I recall having a similar issue when I first started vaping. Can't remember the exact timeframe but it was approximately 1-3 months after switching. I thought I would have to stop vaping. Instead I did the mouth/nose 'no lung' inhale thing for about a week and everything cleared up, been fine ever since.

Hope it's the same for you, hope that it's just your body getting rid of the old smoking junk and being a little pissy about it.

Sorry to hear you're still feeling meh, Signal. I get bronchitis as a secondary after every cold I get, certainly due to my smoking history.

Fortunately I don't get sick often and less so since vaping, but when I do the cough really hangs on. I'm talking weeks here, not days, of horrible coughing.

It's awful and I'm very sorry you are going through it.

As I said in your other thread, try a minty vape and see if you can't keep your vape mostly in your sinuses, it's hard to change years of inhale habit but maybe try to pretend it's a cigar for a while.
Keep us updated :)

......
It does annoy me that I can't find any reliable information to why my body is reacting this way.....

vaping is new so I am not surprised you can't find info, I think we are the ones doing the research on ecigs!

I find that I inhale only a little into the throat...........

I'm feeling better but I am still not able to vape like I used to. I have to do very low wattage and tiny hits spaced out otherwise I start coughing.

Hopefully, you have already tried these things:
1) see your doctor or pulmonologist for a complete lung work-up. Ex smokers have lung damage
2) vape 100% VG w/out flavoring or nic to see your reaction
3) vape 100% PG w/out flavoring or nic to see your reaction

The last 2 things should tell you a lot about what you can and cannot vape.

Sorry to hear that you're having problems. I can suggest trying some menthol drops in your vape. In my last life, I had a bad case of bronchitis, (is there such a thing as a good case) anyways, my Doc suggested menthol. I always bought menthol anyways so no prob - it does take some time to clear up that cough tho. Hope you feel better soon......
