Kayfun lite+ is now my everyday vape, stopped using my clearos all together kinda Lol. Heres a shot of it next to my SVD in 650 mode no tank. dishes out the flavor and vapor that you want and looks good ontop the nemmy too

Have you any experience with gennys? If not - there is a steeper learning curve, to attain a solid build, than with a Kayfun type atty. By comparison, the only thing (marginally) easier to build than a KF, is a sQuape... due to the thumb nuts and high resistivity of the ematal deck.

If you're on a budget, FT just started carrying a glass tank sQuape clone for around $20. No personal experience with whatever mystery brand FT sells (Hcigar, Tobeco - not a clue)... only the genuine Stattqualm and the EhPro clone, which is on the higher end of the clonosphere.

Saying that, you'd probably be better off starting with a KFL+/Russian 91% clone... FT carries 2-3 variations, all under $27.

You can pick up Efest IMRs for around 6-8 bucks, and a Nitcore i4 Intellicharger for under $20. These are the least expensive batteries and charger that I feel comfortable recommending.

I agree strongly. I have had great results with the Fasttech Kayfuns.

+1 on the Kayfun / Russian avenue. Great devices, and although I haven't messed with all the clones, I have heard very good things about many of them as well. With the ease of use of the Kayfuns / R91%, I cannot convince myself that I want to deal with a Genny. Keep in mind that as soon as I say that, someone will come along with the exact opposite opinion and crow FOR the Genny's...and they will be just as correct; the ability to get a good vape and device preference are just as much about the user as the device. I think that it is easier to get good performance out of a KFL+ / R91%, but the possible vape quality after all the learning and fiddling required is likely a bit higher with a good Genny and a good build. Agree with the above, if you know how to build Gennies, go for it. If you don't, KFL+ or R91% is easier.

+1 on the Nitecore Intellicharger i4. I just bought one for about...$17, I think. I have been super happy and impressed with it as a charger, and I can't imagine myself ever buying anything else in the future. Very solid and inexpensive devices, check Amazon and you'll find bunches of em for pennies.

Batteries? There's a lot of right answers here. I am using Orbtronic NCR186500PD 2900mah's, unprotected, and I picked them up from the Orbtronic store on Amazon for $20 / set of 2. These have a 10 amp limit, so if you want to cook some serious subohms, I might look into the Sony US18650VTC4's. They are 2100mah and have a massive 30 amp limit (so 15 amps continuous is definitely doable). Those will also run about $11 each on Amazon. I don't know much about the E Fest batteries, as I specifically wanted the high amp limit cells I purchased (my device has a 5 amp limit, and electrical safety says have twice the limit / protection that you anticipate at maximum), but I know a lot of folks here will swear by them, and they would know.

Hey Dan...

Well, I don't know about all FT Kayfun/Russian clones (I understand that some aren't even good enough to qualify as paperweights ;) )...
... but the one I linked to is toward the higher end of the FT / Tobeco quality spectrum, one I've actually laid hands on, and it is a (semi) R91% clone, so a bit better in that regard than what I've seen of some of the lower cost FT / KFL+ variations.

I seldom order anything from FT... but a good friend is an FT junkie, easily ordering a few hundred bucks a month from them. It's often a hit and miss proposition - but as I'm the one who builds all his rebuildable attys (he has fine motor control issues) I get to see what's well done and what's crap... without investing my own cash. :p
