A start-up supplier in South-Germany has been just halted his import delivery, the halting Government Officer "advised" for J+J "Nicorette Inhaler" and against free competition and free market in a official fax letter to him, this is the corrupt German "Pharmacy-Lobbycommunism and -Trade Protection" I've stated before here in another thread, now it's striking on e-cigarettes 8-o

The lobbies of our anti-free-pharmacymarket communist-like Pharmacy Guilds like the
http://www.abda.de/
are strongest in Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bayern (Bavaria) where their preferred political CDU/CSU ("Christian Socialist Party") /FDP parties are in Government to keep drug prices and profits for pharmacists and Johnson+Johnson & Co the highest worldwide at very low service and product quality according to OECD statistics!

Law measures against such corrupt government personnell and corrupt officers should be taken immediately  and we've got elections this year here, Germans make sure those "Pharmacy-Communism" supporting parties pay with loosing many voters!

What I could understand was similar to what is going on in US... govt saying it's medical and has to follow rules like NRT. Possibly a letter saying inhalers were shown approved as effective for cessation. I couldn't find anything about communism. ;)

Unfortunately, my first order was in customs detained. After much back and forth, the deposits by the Federal Institute examined. The Competent told me that nicotine deposits were classified as medicinal products. This has the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) on 21.11.2008 decided. Thus it needs different licenses, etc. to the nicotine in DE introduce depots.

I got the same thing, Jamie, from reading a translated version of the entire thread. The "return to sender" policy seems to be the beginning of a ban, but Germany is awaiting action for all of the EU (the same group that ridiculously banned snus!!!).

This graf of official language did make sense in translation:

"Finally, I would like you to give notice that comparable products (are) pharmaceuticals and medical devices, whose effectiveness and safety has been demonstrated "

That's pretty much the rallying cry for bans everywhere. E-cigs are not proven safe and effective; there are alternatives; use them; ban e-cigs.

Maybe You don't know our culture ;)

Hmm. So missing free market competition and (very high) "minimum wages" by law for pharmacists and lawyers, doctors in DE by law is no more "Communism" to Americans, what has happened to You 8-o ? But this is exactly how the former Communist East-German German Democratic Republic ruled! It cannot be called "Monopoly" because money profits guaranteed by the Government (namely SPD Secretary of Health Schmidt) are in...

And remember our CDU Chancellor Angela Merkel was raised there and she was even a minor leading member of the Communist SED youth organisation FDJ ;)
