All AW batteries I found on ebay look like these:

The ones from empiremods.com look like these:

One has more wording on it. Are they both original because the ones from empiremods.com are much cheaper ($12 vs $8)

I buy all my AW batteries from RTD, an authorized AW vendor who recently confirmed he gets his batteries from the guy actually named AW in China. I just looked at my 18350's and they look like the ones in the first pick, with the extra writing on the casing.

I know there are counterfeit batteries out there, and with AW being the most popular name brand they would be a likely target to counterfeit. I would e-mail Empire Mods and inquire about what their AW source is. Or just buy from RTD if the 18350's are back in stock.

Are any AW genuine? They are rewraped high quality batteries.

True. AW is a distributor in China who tests and hand picks the best batteries with a high standard of quality control, and then has them re-wrapped in his signature style. They have earned a stellar reputation as being consistant battery-to-battery. More mod manufacturers recommend his batteries than any other name brand.

I agree there tweety. Even though I don't know anything about business, I bet that AW fella is making a boatload of money. I wonder if we can buy stock? Nevermind, better not answer that -- I have enough trouble just balancing my checkbooks.

I imagine if ya stick me infront of a spreadsheet and have me run a co-op, I'll land myself on america's most wanted overnight :p

I had a Pila that served as a real workhorse for 1.5 years. Sometimes charging up to six batteries a day despite only being a two bay charger. One of the bays stopped working so I needed a new charger. My daughter was getting her first mod setup around the same time.

I got her a Nitecore i2 and myself an i4. Both have been working like a charm for a few months now.
