Getting back into vaping, need help.

recently i quit vaping a few months ago it just started to get expensive because although i tried to get into DIY juice my flavors were NEVER good and the steeping took forever imo. so i just bought juice and it racked up for like $100 a week.

looking to get back into vaping but at a more complex level. used to be a flavor chaser now i just want massive clouds. where do i start? Mod wise, etc..

currently my setup is a fuchai 213 and a tobeco velocity clone. doesn't give very good clouds imo even with max vg juices. ontop of that if i put the temp too high it literally burns my coil in half i think it's a 22-24gauge wire but whenever i go maybe 50 watts for a long period of time idk like 6 seconds and take hit after hit it snaps the coils where i screw them in and they are not even tight.

could someone please steer me ina right direction. what type of gauge, type of coil, mods to look for, etc.. i usually just roll regular coils nothing fancy like a clapton or anything and they are always subohm.

You need to be more specific with what type and guage of wire you are using, and if you are using temp control or wattage mode. If you could also post some pictures of your build that would help a lot.
The atomizer you have is a good one, and with a 200 watt mod you should be able to fog out an aircraft hanger.

i listed guage of wire it is 22-24 gauge i used whatever i can find usually it's 24. as to the type i think it is SS ( stainless steel ) but i do have some nichrome as well. im using wattage mode. i don't think the fuchai 213 has a temp control but my other mod did which i would often use until it broke. it was the snowwolf v1.5 i think the silver and black box mod.

as for my build pretty much i just use Cellucotton for wicking i do have some japanese cotton but i don't use it often it always clogs my mod up idk if it's because im putting too much wick in or what but after a day or 2 it gets all black where as a cellucotton i can use it at least 3-4 days. coils i just make regular coils not many brick and motar stores here that sell pre made coils like alien coils or claptons and i don't have the tools to make them nor want to buy them just to make coils it'll be a huge waste of money versus just buying them pre made in bulk online. only thing bad about my coils really is that they are not perfect. i use an old screw driver so idk the diameter even. when i run duel coils they come to about .20-.30 ohms.

sometimes i get nice clouds but then other times it's just like meh.. they are okay with max vg but nothing too insane for my liking yet i see people at work with decent builds that have insane clouds and they are not even running drippers they are all running RTA's. also like i said whenever i run a high temp on this mod it always burns my coil and breaks it.

1. Is it 22 or 24 guage, 22-24 is not a guage. Neither of these wires will just break, not at 50 watts not at 200 watts. The burning you are describing could be due to a number of things, most likely poor wicking. Pictures will help.

3. As far as I know your mod does have TC, are you using it or not, you seem unsure.

it is both 22 and 24. they don't carry much variety in my bnm stores as the thicker wires typically are sold out when i go so i have a few that are 22 and some that are 24. you would think they just don't break i've never had this issue before either but this .... breaks i've noticed it when i would put it at like 48watts then it works and all of a sudden i get "low resistance" or even "no atomizer" on my mod or it would often jump saying my ohms is idk .20 then it will say no atomizer and then say .20 again. i would make new coils and then fire them up to see how they were when i didn't smash them together to make a tight fit since i roll it by hand not a jig that makes it perfect and fast and thus how i found out. after a few pulses it burnt off the leads. thought i just tightened it down hard but no it literally burnt that .... off lol. i think it's because the wire is too thin and im pulsing it at a higher temp then i should be. this all happened on my velocity rda with this mod only but i've had these spools of wire for a long time it's always the same brand UD. just checked i even have Nickel as well and even 28 gauge so 22,24 and 28 gauge i've been using.

2. depends on the coils i have all types. i have stainless steel, kanthal, and even nichrome. i literally have about 6 spools of wire all 22 or 24 gauge. again it HIGHLY depends whichever one is nearest to me when building this is the one i use.

3. no. pretty sure i've never used TC on this mod. this was just a mod i bought at a random moment when my snowwolf suddenly broke. wires or something fried i guess it kept reading "cold coil" out of nowhere as one day it worked and then the next it just read cold coil.

i ended up buying a smok alien and testing out the baby beast with it see how that one chucks but this mod has been getting some good reviews. going to try to build around this mod and get back into learning about battery safety since it's been a while since i vaped then possibly try unregulated mods/mech mods.

I pulse my coils at 25 watts because on a high wattage for too long pulsing it would make your coil snap. As far as getting all these odd warnings on your device, idk but what I know is that if you've researched and therefore know what you're doing, those things shouldn't happen. Do you have an ohms reader?

haha yea i know the way i build my coils is fked up thats why i use the same amount of wraps and diameter but the wire gauges always vary so my ohms are all over the place. i wasn't too consistant with my builds since at the time i didn't care as long as it kept me off the cigs which it did for a long time now i want to get more serious

i got those weird readings only on my snowwolf i tossed it out for the fuchai because even when i put in new coils at a higher resistance they still read cold coil. i thought it was the batteries but it wasn't it was the mod it eventually didn't turn on after a while with full battery.

i haven't gotten my smok alien mod in yet i just bought it yesterday but im using my fuchai with some pre rolled claptons i bought at an eciggity store by my work and it's chucking pretty damn nice on this fuchai 213. they are 0.9 ohms per coil running 2 of them. yes i do have a ohm reader as well i bought a long time ago sadly idk where the fk it is i used it when i started rolling my own coils now idk where it is so i might buy a new one or just one of those coil master sets. as for the coil snapping i believe it was because i pulsed it at a very high wattage usually i pulse my coils low but then i started pulsing them at like 50 watts and thats when they snapped idk if it was 50 but i know it was 40-50's. i usually do it around 25-30's and they hold fine.
