I just got my MVP2 last night after having to decide between it and the itaste vv v3. Well I'm having some issues.

I'll start off with something that isn't actually the MVP2's fault but has irritated me. The iClear30 I got with it will not work. I can't seem to find anything wrong with it. I filled it up with juice and then I got a NON reading and yeah. Didn't make me a happy camper. Unjuiced it (managed to lose most of the juice too from not paying attention, my fault though. Then I checked the forums. Took the plastic cap off the top and the coil seemed to be centered and not touching the metal sides. Tightening and untightening the atty four or five times (different tightness each time) didn't help. Nor could I figure out how possibly the center post could be pulled out or in. So there goes that. Probably a dead atty. Which is awesome because now I have a tank I'd like to try sitting around and I'm not going to buy attys for it when I don't even know how it hits.

Now onto the actual MVP2.

Sometimes my mini protank 2's don't register for a bit. Then suddenly will work. I do not understand this. I do nothing to them expect just wait for the machine to register it so I don't know why this would be happening.

It's burning my CE4's and mini protanks a bit? I've been experimenting, mostly with the wattage, but haven't really done anything that I can imagine would burn it. I only know this because when my MPT2 wasn't registering I took it off and cleaned the bottom out with a qtip and it turned black. Inside the MVP2's connector thing it didn't have much, but there was some black residue too.

The resistance will change when the same tank is sitting on it. A mini pro tank 2 will go from 2.1 to 1.9 within 5 minutes. Not really sure how that works.
(Interesting bit, I got two CE4's with my ego starter kit I bought like two weeks ago. One registers 1.9 resistance. The other is usually 2.5 but has registered up to 3.9. Tightening it pretty tight (not completely though I've read enough to know better) got it from 3.4 to 3.9. Odd that two of the same things would be that different.)

Okay so other than the protank mini 2 not working for a while and then magically working and the iClear30 being a dud, overall I can deal with this. And other than those two things, I am pretty much in love with it. I know that nothing is perfect, but dang I wish it could be.

Okay I got the iClear30 working FINALLY. Had to completely take out the center pin and honestly I don't think that was the problem since I put it on my ego batt and it worked.

So I tried to pull up the pin on my MVP a bit to see if that would help.

Scariest thing of my life. It would kill me to wreck new gear.

Worked. And now the iclear tastes burnt. I mean I have straight 100% VG juice and I did dry burn the (somewhat saturated) wicks that I had had in when I had the juice in the night before. So I don't think it should taste this burnt but whatever.

When I had pulled the pin all the way out on the iclear30 I put it on the MVP pin and did a resistance reading. Had .1 to .9 to .00. So there's something interesting in my day.

Wow :( I haven't been on here much lately and I am reading a lot of MVP2 issues. That really blows. 100% VG is a pain to put through clearos. Try to thin it with a bit of distilled water. Vodka is another go to as well. I'll just open the tank and start with a couple drops of water, close it back up, shake, and then try again. Shaken not stirred ;) The ohm reading seems pretty odd as well. Maybe try swaping out coils or the atomizer head in the tank. Sorry you're having issues. Never fun when tech problems poop on your parade.

I have the original version of the MVP. It fired iClear 16 & 30's fine, but wouldn't fire my cartotanks. I had to pull the MVP's center pin up, works fine now.

It seems a fair number of MVP's, either first or second generation, have had these center pin issues. It's an easy enough fix if you can realize what the problem and the solution is.

Having said that, I still think the MVP line is one of the best lower cost APV's on the market.

I got the mvp also. I got it for a christmas gift. Was going to wait till christmas to use it but that did not work out. I also noticed a few little quirks about it. The puff counter is way way off. HAs me doing like 500 puffs in one hour? I set the voltage and when you press the 2 buttons at the same time those reading come up with the incorrect volts? I need to watch some youtube vids to see if it is me for sure or it is this.

As far as the puff counter goes, it's pretty basic. It goes up one number everytime you fire the button. The ONLY time it resets is if you power down the device (three clicks) or if it goes to 999 and resets. I have never had my puff counter show incorrect data, but I don't use it.

As far as the value you see after the ohm reading, that is remaining battery life left.

A fully charged battery shows 4.2 volts. Fully discharged is 3.3v.

Here is the breakdown of "green, yellow and red" LED

3.75v to 4.2v = green led
3.61v to 3.75v = yellow led
3.3v to 3.61v = red led
3.3v and lower, blinking red and unit will not fire.

My older style MVP is my backup. It hasn't given me any fits. I use a Kanger EVOD and keep it at 3.7 volts. The threads started to strech after a couple months. It's a good cheap AVP and I am not going to dog it (too much). Just kind of sad to read about all of the issues with V2. There were bugs in the older modle, but IMO this new one got rushed out. This kind of stuff makes me sad :(

Nope, the person who purchased it works with me and absolutely loves it. It wasn't a good fit for me. But then, it didn't stand a chance when compared to my REO's.

Horses for courses mate. If it doesn't work for you then all I can say is - Happy Christmas!

Any more ideas.....a non reading on iclear30 after refilling. Third or fourth refill, not overfilled. Won't fire or read on MPV or Provari. Fiddled with center pin. THis is my first ic30, anymore suggestions before giving up? Thx

I just got a ego to 510 (or opposite, too lazy to check) adaptor in the mail I didn't realize I didn't need and after having mine work at first after pulling my center pin up on my MVP it got pushed down again. Well once I got the adaptor I thought I'd see how funny it looked on my MVP with it on. So I put it on with it and expected the non reading and walahh. The pin must be down enough on the adaptor that it works. So maybe that could help you. It was 5 bucks and would work for everything in case the pins on either side aren't being easy.

is the pin on the bottom of the iClear30 flush with bottom or pushed in?

Do you have a stand alone multimeter to check to see if it is the MVP or the iClear30 head itself?

Apparently there seems to be an issue with the iClear30 on many devices, seems the center pin on the iClear30 is the culprit (not the center pin on the battery device)...need to pull the center pin down (I wonder if you can remove the head and push the center pin down vs trying to pull it out with needle nose pliers)

thank you War and Zen
The Iclear 30 worked great for three to four refills on both Provari and MVP only with a little gurgle. Now it won't fire on either, although both devices will fire other toppers. So it truly is the iclear prob. I will try and find my multimeter today and check it. I did push and pull on the pin, just didn't want to break it. I guess I'll try and little harder adjusting it since I don't have anything to loose..............lol
