Hey everyone, I'm finally ready to ditch my protanks and get into some rba's. Any recommendations ? I mostly vape 50/50 or 100VG

Must have a glass tank, and be noob friendly haha. Being under $40 would be nice too. I was looking into an AGA T2/3, or a Fogger. Can cotton wick be used? And what's the difference between silica and mesh wick

oDANo---I could've posted the exact same thing, except my protank's been pretty much been replaced already by my Igo-L. I was thinking the smoktech rsst would be perfect, except it has a plastic tank which strikes it off the list for me. I plan on getting an aga t2 because its affordable, and is stainless steel/glass.

Yeah, plastic is a no go for me. Definitely has to be a glass tank

I personally haven't had a problem with the poly tank. There is a SS tank for the RSST as well... JB Steamworks Stainless Steel RSST Tank - Kidney Puncher

I like the idea of an all ss tank and don't think I'd care about not seeing how much liquid is left in the tank, but I just can't see paying more for the tank then the whole rsst itself. And also more than I paid for my svd, as it came from fasttech, lol... I've also done a whole lot of research about the aga t2 and I believe I can deal with any issues that may come up, though I'm not really expecting many, because I don't plan on using ss mesh. I'm just a little too concerned about hexavalent chromium at the moment.

That topic has been discussed in length on the forum from a while back and there has been no evidence of any harm at all in using mesh. I've been using atty's for almost 3 yrs now that have mesh in them... You might want to do a forum search and educate yourself a little more on the subject...

Without turning this into a discussion of Cr6, I will just say that yes, I have read some of those threads, definitely not all, as some were quite long. And also I work at a shipbuilding co. which at times we have to work with ss and have had to go over the neccessary precautions when cutting (with a torch), welding and grinding ss and I have decided for myself that it's something I don't want to use as a wicking material. :)
