 6 rods installed I think it is more around 3 ml. I find I fill it more often than my Limitless RTA. But filling it is easy. In fact, it has an ingenious fill method and only takes about 3 seconds to fill.

Questions for other owners…

What is the best way to wick this tank? The SS rods work well, but I’m contemplating trying cotton, or silica in conjunction with the rods. I would like to be able to run it at higher watts if I so desire.

Has anyone tried it with SS mesh? I don’t have any experience with mesh. I’ve heard it can’t really keep up with higher wattage vape styles. I’d certainly be willing to give it a try if anyone has had success.

I have to say…

I’m generally surprised by the lack of information available for this tank.

PROS:

Easiest to fill tank ever.

No dry hits even at 80 watts.

Easy to build on (Velocity deck)

Holds a decent amount of juice.

Wide bore drip tip.

Affordable.

Spare parts are available (Glass tanks, O-rings, screws, rods).

Built to last. This tank feels solid and looks like it will last a long time.

Supports MTL and DTL. DTL airflow is pretty airy. Not as airy as the Limitless, but airier than the Boreas tank.

Doesn’t leak. Had it laying on its side for 3 hours and no leaking. Left it upside down and it did leak after a bit but come on. J

Toptank – not subject to leaking due to temp changes.

CONS:

Not a lot of available info in English

Kind of heavy

Tall, tallest tank I own.

Lots of parts, o-rings everywhere.

Thanks

I've seen it on here before, and it's an intriguing design. I know it's a Genesis style with a velocity deck, but I'm curious how you were running it at 9W and MTL. Is there an insert to block one side (like I believe the Avocado has), or do you have to run your single coil across the posts? And how does the airflow get restricted for MTL? These are usually pretty airy designs.

I like the look and design, just never considered it for MTL use.

Edit: also, that price. That was for a clone? I thought it was a more expensive tank as well.

Yes it is a clone, well kinda. The company that makes it is reputable for cloning the Genius2 as a very well made 1:1 clone. They decided to upgrade their Genius2 clone by using a Velocity style deck and renamed it the Genolocity. A well spent $15 if I must say so.
For mouth to lung you can build a single coil on one side and flip the AFC ring and choose from a few air holes from really tight to fairly open.

Below are pictured the AFC flipped and set to restricted airflow. Also shows the AFC pieces.

You may notice I tried replacing 4 of the rods with cotton in an attempt to get faster wicking when vaping at 80+ watts.
It does seem to keep the cotton wick on the deck a bit more saturated. I haven't seen anyone do this but it seemed like a good idea. I'm liking it this way. :)
