i tried to wash and clean the amty but still... taste nasty , is it means the atmy is dead?
Wow! I just can't believe you posted that?I know that some people are going to think this is crazy but...
I had one 510 atty that I just couldn't get this funky, burnt blue foam taste out of. I tried a diet-soda soak. Warm water and dish soap clean. Just about everything. Nothing worked.
So before I chucked it in the trash, I got an Idea. Why not try soaking it in Acetone?
What do I have to loose? Its going in the trash anyway, right? So I got an small glass jar and poured about a ¼ of an inch worth of Acetone in it. Drop the atomizer the atty in it and waited 5 minutes.
When I pull it out it didnt look any different on the outside. The powder coating on the outside was unaffected. But the inside looked clean as a whistle and ceramic cup looked much whiter. I gave it a double rinse in warm tap water and let it dry overnight. The next day I gave it a try. I dialed 91 on my cell phone just and kept my finger on the 1 button just in case the first hit sent me into a seizer.
Not seizer. No Blindness. Ne chemical taste. In fact, it was about the cleanest hit I have ever gotten from a atty.
Not recommending that people rush out and try this on All there attys but you might want to give it a shot if you have one that you are about to throw out anyway.
BTW - With Acetone, like all the "tones" skin contact should be minimized. Use twissers to handle the atty. Also Acetone can disolve some plastics and can remove some finishes like paint and varnish. Use with caution.
Wow! I just can't believe you posted that?
WHY........
Other than it is a nasty chemical?
Acetone dissolves glue. Also melts plastic (the airway in the bottom of a 510 is plastic).
Not a good idea.

What about all the ethyl alcohol that is used in all the juices and all the suggestions I see on this forum to add ethyl alcohol to the juices?
Are we putting our health in danger by doing that?
zolDman owns stock in Kleen Strip Acetone! LMAO Only kidding. If you could be sure to rinse all the acetone out of your atty this would probably be ok, but there is soo much mesh and wick inside an atty I don't think you could ever get ALL of it out. Just my opinion.
